With rumors of Adam Lambert on American Idol making the rounds, show sources now confirm that TV's top-rated program really is looking to make wholesale changes.

It may very well replace Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler.

"No one has signed any contracts yet and producers are currently putting out feelers and setting up meetings to see who they can get," an Idol source tells E! Online, adding that the following names are under panel consideration:

  • Miley Cyrus, No Pants
  • Katy Perry Goes Retro
  • Nicki Minaj in Vogue
  • Picture of Fergie

Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Fergie, Katy Perry and Will.I.Am.

American Idol sent two contestants home last night, as it was the end of the singing line for Naima Adedapo and Thia Megia.

But the sad news for fans of those finalists was pre-empted by by a couple of entertaining performances.

First, Fantasia Barrino returned to the stage that made her famous and got the crowd on its feet for a rendition of "Collard Greens & Cornbread," giving a shout-out to Steven Tyler near the end of it. What do you think of this single? Give it a listen here:

Also, Jamie Foxx and will.i.am teamed up. They got down with a drum line and a series of dancers and introduced the world to "Hot Wings," their song off the Rio soundtrack. Check out the elaborate performance below.

"This song is about love and strength and is dedicated to our friends in Japan."

That's how Will.I.am introduced his group's rendition of "Just Can't Get Enough" last night, as The Black Eyed Peas followed Lee DeWyze and performed on the American Idol results show.

Toned down a bit from their Super Bowl spectacle, the single featured Will.I.am on the piano and Fergie in a white dress with St. Patrick's Day-themed nail polish. A nice touch. Check out their performance now:
