Tony Romo's Dallas Cowboys are off to a 3-3 start, but there's nothing mediocre about this news: The quarterback's wife, Candice Crawford, is pregnant!

The 31-year-old NFL star dropped the bomb himself this morning.

"I actually have one on the way," Romo said during an anti-drug rally at Cedar Hill High School on Tuesday, according to NBC. "My wife is pregnant."

Romo began dating the 24-year-old in the summer of 2009. A former Miss Missouri USA, she's worked as a Dallas sports, news and fashion reporter.

Candice is also the younger sister of Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford.

Engaged since December, Tony married Candice Crawford this May before a crowd of 600 guests in Dallas. Now they're starting a family. Congrats!

Romo's previous loves include Carrie Underwood, Sophia Bush and, most famously, someone else who's been the subject of baby rumors of late.

While we're still waiting for confirmation that Jessica Simpson is pregnant, her former boyfriend had no reservations about breaking the exciting news.

Tony Romo plays quarterback. But he made the catch of his life yesterday, marrying former Miss Missouri Candice Crawford in a ceremony in Dallas.

Of the nuptials, a source told People: "It was perfect! From the ceremony in beautiful white, to a vibrant after-party and great music selected by Tony himself."

Crawford is a local TV anchor and the sister of Gossip Girl star Chace. She got engaged to Romo in December, following the star's long, widely-publicized relationship with Jessica Simpson.

Over 600 guests attended the wedding, and the couple ought to have plenty of time to honeymoon: there's no end in sight to the NFL lockout.

It's been a crazy few weeks of celebrity breakups, but Tony Romo was unfazed by it. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback got engaged to Candice Crawford!

Romo popped the question while celebrating her 24th birthday on Thursday. Candice Crawford is a sports reporter for KDAF ... the CW station in Dallas.

Appropriately, they first reported the engagement.

Oh, and Candice is the younger sister of Gossip Girl star Chace!

A former Miss Missouri, Candice began dating Tony Romo about a year ago. They've kept a fairly low profile since. She and Chace are Dallas-area natives.

Romo is now the second Jessica Simpson ex to get engaged in the last month. Eric Johnson also put a ring on Jessica Simpson, so she can't feel too awful.

Both watched practice from a private suite. Can the 'Boys succeed amid this media circus? Will Dallas fans throw Candice under the bus if they suck? Will the famed Kardashian title-delivering string of good luck continue? Time will tell.

Rumors are swirling again that Tony Romo and Candice Crawford, who were linked last year, are not just dating again, but ready to walk down the aisle.

Back in December, Candice Crawford was spotted sporting something shiny and diamond-like on her finger, but colleagues shot down engagement rumors.

However, friends close to the Dallas power couple are now saying that Tony and Candice, sister of Gossip Girl star Chace, really are getting that serious.

"Tony's ready to make the next step," a friend of the hunky QB tells E! about the cute former Miss Missouri and current Dallas-area sports journalist.

"They'll move in together," adds the sports (and relationship) insider, "because he's telling friends he's most likely going to pop the question... soon."

Perhaps Tony has learned from past, public courtships with Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson that he should keep things a bit more under wraps.

We applaud that ... as well as his taste in women. Well, looks-wise. Jessica was kinda painful by the end, which was a big reason why he dumped her.

Fox NFL Sunday, the network's weekly pregame show, is not funny.

It's as if the hosts try to offer as little insight as possible, while they sit around and laugh at each other's jokes, which they try to make as unfunny as possible.

Nevertheless, you have to give the football pundits credit for this cartoon spoof from last Sunday, which mocks their own show as well as the Dallas Cowboys.

Head Coach Wade Phillips, quarterback Tony Romo and his ex-girlfriend Jessica Simpson are among those ridiculed, and let's just say Fox was far from subtle.

Of Jessica's weight gain, running back Marion Barber jokes, "I can't believe Tony dated Jessica Simpson, even after she blew up bigger than Flozell Adams!"

Flozell, BT-Dubs, is an tackle for Dallas who tips the scales at 340.

The rumored romance between Candice Crawford, beauty queen and sister of Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford, and Dallas Cowboys star Tony Romo is now confirmed!

Or at least reported by a whole bunch of other sources!

The Chicago Sun-Times, Dallas Morning News, New York Daily News and others are saying that the football star has moved on from Jessica Simpson with Candice.

