A few weeks ago, word got out that Colin Farrell was in talks to star in True Detective season 2.

Neither Farrell nor HBO has come forward to deny the rumor, so at this point we can pretty much assume it's a done deal.

The only question remaining, then, is who will take on the role of Farrell's inevitably boozy, brooding partner in crime (solving)?

Well, if you guessed Vince Vaughn, then clearly time really is a flat circle and you've been through this before, because that pretty much would've been out last guess.

Sure, Vaughn has taken on dramatic roles in the past (with mixed results), but he's hardly the first name that springs to mind when you think of subject matter as relentlessly dark as True Detective's.

When you're a kid, a shared love of Ninja Turtles is all it takes to forge a lifelong friendship.

Sometimes it seems like it's the same way with celebrities. Stars who have nothing in common other than wealth and fame often form bonds that baffle us plebeians.

Sure, money and power tend to break down a lot of social barriers (Mick Jagger has been knighted by the Queen of England. 'Nuff said.), but even that explanation can't help us wrap our heads around some of the stranger sets of celeb-besties:

Gwyneth Paltrow and Jay Z
Gwyneth claims she's tight with Jay. Right. We're sure they do the most gangsta yoga together.

Some of these pairings aren't so shocking when you consider their backstories (Jonah Hill has a history of stalking his A-list co-stars, so it's no surprise he latched on to Brad Pitt).

Others, we're not sure we totally believe. (Gwyneth Paltrow and Jay Z? Right, keep trying to sell us on that one, Gwinnie.)

Does size really matter? That's the eternal question. Some pack a mighty punch into a small package. Others show their strength by standing more erect than the rest.

We're talking about really tall celebrities here, sheesh. Get your minds out of the gutter!

It's hard to tell who's tall or short on the big screen, as directors, camera angles and other tricks keep up the illusion that everyone in Hollywood is descended from Amazons.

While it's true that there are some very short celebrities out there, it's equally true that some of them are very, very above average, at least when it comes to height.

Take a look at 25 super tall celebrities who aren't even pro athletes!

Khloe Kardashian
Khloe Kardashian's 5'10" height does nothing to dispel the rumors that she's not really Robert Kardashian's daughter since her sisters barely break 5'.

After the house chatter on last night's The Real Housewives of Orange County, I got a little curious this morning - and a little jealous - thinking of the amazing houses our favorite celebrities call home.

Justin Bieber's Calabasas home was so badass Khloe Kardashian bought it. Kimye's $11 million dollar Bel Air mansion will be 14,000 square feet when it's finished.

And then there's Oprah Winfrey's estate, which has its own name: Promised Land.

But not all celebrities live in extravagant and ornately done up dwellings in ultra exclusive neighborhoods.

Naya Rivera, for instance, has a pretty modest home. So does the lovable Taylor Swift.

What about your favorite celebrity? Take a look at these 19 celebrity homes and then tell us which one is your favorite!

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's House
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West purchased this 9,000 square foot Bel Air mansion and then gutted it to renovate and add an additional 5,000 square feet, including a recording studio for Kanye.

What happens when his early-90s reckless seed-sprayin' catches up to the perpetual adolescent known as Vincent Anthony Vaughn?

Not sure yet. But whatever it is, it will be the plot of the movie Delivery Man.

Watch the first Delivery Man trailer, which mostly just introduces the premise:

Vaughn stars as David Wozniak, a man whose sperm donation lead to 500 children, due to a clerical error at the fertility center.

Now, all those kids are looking for their dad. Yikes.

What would you do if you were shrunk down to the size of a nickel and stuck in a blender?

That's apparently a real interview question that Google asks, but  Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn have an interesting answer in this funny new The Internship clip.

Wilson and Vaughn star as Nick and Billy, a pair of out-of-work salesmen who vie for an internship with Google in order to stay relevant in the job market.

Rose Byrne, John Goodman, Aasif Mandvi, Max Minghella, Dylan O'Brien, and B.J. Novak also star, with Shawn levy directing.

The Internship will hit theaters June 7.

Vince Vaughn and Kyla Weber just received an early Christmas present.

Locklyn Kyla Vaughn was born December 18! She weighed 7 pounds!

The healthy baby girl, the couple's first child, was born at a hospital in Chicago, Vaughn's hometown. The actor's rep confirms the good news.

Congratulations to the new parents!

"Both of them couldn't be happier to welcome their baby girl," says a pal of Vaughn and Weber, a Canadian real estate agent and Vince's wife of nearly a year.

When Weber's pregnancy was announced in July, a source close to The Dilemma star said that the newlyweds were thrilled to start a family so quickly.

"They're having so much fun and they're so excited to be first-time parents!"

Anderson Cooper didn't merely call out Vince Vaughn and his upcoming movie The Dilemma last week; he actually succeeded in getting the studio to remove a line from that film's trailer.

The CNN anchor took issue with the use of the word "gay" to describe electric cars in a scene from the comedy, saying "those words [are] unacceptable because those words are hurting kids."

Now, both Vaughn and GLAAD have released statements regarding this flap, as it's still unclear whether or not the quote will remain in the movie itself.

“Let me add my voice of support to the people outraged by the bullying and persecution of people for their differences, whatever those differences may be," said the actor. "Comedy and joking about our differences breaks tension and brings us together. Drawing divided lines over what we can and cannot joke about does exactly that; it divides us. Most importantly, where does it stop.”

Vince Vaughn and Kayla Weber aren't wasting any time.

The Wedding Crashers star and his wife of less than a year, Kayla Weber, are expecting a baby following their wedding in January, a source confirmed Tuesday.

Julie Bowen and Oliver

Last September, Vaughn said after spending years as a bachelor, he was ready for his life to be about other things - like getting married and having a baby!

"It's the first time that I really want to have kids," he said.

A friend of the couple says the two, who have been together several years now, are "thrilled" about the news, and who can blame them? Kids rule.

Congratulations to the expectant couple!
