Teresa Giudice The Real Housewives of New Jersey

It's still Christmas in Jersey and we get to spend the festive morning with all the families. Who has the Christmas spirit and whose can use a little work?

Let's run it down in THG's +/- review:

Why can't Teresa stop causing trouble? It's only been a few weeks since she and her brother started speaking again. Having them show up for Christmas Eve is a big deal considering where their relationship was just a short time ago.

But Teresa can't let it be. When she hears the Gorgas are heading over to Kathy's she can't hold her tongue. She even tries to use the kids to make her point. Minus 10 for such a lack of manners.

I can't believe I'm saying this but Joe Gorga's was the voice of reason. He explains that they had already accepted Kathy's invitation so they felt obligated to attend both parties. 

Joe's calm and thoughtful and tries to make peace. Plus 10 and can someone please help me up off the floor. I think I fainted from the shock. Realistically though, I won't be surprised if he does something next week that makes me take those points right back.

Christmas got out of control in Jersey Sunday night, but was anyone really surprised? Let's run down all the festivities in THG's +/- review.

We picked up where we left off last week at the Gorgas. Melissa and Joe took pictures of the toys that were brought for the children's hospital.

They're proud but honestly, considering the crowd, that wasn't a lot of toys. Certainly not fifty grand worth. Minus 7 for making it out to be more than it was. 

I really wonder if the charity aspect was just a creative way to try and write off their excessive party on their taxes.

The party quickly turned into the Kim G show because no one knew how to ignore the woman. 

First off, Kim let her friend Monica get escorted from the party but remained behind. Talk about rude. She brought Monica to the party. She should have left with her. Obviously being seen in front of the cameras was more important than being a good friend. Minus 8.

Kim brought her own bodyguards to the party. Well, if you're looking to cause trouble, it's best to bring your own backup, even if you have to hire them. Plus 6 for thinking ahead.

It's a Christmas Party at the Gorgas last night on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and according to Melissa's sister, panties are optional.

Enough said. Let's recap the festivities with THG's +/- review!

We'll start with pre-party planning. It sounds like Joe Guidice has a DUI conviction, then was driving while suspended for the DUI for which he spent 10 days in jail.

He's being sued for fraud and is in the middle of very public and messy bankruptcy proceedings plus other legal issues that haven't been discussed on the show. 

It's a life I wouldn't want to have any part of but Plus 10 for keeping it interesting. 

Ashley has a birthday with all of her family and friends only the girl can't seem to stop texting. Your friends are sitting right next to you. Who are you texting? Minus 7 for incredibly rude behavior.  At her age, she should know better.

The brand new Jeep Wrangler is Ashley's birthday present. Supposedly she's going to be picking up the $500 a month payments soon. I really wonder if she's being set up to fail with this. 

I doubt her internship pays very much (most don't). I know she lives at home for free but between the car payment, insurance (not cheap in Jersey), plus commuting and fuel costs this could get pricey.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey are back and hosting their very guido Christmas. Let's see what the holiday spirit brings with THG's +/- recap!

Caroline's daughter Lauren is in a bit of a funk or as Caroline says, she's in full on bitch mode. Apparently poor Lauren is feeling left out. Her big brothers have moved away and she's got no one left to play with.

Seriously though, her brothers are nice enough to give her a key to their place and she still whines. Minus 7. Time to grow up. Your brothers are older. They have their own lives. You're not 16. Get over it and find one of your own.

I have to say that as odd as it seems, that green feathered Christmas tree is really growing on me. Plus 5 for being original, funky, and festive.

So is Melissa Gorga the next Beyonce? Oh God. Minus 10 for having to sit through yet another singing housewife. It looks like everyone wants to be a pop star.

Joe's hackles go up the moment he hears she may have to spend long hours in the studio. Yes, Joe. Real singers actually put a great deal of time and effort into their craft. 

But Joe and Melissa have the solution. I almost choked on my drink when Melissa gushed, "Oh Joe, I need a studio in the house." Minus another 5.

Melissa Gorga just doesn't get it. Why does Teresa Giudice gotta play her like this?

Asked about her sister-in-law this week, the latest Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member replied: "When I hear her call me pretty much a gold digger, it's like putting a knife in my heart and twisting it, because I know that she knows that's not true."