One could call her a younger, prettier and in all likelihood smarter and less annoying version of the alleged actress and singer he dated for over a year until recently.

Us Weekly even quotes a source as saying Candice Crawford is "not exactly happy that it's out [in the media], but they weren't trying to hide either." Okay then.

"They've gone out to dinner in Dallas a bunch."

Guess that means she's dating Tony Romo!

Candice, 22, was crowned Miss Missouri 2008 (she went to school there), and is a native of Dallas along with Gossip Girl actor Chace, who's pals with Tony Romo.

Talk about mixing business and pleasure, too: She reports on high school sports for Dallas station 33TV and also hosts a weekend Dallas Cowboys sports show.

Looks like she'll be getting the inside scoop in more ways than one from now on, if you know what we mean! NOTE: We don't even know what we mean by that.

According to Celeb TV, the NFL star and quasi-celebrity is now dating Miss Missouri Candice Crawford, the sister of Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford!

While this rumor is unsubstantiated, it could be true because:

• Tony and Chace, a Dallas native, are friends.
• Candice Crawford covers high school sports for Dallas station 33TV and also hosts the weekend Dallas Cowboys sports show Special Edition.
• She totally kind of looks like Jessica Simpson and Carrie Underwood (who, after dating Tony Romo, also dated Chace Crawford). We're sold!

Whether they're dating or not, don't you think Tony Romo and Candace Crawford make a cute pair? She's gotta be less annoying than Jessica, too ...

As we reported yesterday, Tony Romo has been linked to another woman named Natalie Smith almost immediately after he broke up with Jessica Simpson.

But Smith's father is quick to shoot down reports that they're involved.

"His breakup brought all these rumors that are not true," says John Smith, Associate Athletic Director at Romo's alma mater, Eastern Illinois University.

He admits that Tony Romo and Natalie Smith met up for lunch in Dallas last week, but says his entire family – including his wife and three daughters – have "always been friends" with the Cowboys quarterback since he was in college.

"Natalie feels so bad," adds her dad.

"Just being friends with Tony has now disrupted everyone [from] talking about Tony and football and are instead talking about Tony and all of this."

With reports about his love life like this surfacing regularly, the newly-single (or not) Dallas Cowboys quarterback is set to report to training camp this week.

"What is funny about all this is that if Tony hadn't broken up with Jessica, nothing would ever have been written about him having lunch with Natalie," adds her dad.

Simpson, meanwhile, has started hitting the town in Los Angeles after keeping a low profile for the first few weeks after getting dumped and locked out by Romo.

She joined a large group of friends and family – including her parents Joe and Tina – at Katana's Red Sun BBQ on July 26 for a belated birthday celebration.

The next day, the singer arrived at West Hollywood's House of Pascal Mouawad for a CD release party for Candy Shop by An-Ya, an artist on her dad's label.

"She was in high spirits, joking, laughing, meeting people," says a Jessica Simpson source. "You wouldn't even know she was upset about a breakup."

But was the Dallas Cowboys quarterback hitting another receiver deep (if you know what we mean) prior to that? That's what new reports are insinuating.

Jessica Simpson exuberantly announced "the man who loves [her]" was at a February 6 concert - seemingly not concerned about Tony Romo was sitting with Natalie Smith, a younger, skinnier look-alike of the alleged singer and actress.

And that's not all. According to Us, Tony Romo had been sending "flirty texts" to Natalie Smith for months while still putting up with Jessica Simpson.

After the show, Tony Romo introduced Simpson to Smith, 22, the daughter of the athletic director at Romo's alma mater, Eastern Illinois University.

"We hung out for, like 10 to 15 minutes, backstage," said Natalie Smith (pictured above) according to the celebrity gossip tabloid. "She was cool and nice."

But multiple sources says Simpson should have been suspicious, as Romo had an "emotional affair" with Natalie Smith months before dumping Jessica.

"They are not officially dating, but are having an intimate relationship," a Smith source says. Adds another pal of Smith, who typically dined with Romo when he'd visit his college town: "They've always flirted and texted each other."

"They had phone conversations one to two months before the breakup."

It gets better. While Simpson is a "wreck" over the news, Natalie Smith is supposedly "determined not to become clingy like Jessica." Good call, Nat!
