Tiger Woods' alleged affairs with two different women look to have played a role in his now-infamous car crash last week, and the evidence continues to pile up.

A few minutes ago, the golf legend posted a new statement on his official site regarding the scandal that continues to dog him and his wife, Elin Nordegren.

While he doesn't mention Jaimee Grubbs or Rachel Uchitel by name, or even admit affairs, the writing is on the wall. He also rips the media and pleas for privacy.

Tiger Woods writes:

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves."

"I am not without faults and am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior behind closed doors. Those feelings should be shared by my family alone."

"Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a pro athlete, I am dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny means."

"For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect."

"No matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy."

"I realize there are some who don't share my view on that issue. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one's own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions."

"Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it's difficult."

"I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology."

What do you think of Tiger Woods' apology statement?

A voicemail allegedly left by Tiger Woods for Jaimee Grubbs, who claims to be his mistress, has just been released by Us Weekly, and it sure sounds like him.

Last Tuesday, November 24, Woods supposedly phoned Grubbs and left a message begging her to change her voicemail to a number-only greeting. He said:

"Hey, it's Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you."

"So if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number ... on the voicemail. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye."

Tiger Woods' apparent plea to Jaimee Grubbs is telling.

Yesterday, Jaimee Grubbs came forward with details of her long affair with Tiger, one that started in April 2007 and presumably ended with this voicemail.

Tiger' personal life has come under scrutiny ever since he wrecked his car early Friday morning after what looks like a big-time fight with wife Elin Woods.

Reports of his infidelity surfaced last week, but originally centered around Rachel Uchitel, who denied an affair with Woods. J-Grubbs? Well, she sold this tape.

Could his affair with Jaimee be what sent Elin through the roof? Very possible. Follow the jump to hear Tiger's voicemail to Jaimee Grubbs:

You know what they say. If there's no video to supplement the story you're reporting on, make up your own via high-tech computer animated graphics!

A Chinese news station did just that with the Tiger Woods saga, reenacting what happened (or at least what many think happened) Friday morning.

Skip ahead to the 55-second mark and see Elin Nordegren go off on Tiger over his alleged affair with Rachel Uchitel, causing him to flee his house.

The scorned spouse chased after the athlete with a golf club, whacking away at his Cadillac SUV, he got distracted and the rest is very-recent history ...

The only thing this video lacks is a simulated Jaimee Grubbs coming forward and looking for her 15 minutes of fame. Maybe that'll be in Part II.

The criminal chapter of the Tiger Woods saga has ended, with the golfer being fined for careless driving, but no domestic abuse charges filed against Elin Nordegren.

In a much-less-interesting but more appropriate manner than the celebrity gossip public might have hoped for, Woods was cited for careless driving and fined $164.

Elin Nordegren's New House

That's it.

The matter of whether Tiger slept with Jaimee Grubbs and/or Rachel Uchitel remains, but as far as criminal charges go, you can consider the Woods case closed.

"The investigation has determined that Mr. Woods is at fault in the crash," Maj. Cindy Williams of the Florida Highway Patrol said at a press conference Tuesday.

Elin and Tiger Woods are officially out of the ... police blotter.

Tiger's careless driving violation carries the aforementioned fine and four points on Woods' driving record. Not had for hitting a fire hydrant and his neighbor's tree.

More significantly, the FHP will not be pursuing criminal charges after an investigation of Elin Woods provided "insufficient evidence" of domestic abuse on Tiger.

Williams noted that contrary to previous reports, investigators had no reason to issue a subpoena for any medical information that might exist from the incident.

While reports of Elin roughing up Tiger and chasing him out of the house, prompting his car crash, no claims of domestic violence from either Woods were made.

With no testimony or hard proof, it is hard to make a case.

Looks like Tiger Woods has more than Rachel Uchitel rumors to worry about.

Us Weekly is reportedly planning to release a bombshell cover story about Jaimee Grubbs, a woman who claims she had a 31-month affair with Tiger.

Grubbs says she has voicemails and text messages to prove this.

The woman claims she met Tiger in Las Vegas in April, 2007. A 21-year-old waitress at the time, she says she and Woods began a long-running affair.

According to Us, Jaimee Grubbs has more than 300 texts from Tiger, who wed Elin Nordegren in 2004, and whose personal life is now under scrutiny.

Was Tiger Woods having an affair with Jaimee Grubbs?

