T.I. is a 27-year-old rapper. We are talking about T.I., of course, because he was arrested in October 2007 on gun charges. Somehow we...

Rick Ross and Young Jeezy's long-festering feud has come to an end, thanks to the negotiating skills of fellow rapper T.I., who brokered a peace treaty.

The rappers' feud goes a long way back, but is most notable for the nuclear fight that broke out at the BET Hip Hop Awards two years ago (above).

They mixed it up backstage with their crews and shots were fired in the parking lot during the Rick Ross-Young Jeezy fight. No one was killed, thankfully.

Those days are ancient history now, in any case, and T.I. is responsible.

Their fellow rapper, who knows a thing or two about running afoul with the law himself, had a heart-to-heart with Jeezy and got him to see the light.

T.I.'s point was that focusing on bad blood rather than makin' bank is a waste of time and energy, plus it may even get you injured or killed. Smart man.

Robin Thicke, Pharrell and T.I. are suing Marvin Gaye's family and Bridgeport Records, insisting that their summer smash "Blurred Lines" is an original hit.

That's right ... the artist accused of ripping off an earlier work is the one suing, not the reverse, leading some to believe it's all part of a big PR effort.

The trio's omnipresent single has, in recent months, been accused of being a takeoff on Marvin Gaye's "Got To Give It Up" and/or Funkadelic's "Sexy Ways."

There has not been a whole lot made of this, though, which makes the lawsuit by Thicke, Pharrell and T.I. over "multiple adverse claims" seem dubious.

T.I. is speaking out about his friend Lil Wayne and BLASTING celebrity news site TMZ for misreporting the severity of his seizures - allegedly.

The rapper told his followers on Twitter that he had personally called to check on him, and also gave the following interview about the Weezy situation:

TMZ reported last night that Lil Wayne was in critical condition after a sizzurp binge, was placed into an induced coma and being read "his last rites."

They have since removed the last rites bit from their article, but have not retracted or clarified any other details surrounding the allegedly dire situation.

T.I. had kind words for Chris Brown and Rihanna in a recent interview, but also said he would not let his daughter date anyone like the controversial star.

On whether he would let his daughter, Deyjah, 12, date someone like Chris, he said: “Absolutely not, ever, but when my daughter’s grown, what can I say?”

On Chris Brown and Rihanna’s recent reunion, the rapper added, “I think that’s their decision. I know they have a lot of genuine love for one another."

"I don’t think that either of them would leave the other, go somewhere or with someone else, and find someone that would make them nearly as happy.”

The judge overseeing T.I's probation case is so impressed with his behavior, he said hey man, you can have whatever you like ... okay not really, but he did ease some of the restrictions on the troubled rapper as a reward.

T.I.'s probation officer submitted the request to extend the rapper's out-of-state travel allowance from seven to 12 days, and the judge signed off.

T.I.: The model of law-abiding professionalism.

According to the officer, T.I. has been a model probationer, on his best behavior for months and completing his drug/alcohol counseling program early.

T.I. still has approximately five months left of supervised release after spending several months behind bars for a probation violation last year.

He was released into a halfway house in September.

His probation stems from his 2009 gun conviction, for which he served one year and one day, but with strict probation for several more years.

Remember Tracy Morgan's homophobic rant earlier this year? No?

Well T.I. does, and he thinks it was hilarious! The rapper brought the scandal back to life when he told Vibe that Morgan's anti-gay jokes were the funniest of all time.

The comments have Morgan toeing a fine line between staying under the radar and distancing himself from T.I., who's reveled in "the funniest jokes I ever heard."

T.I. then ignited even more controversy. Not only does he find the anti-gay humor funny, he suggested that the backlash against Morgan's stand-up is un-American.

"They're like, 'If you have an opinion against us, we're gonna shut you down,'" T.I. told Vibe. "That's not American. If you're gay you should have the right to be gay in peace."

"If you're against it, you should also have the right to be against it in peace."

The rapper, who was recently freed from jail, later walked that last part back somewhat, saying that gays are not anti-American, but the actions of a select few are.

“I believe you have the right to do whatever you want to do as long as you're not hurting anyone. I was quoted correctly, but I was taken out of context,” he said.

He says the U.S.A. is an "institution built around allowing us to speak peacefully and respectfully in opposition of any point or any topic that comes up,” T.I. added.

He went on to add that he's not even against same-sex marriage, and that members of the African-American community acts in the same, oversensitive way as well.

Fair enough, but is what Morgan said, which was borderline hateful, really peaceful or respectful? And would T.I. react the same way to N-word-laden rants? Just curious.

Thoughts on T.I.'s comments?

Diddy damn near caused a melee at an Atlanta club last weekend.

Fortunately, T.I. was there to talk his out-of-control buddy down.

After the mogul and Ciroc Vodka spokesman threatened to get violent with a man in the crowd drinking a rival brand (seriously) at the BET Hip Hop Awards after-party.

Things almost got out of hand at Compound, until T.I. stepped in:

Diddy began shouting at the man, "B!tch ass n!ggas ... put that sh!t down ... put that sh!t down before I come smack that purple shirt off your ass."

It appears Diddy grabs ice and throws it at the man ... before screaming, "What the f*%k are you gonna do, b*tch? Get the f*%k out of my face!"

That's the edited version. As Diddy ranted, T.I. grabbed another mic.

We've warned you before, Taylor Swift fans: you really have no idea who might join this talented artist on stage when she plays a concert in your hometown.

In late August, Justin Bieber sang a duet with Taylor in Los Angeles, while Nicki Minaj did the honors one night later.

Over the weekend, meanwhile, Swift played a couple of shows in Atlanta - and was joined by a couple of that city's most beloved musical icons. First up, watch T Swizzle drop a serious beat alongside Usher during a live rendition of "Yeah!"

T.I. is a free man at last.

The rapper departed an Atlanta halfway house just after midnight. Wisely, he made a quiet exit and did not roll out on a tricked out tour bus with cameras.

All told, Clifford Harris spent 10 months in federal prison for a probation violation after he and Tiny Cottle were arrested in L.A. last year for drug charges.

The drug charges were later dismissed, but the damage was done as far as his probation - he was released early for his firearms sentence - was concerned.

T.I. was released August 31, only to be pulled back into federal custody right away after heading to the halfway house on a tour bus with TV producers.

This time, he simply got into a chauffeur-driven SUV and left. Congrats, T.I. Hope you and Tiny have a nice reunion ... and that it's not too short-lived.
