The Jonas Brothers are a new pop band being pushed hard by Disney. The group consists of Kevin, Joseph and Nick. We needn't tell you...

Musicians are forever pushing the envelope, honing their crafts, stretching their limits.

Or they're just trying to get as many #1 hits as possible in order to sell more records and make more money to buy big cribs with multi-car garages and basketball courts in the basement.

To that end, artists frequently collaborate with other artists to experiment with style and sound. Sometimes they cross the genre lines and what results is... unexpected.

Nearly an entire season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta was dedicated to Kandi Burruss' quest for songwriting credits in Country music and she teamed up with Sara Evans to make it happen.

Some of these collaborations are wildly more successful than others, but when rap meets country or when pop meets metal, it feels weird. So weird it's good.

Here are 11 weird musical collaborations that totally work. Get ready to groove!

Katy Perry and Juicy J - Dark Horse
Academy Award winner Juicy J's inclusion on Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" made the song sure to be a hit instead of a, well, dark horse.

O-Town has answered the prayers of music fans everywhere.

The group announced this week that it will release an album in August, its first set of new work since 2002's "O2."

And just as O-Town prepares for a comeback, rumors of a One Direction breakup are everywhere today, following a leaked video of members Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson smoking pot.

These contrasting stories serve as the latest reminders that the lives of boy bands can be memorable and long-lasting... or forgetful and fleeting. But always very handsome.

Which groups have stood the test of adorable time? Which do we miss the most? Which did you forget ever existed?

Click through the following gallery and reminisce: Don't you wish some of these singers never went bye, bye, bye?

Ahhh, siblings. You can't live with them, you can't kill them.

KIDDING!

Today is National Siblings Day! The other day a year we pretend to like our built-in best friends because social media tells us to. (The first day is Christmas, because presents, obvs.)

In honor of National Siblings Day, which is probably a totally made up day created by someone attempting to bury the hatchet with a brother or sister by publicly professing that Imma let you finish by my sibling is the best sibling ever, our celebrity gossip editors thought it would be grand to take a look at some of our favorite star siblings:

From the fabulous to the feuding to the famewhores, Hollywood is rife with celebrity siblings. Now to decide if you and your siblings are more or less dysfunctional than they are.

Now that the Jonas brothers have broken up, one member of the group is coming forward with details of his personal life which he's kept under wraps to maintain the band's squeaky clean image.

Among the topics discussed in Joe Jonas' essay for New York Magazine?

Losing his virginity at 20 and smoking marijuana with then-14 year olds Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, who he says pressured him to "try it, try it!"

The Jonas brothers, if you recall, shot to fame after being given a popular series on the Disney channel. But that fame, Joe says, came with a price.

That price? Disney controlled them, down to the way they wore their hair.

"We didn't want to disappoint anyone - our parents, our fans, our employers - so we put incredible pressure on ourselves, the kind of pressure that no teenager should be under," Joe writes.

First, the bad news: The Jonas Brothers really have broken up.

This beloved band announced its split last month and have since followed up with a heartfelt thank you note to fans.

But now the good news: the siblings have fulfilled their promised and released five previously-recorded studio tracks for fans: “Found,” “What Do I Mean To You,” “Neon,” “Wedding Bells,” and “The World.”

The tracks mark the end of a fun, handsome era... but at least they do it in an enjoyable manner.

The Jonas Brothers appears to be handling their break-up in the most mature fashion possible.

They confirmed their split as a group... they appeared on Good Morning America, calmly talking about the complications behind trying to tour this fall... and now they've gone out of their way to thank their fans.

Late yesterday, Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas posted a message to their followers, elaborating on individuals plans and bidding farewell to their long-time supporters.

Much to the chagrin of Twitter users around the nation, the rumor became a reality this week:

The Jonas Brothers have broken up.

But just because these siblings will no longer be performing together, that doesn't mean you won't see them hanging out. Case in point: they showed up today on the set of Good Morning America and addressed their split.

"I think it was time, and for us it took some time getting there, but we feel like it's time that the Jonas Brothers come to an end," Kevin said of the decision.

It is all over for The Jonas Brothers. They confirmed today that they are officially broken up.

Because Joe Jonas has a problem with substance abuse? It remains unclear. All we know for certain, according to the siblings, is that the decision to break up was "unanimous."

It was also heartbreaking for a number of fans.

Many have taken to Twitter and expressed their sadness/outrage; some with a single word ("NOOOOO!") and some with the lamenting of their childhood's demise, noting that Miley Cyrus is now naked a lot, Zac Efron is a drug addict and The Jonas Brothers are no more.

Sad times all over the Internet, indeed. Check out our favorite Twitter reactions to this news below:

It's the end of an error era.

Despite telling fans to please bear with them while they get their $hit together, The Jonas Brothers have now made it official: they've broken up.

"It's over for now," Kevin Jonas tells People, while brother Nick adds: "It's really hard to say 'forever.' We're closing a chapter, for sure."

On October 9, The Jonas Brothers canceled their fall tour, just two days prior to it's scheduled start date.

The Jonas Brothers have broken their silence to give fans an update on the band's status in the midst of a rumored rift, tour cancelation and general drama.

And drama there is. It's not lost on fans - or the brothers themselves.

"Please hold while we get our $h!t together," Joe Jonas Tweeted.

Echoing Joe, Nick Jonas also shared via Twitter, "Bear with us."

The tweets come almost a week after the Jonas Brothers' Twitter was deleted, prompting fans to speculate on whether or not the band was dissolving.

The bros' personal Twitter accounts are still up and running, though the three have been unusually quiet of late following rumors of major unrest.