The Real Housewives of New Jersey took the show on the road and headed to the Catskills. Although I thought I was prepared for anything, I didn't expect this.

Let's recap the highlights and lowlights in this week's +/- review!

We start with the Teresa / Melissa summit talks at Jacqueline's. I don't think these two will ever stop jabbing at one another. It is a constant game of one-upsmanship and I give them a Minus 10 for holding on to such petty crap for so long.

At the same time, I'll give Melissa a Plus 5 for bringing the pictures to remind them of better times. That's a nice gesture.

The two keep saying they're willing to start over but they can't seem to really get there. Jacqueline finally tells Teresa "Quit when you're ahead." Good advice. I doubt she'll take it.

I love that Caroline's husband decides to skip the Catskills trip. Plus 8 for being a smart man.

Did you see Chris' gun safe? How many of those did he bring. My favorite line of the night goes to Jacqueline as she watches him. "I have a look of concern on my face although you can't tell with my botox." She earns a Plus 5 for being honest and funny at the same time.

But before we get to the Catskills, let's check in with the crew that isn't going.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey are back and the theme of the week is family feuds. Wait, isn't that always the theme on this show? 

In any case, let's recap the action with our +/- review:

Caroline starts her radio show and although she's realistically apprehensive I'll give her Plus 8 having the guts to go for it. She's got a bit of a learning curve but Caroline's got the spunk and determination to be a success. Besides, when it comes to family, she's a bit of a know it all.

Joe and Teresa Giudice finally sit down to talk. Well, it's about damn time. Did that take forever or was it just me? I'm so tired of hearing Joe Gorga whine about how much Teresa has changed. Minus 10 for singing the same tune over and over.

Minus 10 for Teresa as well for constantly blaming Melissa. Yes, she's played a large part in this but Joe and Teresa need to stop acting like spoiled brats.

When they finally start to talk, these two can't get past the first five minutes without bickering and blaming one another and their spouses.

Yes, Teresa Giudice and her Real Housewives of New Jersey castmates got into a brawl in the Dominican Republic a few months ago.

But, no, the reality star did not physically attack Adolfo Arreola and Jason Gomez during the fight, as those two claim in a lawsuit filed Monday.

"They acted in self defense," said Jim Kridel, the lawyer for Teresa and Joe Giudice, acknowledging that his clients exchanged words with other patrons, but saying neither instigated any violence.

Kridel continued:  "Teresa was hit and assaulted. She is still in pain over this... mere words are not provocation to hit someone. There's no justification for that."

If this is the case, might Teresa countersue? Kridel didn't say. But he insisted that the plaintiffs have no case:

"It's absolutely ridiculous that they were assaulted without provocation. These people are very litigious and they are looking for an opportunity to look into someone else's pocket."

The Real Housewives of New Jersey are under legal attack for their physical attack against a bar patron the Dominican Republican earlier this year.

In February, Adolfo Arreola - a campus police officer from the University of Illinois at Chicago - got into it with Teresa Giudice at the Hard Rock Hotel in the Dominican Republic. From there, Caroline Manzo and other members of Teresa's family jumped in to the fracas.

Now, outlining the incident in detail, Arreola has filed suit against the Housewives.

He claims Giudice was spraying champagne in the club and nailed Arreola's mother-in-law in the eye with it. According to Adolfo, Teresa then joined other Housewives as they "brutally and savagely beat, kicked, punched, scratched, jumped on and smashed glass" on him and members of his family.

The alleged victims are asking for unspecified damages.

Attention, viewers of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Teresa Giudice has a message for you:

Why the heck are you wasting an hour of your life every week watching the scripted drama between a group of wealthy, self-centered, spoiled women?

Just kidding. The star of this franchise actually took to her blog today and attempted to shoot down rumors that she and husband Joe are in serious trouble. She wrote:

Teresa and her friends lost nine points this week.

Joe and I are not getting a divorce. We aren’t separated; never have been. We are happily married. I love him as much as the day we got married. My kids are wonderful. Yes, Gia cried in school one day, but everyone’s been really sweet to her since then and she’s tough, like her mom. I’m so blessed to have my beautiful family!
