Tiger Woods on Good Morning America: A New Season, A New Life

This is not the Tiger Woods of old. Or even of 2009.

On Thanksgiving night that year, his personal life erupted in scandal. The damage to his family and his golf game took pretty much all of 2010 to play out.

As he looks to turn over a new leaf on and off the course this year, Woods talked about his career, kids and quest for balance on Good Morning America:

In the interview, which was more subdued and serious than his chat with Jimmy Fallon, the golfer talked about how he's adjusting to life as a single dad.

"I'm present with my kids," he said. "That's important, because to be with them each and every time I'm with them, to feel that and be connected to them and to see their joys on their faces ... it's work, there's no doubt. It's tough but enjoyable."

Woods and Elin Nordegren divorced last summer. Think he'll be able to leave the past behind him and forge a new chapter in his life this year?

Jimmy Fallon to Tiger Woods: Thank You!!!

Tiger Woods made a rare television appearance last night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon - the golfer's first such interview since the late 2009 "incident."

We don't have to get into Rachel Uchitel, the car crash and everything else. Fallon started off asking Woods what he's been up to the last year and a half.

"Oh, nothing, nothing... Playing bad golf," the champion said, smiling.

"From a comedian's stand-point and my monologue writers, thank you," Fallon said, speaking for all of us. "Your awful pain, we laughed at your pain."

Even Tiger had to chuckle when Fallon added: "Not even making jokes, it kind of wrote itself. Balls, shaft, holes, foursomes ... it really writes itself!"

Woods had a fairly good time after that, talking about his charitable foundation, his recent top-10 finish and his bachelor pad/backyard golf course.

Later, Woods, Fallon and Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler demonstrated Tiger's new golf video game (ostensibly his reason for being there).

Tiger Woods Fined For Green-Spitting Incident

Tiger Woods has been living under a microscope ever since his Thanksgiving night car crash in 2009 brought his many salacious affairs to light.

Things haven't gone well for him on the golf course since, and last weekend in Dubai, his struggles went beyond a mediocre tie for 20th place.

The golfer spit on the 12th green after missing a par putt during Sunday's final round of the Dubai Desert Classic and incurred a fine. Watch:

"The Euro Tour is right – it was inconsiderate to spit like that and I know better. Just wasn't thinking and want to say I'm sorry," he Tweeted.

Infractions such as this bring charges between $400 and $16,000. Of course, Woods earned $3 million for merely showing up to play in Dubai.

Tiger Woods to Host Charity Concert

Tiger Woods' charity concert is back on the calendar.

The golfer says his "2011 Tiger Jam" will be April 30 at Mandalay Bay Events Center, featuring Grammy Award-winning singers Keith Urban and John Mayer.

The concert, benefitting the Tiger Woods Foundation, was not held last year, after "organizers could not coordinate the schedules of artists and the venue."

I Am Tiger Woods

Hopefully 2011 means more smiles from Tiger.

There was also the small matter of the Rachel Uchitel / Jaimee Grubbs / Joslyn James / Devon James / Loredana Jolie unraveling around this time last year.

Glad the event is back on in any case. "Tiger Jam" has raised more than $12 million for his foundation in the past and he is excited to continue the tradition.

We have a hunch Elin Nordegren won't be on hand.

THG Presents: The Year in Videos

What a wild year it's been. From hit songs to LOL moments, meltdowns and bombshell scandals, some videos won't be forgotten anytime soon.

As 2010 draws to a close tonight, here are some of the videos that defined the year in Hollywood news, entertainment and celebrity gossip ...

Tiger Woods apologizes: In the wake of his shocking sex scandal, Tiger came clean with a marathon, extremely stiff media mea culpa.

Happy Birthday, Tiger Woods!

What a year for Tiger Woods.

The greatest golfer of all time lost his #1 ranking, Elin Nordegren and the respect of tens of millions of fans. But if there's one thing America loves more than sordid sex scandals and epic falls from grace, it's a tale of redemption.