His wife is being investigated by police for possibly abusing Tiger - allegedly over reports that he slept with Rachel Uchitel. She's not gonna like this!

The magazine, due out tomorrow, claims Grubbs had 20 sexual encounters with Tiger, and will include "photos, racy texts from Tiger, as well as a voicemail from November 24, in which Tiger suggests his wife might be on to the alleged affair."

It's still very possible this is all bogus, but you have to wonder. Could Woods be the latest seemingly squeaky-clean celebrity living a double life here?

Jaimee Grubbs has appeared recently on VH1's Tool Academy. If it's true she was tooling around with Tiger Woods, well, she better watch her back.

Elin can go pretty crazy wielding a golf club, after all.

Police suspect Tiger Woods' car accident Friday morning may have stemmed from domestic violence he suffered at the hands of his wife, Elin Nordegren.

Circumstantial evidence certainly suggests that she flipped out on Tiger, although legally proving that could be challenging for local law enforcement.

Investigators have made one hard conclusion in their case: That not a single drop of blood from Tiger Woods was found on the Cadillac SUV he crashed.

Cops observed Tiger's lower lip split open and noted other facial lacerations after the wreck. But with no blood in the car, how did he really hurt himself?

Also, Elin Nordegren told them she smashed the back window with the golf club to drag Tiger, who was in an out of consciousness, to safety. Yet no blood.

This, combined with the fact that Woods has stymied three different requests for an interview, has understandably created more suspicion from the police.

As for why Elin supposedly freaked, Tiger is rumored to have gotten into a nuclear blowout with Elin over a report that he had affair with Rachel Uchitel.

Did Tiger Woods' wife freak out on him because of an affair he had with Rachel Uchitel? Or at least false rumors of an affair? That's what police (and we) want to know.

Whether he did is unclear (Tiger has not commented and Rachel has vehemently denied an affair it took place), but all signs point to an argument with Elin.

In any case, if they want to get to the bottom of it, police may be SOL. Surveillance video from Tiger's property isn't being made available by his lawyer.

The Florida Highway Patrol sent troopers to the hospital where Tiger was treated to secure his medical records, but so far, that hasn't yielded anything.

The main focus of the investigation is Tiger's injuries - if they indicate he really was attacked by Elin Woods, she would almost certainly be arrested.

But if Tiger can stall investigators until his face heals, and medical records don't show anything conclusive or can't be obtained, Elin could be in the clear.

This may very well be Tiger's intent.

As for Tiger, police are looking at whether he was driving under the influence of painkillers when he crashed. Proving that may be even more difficult.

In Florida, it's almost impossible to charge someone with DUI unless someone actually sees the suspect inebriated behind the wheel, which no one did.

Rachel Uchitel, NYC nightclub manager, is accused of having an affair with Tiger Woods. Mistress of the golfer or not, it's not the first such allegation she's faced.

She has previously rumored to have romanced David Boreanaz, while her mom told pals Rachel dated both Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez of the N.Y. Yankees.

Sweet Rachel

To use one of our favorite Office Space quotes, she gets around - like a record! - when it comes to celebs. Or even David Boreanaz for that matter. Crazy chick.

In 2004, Uchitel married Wall Street trader Steven Ehrenkranz, but split after four months. She was also engaged to Andy O'Grady, who died in the 9/11 attacks.

Tragic as that event surely was for Rachel Uchitel, did it start a pattern that ultimately led her to an affair with Tiger Woods, among other married celebrities?

The National Enquirer dropped the bomb late last week that she first became Tiger Woods' mistress in June after meeting him at Manhattan's Griffin nightclub.

Rachel Uchitel denies her affair with Woods took place, stating: "I did not have an affair with Tiger Woods. I met him twice and have not heard from him since."

Tiger Woods' alleged mistress with her high-powered lawyer.

As for reports that their alleged affair prompted an attack by Elin Woods and Tiger's subsequent car crash Friday, Uchitel again denied any role in the incident.

"I don't understand why anyone would think this is anything to do with me," she said, though she is so "overwhelmed" that she hired attorney Gloria Allred.

Woods hasn't addressed the affair. In a statement on his website, he said he alone is responsible for the crash, but did not explain what happened prior to it.

Police are clearly suspicious about the crash, in which Tiger Woods hit a hydrant and his neighbor's tree after leaving his house at 2:25 a.m. Friday morning.

