Let's all stop and give thanks for Nancy Grace, shall we?

Seriously, without this attention-starved egomaniac, we might not know just how low humanity can sink.

Earlier today, during an appearance on CNN Newsroom with Brooke Baldwin, the blowhard evoked the instances of Anna Nicole Smith and Michael Jackson when talking about Whitney Houston, wondering whether someone else played a role in the singer's death.

"I’d like to know who was around her, who - if anyone - gave her drugs... following alcohol and drugs, and who let her slip, or pushed her, underneath that water?" Grace asked, referring to reports that Whitney's body was found in a hotel room bathtub. "Apparently, no signs of force or trauma to the body. Who let Whitney Houston go under her water?"

Forget the fact that initial reports indicate Houston did NOT die by drowning; and forget the fact that it seems perfectly reasonable someone could overdose on pills and pass out in a bathtub... Grace is on a role, folks!

The earlier reports are true: Whitney Houston will be laid to rest this Saturday in her native city of Newark, New Jersey.

The service will take place at the New Hope Baptist Church, the same locale in which Houston (and cousin Dionne Warwick) sang in the choir as a child. Sources say the family wants to keep this event as private as possible and will limit capacity to no more than 300 guests.

Meanwhile, Newark Mayor Cory Booker has come out and shot down talk of a public memorial, saying of rumors that one would take place later this week:

"The Houston family has no plans to set up a public viewing at the Prudential Center this Friday. In compliance with the family's wishes, the city is not moving forward with any public ceremony."

Across the country, of course, citizens and celebrities continue to celebrate the singer's life in their own ways. LeAnn Rimes, for example, sang a tribute to Whitney last night.

It's not quite up there with the Jennifer Hudson Whitney Houston tribute, but LeAnn Rimes also paid homage to the late icon in concert this weekend.

Rimes played a gig in Reno, Nevada, on Saturday night, just a few hours after Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel room in Los Angeles.

During the show, LeAnn, clearly choked up, took a moment to pay tribute to Houston by singing her #1 hit, "I Will Always Love You," to the crowd.

The song hit an emotional note for LeAnn.

Before the show, Rimes tweeted "Wow, I learned how to do what I do because of 3 great women, one being Whitney. She was always so kind to me."

"This is not gonna be an easy show for sure. I’m just doing what she taught me to do, listening to her over & over as a little girl. Her death is very surreal."

She did her idol justice, don't you think?

Jennifer Hudson still can't believe it. She still can't believe she was selected to honor Whitney Houston at the Grammy Awards Sunday night.

Also, she's still shedding tears over the legendary singer's passing.

"It was the greatest honor of my life to be able to be the one to pay tribute to Whitney's memory," the Oscar winner tells Us Weekly. "It was from my heart. I haven't stopped crying since she passed. Her family is in my prayers."

Houston, a six-time Grammy Award winner, was found dead in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Saturday afternoon, her body submerged in a bathtub. She's believed to have died from a combination of prescription pills and alcohol, while many are now concerned over the state of her 18-year old daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

With Bobbi Kristina Brown out of the hospital, but with family members still concerned over her well-being, Bobby Brown has released his first public statement regarding his 18-year old daughter with Whitney Houston.

"My daughter did visit with doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles," said the singer, seen below touching down in Los Angeles to be there for his child.  "She has been released and is presently with my family, including her siblings."

Bobbi was actually under physician supervision twice this weekend, first on Saturday and then on Sunday, both times in panic over her mom's passing.

"Obviously the death of her mother is affecting her," says Brown. "However we will get through this tragedy as a family."

Meanwhile, President Obama has also chimed in on the sad situation. Describing his boss as an "admirer" of Houston's "immense talent," White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said this afternoon:

“I know that his thoughts and prayers are with her family, especially her daughter. It’s a tragedy to lose somebody so talented at such a young age.”

The body of Whitney Houston is on its way to New Jersey.

Insiders tell TMZ the singer is actually being transported east on Tyler Perry's private jet, as that movie mogul offered up its services as soon as he arrived at the Beverly Hills Hilton on Saturday.

