Tina Fey returned to Saturday Night Live last night for its season opener, and to the surprise of no one, stole the show at her old NBC stomping grounds.

"How am I going to demand the best table at subway if I don't have a TV show?" Fey deadpanned of her SNL encore during a classic opening monologue.

In addition to poking fun at the Tina Fey nipple slip from the Emmys, the opening routine also channeled Miley Cyrus Twerking and much more. Watch:

On an episode that featured an Aaron Paul cameo and six new cast members, the star of the show was still Fey, who was a fixture on SNL for nine years.

The comedienne took on the HBO show Girls, joining the core four as Blerta, the girl from Albania with a rubber hand and OCD (Old Cow Disease):

As expected, Tina Fey is embracing her Emmy Awards wardrobe malfunction.

Millions watching Sunday's broadcast saw the now-infamous Tina Fey nipple slip, as her blue Narciso Rodriguez dress revealed just a little too much.

You didn't expect her to care, did you? Or to pass up a chance to mock it?

In the SNL promo below, she shows that she knows how to take a joke, and that she's deserving of the Emmys' Best Comedy Writing trophy. Take a look:

It's unclear if we'll actually see Tina Fey topless during her upcoming hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, but the gag certainly played well in the promo.

Saturday Night Live alum Tina Fey returned to reprise her role as Sarah Palin in a debate sketch of potential Republican presidential candidates this weekend.

Introduced as "current famous person Sarah Palin," Fey wasted no time launching into her pitch-perfect impression of the '08 GOP vice presidential nominee.

"It's so nice to be back on FOX News, a network that both pays me and shows me the questions ahead of time," Fey gushed as Palin. "I just hope tonight the lamestream media won't twist my words by repeating them verbatim."

Tina Fey and Darrell Hammond

These two make an unbeatable political team. The actors, that is.

"First, I want to acknowledge that we have finally vanquished one of the world's great villains. I for one am thrilled to say good riddance to Katie Couric!" she added.

SNL may fall flat much of the time, but political sketches like this have always been - and remain - must-watch material. Having Tina as host doesn't hurt.

While Fey was terrific, Bill Hader (as Fox News' Shepard Smith) and Darrell Hammond (reprising his role as Donald Trump) really stole the show here.

Saturday Night Live will close out a successful season (if only for its parodies of the Kardashian sisters alone) with a set of hilarious hosts and impressive musical guests.

The schedule includes:

  • May 7: Tina Fey/Ellie Goulding
  • May 14: Ed Helms/Paul Simon
  • May 21: Justin Timberlake/Lady Gaga
  • Ed Helms Pic
  • JT in the Hizzy

Fey will actually be pregnant during her stint; Helms will be promoting The Hangover 2; and Timberlake? He'll just be dreamy and hysterical.

Barack Obama wasn't a big fan of Sarah Palin's uninformed criticism of his nuclear arms treaty with Russia this week.

But at least the President, along with all rational human beings, can take solace in Palin's existence for one reason only: it's enabled Tina Fey to deliver the best satire television has seen in years.

The actress was at it again last night, impersonating the former Alaskan Governor (and current professional, paid speaker of BS) on Saturday Night Live. Fey introduced viewers to The Sarah Palin Network, which is comprised of the following programs:

  • Are You Smarter Than a Half-term Governor?
  • Tea Party Wheel of Fortune (Example of a puzzle: Obama is a Terrist)
  • Hey, Journalist, I Gotcha! (Where "I re-edit my interviews with journalists to make it look like they were the ones that were woefully unprepared.")
  • Man in a Helicopter with a Sniper Rifle vs. Wild

It takes a lot to upstage Justin Bieber on the show, but Fey did it with this great skit. Watch below.