It has been theorized that Elin reacted to rumors of Tiger cheating on her and lost her $h!t, prompting his (failed) getaway from his Islesworth, Fla., estate.

What do you think? Is Rachel Uchitel Tiger Woods' mistress? Or did his wife simply go off on him based on a false rumor? Leave a comment with your view!

The Florida Highway Patrol is trying to secure a search warrant for medical records of Tiger Woods to determine if the wounds the golf great sustained early Friday morning are consistent with a car accident or domestic violence.

Authorities believe they can show probable cause a crime was committed, a necessary step in obtaining a warrant to search the hospital that treated him.

That probable cause is fueled by contradictory stories from Elin Nordegren Woods, Tiger's wife, who told the FHP she went looking for Tiger in a golf cart.

She said when she found him, she broke his window with a club to rescue him.

But right after the accident, she told Windemere, Fla., police nothing about a cart. None of the pics of the Tiger Woods car accident show a cart nearby.

Moreover, the idea that she had to smash windows in to free Tiger, who crashed his car at such a speed that his airbags didn't even go off, is dubious.

The police are also trying to sort out whether Tiger was in fact taking prescription medication for pain at the time, which could be evidence of DUI.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, but it doesn't have to be.

The Highway Patrol is pursuing the warrant after getting shut down three times in an attempt to interview Tiger and Elin and view Tiger's wounds.

According to sources, Tiger told a friend his wife attacked him over allegations of cheating (his alleged mistress is serial adulterer Rachel Uchitel).

Tiger supposedly said Elin chased him out of the house, striking his car with a golf club, distracting him and causing him to careen into a tree (below).

Woods released a statement last night in which he claimed full, sole responsibility for the crash, but did not elaborate on the events leading up to it.

Meanwhile, he has stymied investigators' attempts to interview him. If the FHP thinks Elin attacked Tiger, she may be arrested for domestic violence.

Tiger Car Crash

He continues to turn away police investigators, but Tiger Woods issued a statement on his website today about his "embarrassing" car crash early Friday morning.

As you might expect, Tiger's statement failed to clear up any questions about the scrutinized, bizarre, middle-of-the-night accident outside his Florida estate.

Derek Lowe Mug Shot

“This situation is my fault, and it’s embarrassing to my family and me,” Woods said. “I’m human and I’m not perfect. I will make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

“Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.”

"My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.”

“The only person responsible for the accident is me."

Were Elin Woods (left) and Rachel Uchitel also responsible for Tiger's crash?

The statement came today after Woods’ attorney told the Florida Highway Patrol that for the third straight day Tiger would be unavailable to talk to state troopers.

The meeting was not rescheduled.

Woods concluded his statement by saying the car crash was a private matter, and he intended to keep it that way. Left unanswered were the following questions:

  • What he was going leaving his home at that time of the night, and how did he lose control of his SUV at such a speed that its airbags didn’t deploy?
  • Why would Tiger's wife smash the back windows of his Cadillac Escalade to free him, as she told the cops, if all the SUV's doors were functional?
  • If it was a careless mistake, as Woods' statement suggests, why not speak to police - and why was he talking the next day about a Kobe special?
  • If his facial injuries were caused by the crash, why was there no blood in the car? Were the cuts actually sustained during a fight with Elin Woods?
  • Can it really be a coincidence that the suspicious crash happened immediately after tabloid reports linked Tiger Woods to mistress Rachel Uchitel?

Authorities have released the tape of the 911 call made after Tiger Woods' car accident, in which he crashed into a fire hydrant and tree, early Friday.

The male caller can be heard telling dispatchers, "I need an ambulance immediately, I have someone down outside my house ... It's a car accident."

He added: "My neighbor, he hit the tree. I see him and he's laying down." When the dispatcher asked if the person was unconscious, he said, "Yes."

Tiger's car crash occurred at 2:20 a.m. Friday. Woods has not told his side of the story yet. Listen to the audio of the Tiger Woods 911 call below ...

His wife, Elin Woods, was originally reported to have dialed 911 after the accident, but this recording from the golfer's obviously worried neighbor, whose tree Tiger Woods crashed into, is now believed to have placed the only 911 call.

Police still don't know why Tiger was trying to leave his house in haste at that time of night, but the prevailing theory is that he got into an ugly altercation with Elin over allegations that he had an affair with mistress Rachel Uchitel.

Story still developing ...