So on his 35th birthday, here's hoping Woods gives us reason to cheer in 2011. With time, we can forgive "transgressions" as long as people are sincere.

He's suffered long enough. We want to see Tiges back on top... and we don't mean with Rachel Uchitel. Happy birthday and go get 'em, big guy. Go get 'em ...

Donald Trump Strives to Reunite Rachel Uchitel, Tiger Woods on New Year's

Will Rachel Uchitel and Tiger Woods reunite at Donald Trump's New Year's bash next weekend? Stranger things have happened ... well, presumably.

The world's top golfer and his top mistress have both been invited to The Donald's annual New Year's Eve bash at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

Rachel and Friend

If Trump is serious about running for president, he could certainly show his powers of unification and bringing different parties together with this ...

THE UNITER: Trump would love to have Tigitel on hand.

As for the oft-maligned Woods, with whom he is acquainted, Donald says "I did invite him. I'm the only guy who has tried to defend him this year."

Rachel Uchitel, as usual, is more complicated. She was reportedly on board for the cast of Celebrity Apprentice this year until DT pulled the plug.

As far as New Year's, has a "blind date" with a guy in the New York fashion industry whom Donald invited, and Rachel is coming as the plus one.

Donald says there's no hard feelings and that "she's absolutely welcome." No word if he also plans on inviting Rex Ryan's wife as a publicity stunt.

Tiger Woods Scandal: The Top Sports Story of '10

The truly unparalleled Tiger Woods scandal and his humbling, less than stellar return to golf was named the top sports story of 2010 by the AP.

He should share the honor with Rachel Uchitel.

Tiger Woods Playing Golf

The fallout from Woods' admission of infidelity was something no one could have expected - a deluge of mistresses, a split from Elin Nordegren and perhaps most surprisingly, a winless season on the golf course for the first time.

The Tiger Woods scandal made 2010 a year like no other.

It was Thanksgiving 2009 when Woods' pristine image unraveled after he crashed his SUV into a tree, unleashing salacious revelations of his double life.

Will 2011 be the year his return to prominence is the top story? That would be a comeback for the ages, and at this point, we're sort of pulling for it.

He made for great celebrity gossip, but at the end of the day, he's paid a heavy price for his "transgressions." It'd be nice to see Tiger back on top.

Elin Nordegren and Kids to Leave Country, Tiger Woods Feeling Blue For the Holidays

Looks like Tiger Woods has more to be sad about than reports of Elin Nordegren's new boyfriend, a rumored South African hunk who "could be the one."

Sources say she was kissing this fella in a school parking lot.

Elin and Charlie Woods

The validity of that rumor is disputed, as his name hasn't even been unearthed yet. But Nordegren kissing Tiger goodbye for the holidays? Factual.

SPLITTING TIME: That's life for Tiger going forward.

Elin Nordegren is taking the couple's two kids, Sam and Charlie, off to Sweden over the Christmas holidays, leaving the golf great all alone in Florida.

The blonde beauty and the kids will first visit London to visit her sister Josefin, then head to Sweden to spend time with her family. Tiger? Not invited.

"Elin negotiated a deal with Tiger to let him have the kids over Thanksgiving, if she could have them for Christmas," a source close to the pair said.

Devon James Still Lying About Tiger Woods, Says Golfer Paid Her to Take Down Sex Tape

The sleazy, relatively unattractive porn star selling a purported sex tape of herself and Tiger Woods claims the golf superstar paid her not to release it.

THAT is why she's shutting down her website, which had been selling the alleged tape ... not because it actually features a Tiger look-alike or anything.

Devon James claims she had an affair with Woods - and frankly, who hasn't - but the Tiger sex tape and love child she alleges she has are clear fakes.

D. JamesStoic Tiger

Devon James has no shame. Or morals, or money.

"Our settlement is done so we're not releasing a tape," Devon James' husband Nick said, claiming the couple received a settlement from Woods' camp.

But come on. Obviously there is no settlement.

Even Radar Online, which will report that Rielle Hunter wants to marry John Edwards less than a day after his wife dies, says the story is pure fiction.