According to NBC New York, meanwhile, a funeral will take place later this week in Newark, where mourners have already gathered, leaving flowers and signs outside the church Houston sang at as a child.

No other details are available at this time, though The Newark Star-Ledger reports Whigham Funeral Home, which has organized services for several of Whitney's family members, will handle the arrangements.

Based on the latest leaks, Houston died inside her hotel room on Saturday as the result of mixing multiple prescription pills with alcohol. Her body, submerged in bathtub water, was discovered by the artist's aunt.

Celine Dion called in to Good Morning America today and had A LOT to say about Whitney Houston, an artist Dion referred to as "an amazing inspiration."

"It's just really unfortunate that drugs, bad people, bad influences took over her dreams, her motherhood," said the singer. "When you think about Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson.. To get into drugs like that for whatever reason - because of stress, bad influence, whatever."

While the official coroner's report won't be available for weeks, sources say Houston died from a mixture of drugs and alcohol. There were bottles of Ibuprofen, Xanax, Midol and Amoxicillin for at the scene.

Whitney, sadly, left behind an 18-year old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, who is suffering terribly without her mother.

And Dion just finds the whole thing tragic, blaming the overall lifestyle of Hollywood a bit for the downfall of this icon.

"What happens when you have everything? Love, support, motherhood... Something happens that I don't understand. That's why I'm scared of show business, of drugs and hanging out. That's why I don't go to parties!"

The official results of an autopsy performed on Whitney Houston yesterday will not be released for weeks.

But sources tell TMZ the family of this legend has been informed by the coroner's office that Houston died from a lethal mixture of prescription pills, most notably Xanax, and alcohol.

As previously confirmed, Houston was found unresponsive in her hotel room bathtub on Saturday afternoon and new reports identity the singer's aunt, Mary Jones, as the individual who found her there and administered CPR on the bathroom floor.

However, officials have told the family Whitney likely died prior to being submerged, as there was not enough water in the artist's lungs to cite drowning as the cause of death.

At last night's Grammy Awards, meanwhile, host LL Cool J led the audience in a prayer for Houston, while Jennifer Hudson later paid emotional tribute to the icon via a rendition of "I Will Always Love You."

We have an update on Bobbi Kristina Brown.

The 18-year old daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, who was rushed to the hospital for two separate anxiety attacks since her mother passed away Saturday afternoon, is no longer under doctor's care.

But her family is still concerned about the teenager's well-being and is considering some kind of professional treatment for her.

Bobbi Kristina Brown and Whitney

In an eerie, frightening report, TMZ quotes insiders who say Bobbi was found asleep in a hotel room bathtub on Friday afternoon, the same position paramedics found Whitney in the following day.

After repeated, unanswered knocks from Bobbi's friends, security arrived, unlocked the door and helped fish the troubled young woman out of the tub.

It's unknown what caused that incident, but family members are, understandably, even more worried about Bobbi's current state of mind and fear she may be suicidal. As they ponder the next best step, Bobby Brown left a concert in Nashville over the weekend and landed in Los Angeles last night to be there for his daughter.

"Obviously the death of her mother is affecting her; however, we will get through this tragedy as a family," the singer said in a statement to Extra. "Again, I ask for privacy during this time.

Sincere prayer on a Hollywood stage? You don't see that every day, but Sunday was not an average day. At the beginning of the 2012 Grammy Awards, host LL Cool J paid tribute to Whitney Houston, who died the previous day at 48.

"There's no way around this," he said, addressing a silent crowd. "We've had a death in our family, and so at least for me, the only thing that feels right is to begin with a prayer for a woman we loved, for our fallen sister, Whitney Houston."

Watch LL Cool J's prayer for Whitney Houston below:

After the NCIS: Los Angeles star finished, a video of Houston singing her hit "I Will Always Love You" played. "Whitney, we will always love you," he continued.

"And we'll remember you the best way we know how – with a song."

Jennifer Hudson's performance of the song honored Houston later in the telecast.

What did you think of LL's prayerful tribute?
