The Hills is over and done with. The fate of Whitney Port's spinoff, The City, is up in the air. What will she do if it's canceled by MTV, which is very possible?

"Good question - I don’t know!" the 25-year-old said at an American Cancer Society event, noting that as of right now, "Everything is still so up in the air."

Currently living in Los Angeles, where she was born and raised, Whitney Port will probably focus on expanding her fashion collection - on the West Coast.

Whatever Whitney Port does, it will be stylish.

"My family and my friends are out here, so it's where my heart is. But I will continue to do my line, which is really what I always wanted to do anyway."

"The City is great and so much fun to do, and I'm able to share what I do with so many people, [but] either way it'll be OK." Doesn't sound too optimistic.

As for her line: "I've made a separates collection with basically all these layering pieces, like leggings, bandeau bras and little Spandex numbers," she says.

As for her love life, Whitney's been dating Ben Nemtin (of The Buried Life) for the past seven months. "Things are standing at a fine point. He's wonderful."

Shenae Grimes could eat more. But in the meantime, she and Whitney Port will try to make the other eat their fashionable dust in this style showdown!

Worst. Intro. Ever.

If you've read any 90210 spoilers for the coming season, you know the show is turning up the controversy. Shenae's following suit in real life with a black leather miniskirt, see-through top and huge cross - that's "back to school" fashion to us!

The City star Whitney Port went a little more conservative the items she paired her skirt with. Whose style do you like better? Vote in our survey below.

A style showdown between Whitney Port and Rihanna is clash of fashion titans, albeit very different ones. We love these two. But there can be only one winner.

Amazingly, both The City star and fashion designer and the pop star manage to make their looks work well with wildly printed, black and white harem pants.

MC Hammer would be proud ... if he could afford an Internet connection and read this. Just kidding. Probably. Dude was in serious financial trouble for a time.

Anyway, who looks better? Check out the Whitney and Rihanna pics and vote!

Whitney Port knows a thing or two about style, which you know if you watch The City or just read websites like this one. The Cali cutie's got an eye for design.

Brooklyn Decker, meanwhile, tends to make fairly decent style fashion selections herself, though it certainly never hurts to be a Sports Illustrated cover model.

Who rocked this similarly striped look better, however?

The reality star and Whitney Eve entrepreneur pairs her Alice + Olivia sequined top with ripped jeans and a blazer for shopping in the Big Apple recently (left).

The wife of Andy Roddick paired her white and black striped shirt with a khaki skirt while in N.Y.C. Was she able to out-duel Whitney in this style showdown?

You be the judge of that ...

Whenever Katy Perry hits the red carpet, as she did last night at the at the 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards, you know she's going to make a fashion splash.

The girl can sell records. Notice we didn't say she can sing.

The 25-year-old wore a bright blue Ashish dress with sexy cut-outs. Later in the night, she rocked “California Gurls.” We'd prefer just to look at that dress.

Meanwhile, The City star Whitney Port arrived in a colorful dress that's right up Katy's alley too. As always, we love her fashion sense. And hair. And smile.

This is a celebrity style showdown even more difficult to choose a winner in than when Perez and Pauly D do battle, only for the complete opposite reason.

We just profiled the clashing fashions of Stephanie Pratt and Julianne Hough at last night's MTV Movie Awards. Now, we look at not one but two Hills girls.

Well, one current and one former Hills star, anyway. Going back to her California roots, The City star Whitney Port looked sunny as can be in canary yellow.

Kendall Jenner Fashion

Her curve-hugging mini and matching suede sandals looked fabulous if you ask us - but what do you expect from a budding designer and natural beauty?

Meanwhile, it was all about the glam shot for Audrina Patridge, who shimmied in a one-sleeve, silver-sequined dress, showing a lot less skin than usual.

It's up to you to pick the winner. Vote below ...

Whitney Port’s design career is taking off in stores, on the runway, and on MTV's The City. Looks like our girl's a rising star in the celebrity fashion world. Right?

Well, she's officially hit a snag in the form of a lawsuit just filed by designer Adrienne Baravetto, who claims she helped Whitney Port design and launch her line.

In 2007, Baravetto alleges she had an oral agreement with Port and her father, Jeff, including a $80,000 yearly salary plus a 25 percent stake in the company.

Baravetto also alleges that she did virtually all the design work and that the Ports haven’t paid her a dime. Pretty shady if so. But is this claim even legitimate?

Port’s lawyer Michael A. Taitelman said the following:

Did Whitney Port cut out a former design collaborator?

“The lawsuit that Adrienne Baravetto filed against Whitney Eve, Inc., Whitney Port and others regarding the Whitney Eve clothing line is baseless and without merit. Whitney Port is, and always has been, the designer of Whitney Eve."

"Baravetto worked for Whitney Eve for a short period of time ending in early 2008. For more than two years, she has been silent. For reasons that we will uncover, she has decided to make these unsubstantiated allegations at this time."

"The defendants will vigorously defend themselves, and upon the successful conclusion of this lawsuit, intend to hold Baravetto and her counsel accountable.”

Sounds confident. Counters Baravetto’s attorney Peter Maretz, “Ms. Baravetto did the heavy lifting for these designs and she just wants to get paid fairly.”

Whitney Port spoke on City life (living in New York, that is, not specifically about her reality show) and her new fashion line in an interview with Zink magazine.

The publication's stylists fashioned Whitney in the style of Jerry Hall, using Port's own clothes of course. The result was classically glamorous and a little racy.

Naturally, she can pull off both. She should be a model if her designing career doesn't work out! Speaking of her clothing line, Whitney is inspired by the street.

Literally, that is. She takes her camera out every day looking for inspiration for her designs. That will get you a good feel for the customer, that's for sure!

Whitney Port can do no wrong. Well, except date Freddie Fackelmayer. She can do no wrong fashion-wise, let's leave it at that. The girl always looks amazing.

Which of these recent looks suits her best, though?

Below, you can see how she sometimes goes soft and sweet, using a neutral makeup palette. Other nights, she's all about the glamour with bright red lips.

Whitney Eve, a new fashion line from Whitney Port of The City fame, hits boutiques January 30 and features everything from sharply tailored blazers and breezy rainbow-hued blouses to glittery cocktail dresses with sky-high hemlines.

Here's what Whitney told Women's Wear Daily about her line ...

WWD: How does New York differ from L.A. in terms of fashion?

Whitney Port: I think New York fashion is a lot more sophisticated, more forward-thinking. People are more willing to take chances here. People take more pride in clothing they wear and obviously they have to dress for the elements.

WWD: Do you ever see yourself venturing into accessories?

Whitney Port: I would it but I don't know how talented I'd be.

Whitney Eve with Love: Port is ready for her big break.

WWD: You're at People's Revolution five days a week, as we see on The City. How do you have time to work on your own fashion line?

Whitney Port: Actually, I'm in and out of there. I have a design space in there and then I also have my apartment. Kelly [Cutrone] told me, 'This is your passion project, so you do whatever you have to do to get this done'. This is my first priority.

WWD: Other Hills veterans haven't had as much fashion success as they'd hoped. Heidi Montag's line closed quickly after and Lauren Conrad decided to bring hers to Kohl's after not weathering well in the high-end market. Does that concern you?

Whitney Port: I put myself in a different sort of realm as them. Obviously, it's scary. I think it's really hard to break out right now since the fashion industry is struggling. I mean, people don't want to spend their money on clothes right now.

You're always worried about people not understanding your point of view, not being able to get it. But I think my biggest competition is myself.

I feel like lately, or at least since I've known you, it's been really difficult with friends, like you've had a lot of problems with friends.
