"I want to make sure she’s holding on to that Sarah outfit. Because she’s gonna need it in the next four years." - Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, offering "a little advice to Tina Fey" at a recent campaign rally in Columbus, Ohio.

Those be fightin' words!

Palin Protesters

Apparently confident of her chances of being elected Vice President of the United States tomorrow, the Republican contender told her now-infamous Saturday Night Live impersonator not to put away those rimless glasses and updo just yet.

She could have four more years of material, in other words.

Tina Fey, who was chief writer of SNL before leaving to star in 30 Rock, but has become a frequent SNL guest star this fall, had said that she hopes to "retire" her Sarah Palin impersonation for good this month. If you know what she means.

She means she hopes John McCain and Sarah Palin go down. Whether she gets her wish remains to be seen, but the future of late-night comedy depends on it.

With the presidential election just days away, Republican candidate John McCain drew laughs – often at his own expense – on Saturday Night Live last night.

In response to Barack Obama's purchase of airtime on several major networks on Wednesday night, McCain lamented that he could only afford airtime on QVC.

"I'm a true Maverick: a Republican without money!" the Arizona Senator joked that, "My only showbiz connections are Jon Voight and Heidi from The Hills."

By his side were wife Cindy McCain, who lent a hand selling "McCain Fine Gold Jewelry," and his running mate Sarah Palin ... a.k.a. SNL alum Tina Fey.

Here's the opening Saturday Night Live sketch ...

Tina Fey says Sarah Palin offered to have 17-year-old Bristol Palin babysit Fey's three-year-old daughter Alice on filming Saturday Night Live two weeks ago.

"Gov. Palin was like, 'Oh, did Alice go home? Oh, 'cause Bristol woulda' babysat.' She offered Bristol Palin to babysit Alice," Fey told Conan O'Brien Tuesday.

"And it was Bristol's birthday, too," Fey said.

"I was like yeah, that's exactly what 17-year-old Bristol Palin wants to do at Saturday Night Live... babysit the toddler of the lady that gooks on her mom."

Tina Fey's impressions of the Republican V.P. candidate have been a highlight of the campaign season. Check then out in our library of Sarah Palin videos (real and Tina's)!

Last night on Saturday Night Live's special Thursday election edition, President George W. Bush (Will Ferrell) finally gave his coveted endorsement to John McCain (Darrell Hammond) and especially to his running mate Sarah Palin (Tina Fey)...

Saturday Night Live's Tina Fey appears as Alaska Governor and Republican V.P. candidate Sarah Palin at another faux press conference ... while the real Sarah Palin appears back stage, critiquing the skit with the show's producer, Lorne Michaels.

Things get awkward when Alec Baldwin - believing Palin to be his 30 Rock co-star Fey - tries to persuade Lorne not to have Tina portray "that woman" anymore. In the midst of it all, Mark Wahlberg shows up looking for Andy Samberg!

For a month, the laugh has been on Sarah Palin. The way certain polls look, after a few more weeks, such attention may never be focused on her again.

But if nothing else, she'll get her chance to turn the tables on Saturday Night Live - whose impressions of her have been comedic gold - this weekend.

The Alaska Governor and Republican V.P. candidate – and Tina Fey alter ego – will appear on Saturday Night Live with guest host Josh Brolin.

It is still unclear what Palin will do on the comedy show: Will she team up with Brolin’s spot-on impersonation of George W. Bush, as showcased in the actor's new film, W., or will she try to skewer Fey somehow, which has also been rumored?

If she does take on Tina, it wouldn't be the first time. Palin supposedly once went as Fey for Halloween. Chimed in husband Todd Palin in an interview with his wife: “She’s been impersonating Tina Fey longer than Tina Fey’s been doing Sarah Palin."

Think Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin wants to get back at Tina Fey for her three (and counting, hopefully) Saturday Night Live impersonations? You betcha!

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Republican Vice Presidential hopeful is weighing the possibility of appearing on Saturday Night Live to skewer Fey, who's played her on three straight episodes, including last Saturday in a faux V.P. debate.

Specifically, a spoof of Fey's American Express commercials is in the works, as a segment airing during the show's "Weekend Update" news broadcast.

You Betcha

Tina Fey's impressions of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live are instant classics.

Some John McCain campaign advisers want Sarah Palin to leave well enough alone, to keep joking about it on the campaign trail and let that be that.

Others want her to respond in kind. We just hope the hockey mom doesn't listen to the mainstream media and puts the interests of Joe Six Pack first.

John McCain appeared in two Saturday Night Live segments last spring, as did several other prominent GOP candidates. Democratic Sen. Barack Obama, McCain's rival for the presidency, played himself in a Halloween skit last fall.

Tina Fey is the funniest woman alive.

Back to her former show for the third straight week as GOP Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, she opened Saturday Night Live with a debate against Jason Sudeikis, who portrayed Democratic nominee Joe Biden (and wasn't bad himself).

Queen Latifah also guest starred as moderator Gwen Ifill.

The faux V.P. debate - the latest Sarah Palin sketch in what is becoming SNL's best political parody ever - features more funny lines from Tina Fey than we can count.

We highly recommend watching the 10-minute exchange below:

"I believe marriage is a sacred institution between two unwilling teenagers."

Last week's Saturday Night Live opening sketch - which featured Tina Fey as Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Amy Poehler as former First Lady Hillary Clinton - was such a hit that Fey reprised her hilarious impersonation last night.

It doesn't hurt that Palin provides so much material. As Tina herself said after last week, she hopes to never portray this character ever again after November. But we're grateful for the funny cameos on her former show in the meantime.

This time, CBS News' Katie Couric (Poehler) sits down with the Republican V.P. candidate. You would not believe some of the things Sarah Palin had to say about New Yorkers, her visit to the U.N., her plans for foreign affairs and more. Check it out ...
