As you probably already know if you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online, the Giudice family goes all out for Christmas.

Teresa Giudice and Family

Of course, the lavish spending that usually characterizes their holiday season probably contributed to the Giudices committing fraud to cover their expenses and being sentenced to federal prison.

Even so, Teresa reportedly wants to have a typically extravagant yuletide celebration complete with pricey gifts for the kids. Predictably, her husband Joe is having none of it.

"Teresa had hoped to give the girls an over-the-top Christmas because she is going to be reporting to prison on January 5," a source tells Radar Online.

"Typically, Teresa would spend $10,000 just on gifts for the girls. From designer handbags, jewelry, one of a kind dolls, there isn't anything that the girls asked for and didn't get."

Despite the fact that Teresa Giudice is still trying to get out of her prison sentence, there's no way that the reality star won't be getting locked up on January 5.

It gets worse than that, too. There's a new wrinkle ...

Teresa Giudice: Skeptical

As though that news wasn't bad enough, it now seems Teresa's 15-month sentence will just be the first leg of her incarceration, as Radar Online reports the mother of four will serve several months in a halfway house after she's released.

"The first two months she will be living in a halfway house," says a source close to Teresa. "During the day, she will be expected to get a job, or look for one. She will be allowed to see the girls, but will have to spend the night at the halfway house."

The source adds that Teresa may be required to stay in the halfway house even longer than two months if officials are not happy with her progress.

As you may have guessed the famously hot-tempered Teresa is not thrilled about the arrangement:

Even though Teresa Giudice is still trying to get out of her sentence, the rest of the world knows there's no getting around it:

Teresa is going to prison. But on the bright side, the PR manager she's hired to help her navigate the crisis is encouraging her to make productive use of her 15 months behind bars.

Teresa Giudice Going to Court

"She will make money off of a tell-all book because people will want to know her prison secrets," says Wendy Feldman who is herself an ex-con. "I have shared my prison secrets and tricks with Teresa from day one."

Feldman has mapped out a strategy for Teresa that includes conducting interviews while she's still locked up (if prison officials allow it) and launching a nationwide PR as soon as possible after being released.

Teresa and Joe Giudice may have supported each other throughout the ordeal of being found guilty on fraud charges, but now that the trial is over, sources say the couple is spending virtually all of their time apart.

Teresa's 15-month prison sentence doesn't begin until January, but she's certainly not taking advantage of her last opportunity to bond with her husband before they serve back-to-back stretched behind bars:

"Joe has been spending time with his siblings and friends since being sentenced," a source tells Radar Online. "The last place he wants to be is with Teresa in that house of horrors."

"He felt intense pressure over the years to provide Teresa with an over the top lifestyle and that house is just a horrible reminder of that."

Can someone explain to Teresa Giudice how a plea deal works? Because we still don't think she understands.

As you may have heard, Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in jail recently after pleading guilty to fraud back in March.

Giudice says she didn't understand the plea deal and thought it guaranteed that she wouldn't have to serve jail time.

Well, it didn't and under the terms of her deal, she's not allowed to appeal her sentence.

Teresa Giudice: Telling It Like It Is

Yes, short of going on the run there's literally nothing Teresa can do avoid going to prison. But that won't stop her from trying her fool heart out!

"Teresa has been meeting with numerous lawyers since being sentenced to 15 months," a source tells Radar Online.

Bravo aired part two of its sit-down with Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice last night, as the law-breaking reality star appeared again opposite Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.

Following Monday evening's televised interview, during which Teresa claimed she didn't understand the terms of her plea bargain, this awful couple blamed pretty much everyone except themselves for their legal woes.

“I wasn't aware that we needed to put all that information down,” Teresa said of why she failed to list various expensive assets on various financial forms.

"I wish our accountant had come to our house and then filled out the paperwork.”

Kissing Giudices

The Giudices also claimed they only have $25,000 worth of home furnishings inside a $3 million home. How can that be?

"Four years later, if it was appraised at $50,000 or $60,000, it's half right?" Joe said, we guess trying to be funny.

Teresa added that she told her attorney to list her engagement and wedding band on the forms, along with Joe’s Rolex and wedding ring, but he failed to do so.

Even though Teresa Giudice has been sentenced to 15 months in prison, the troubled reality star is apparently unconcerned about overzealous guards or run-ins with other prisoners. And with good reason:

Teresa will reportedly serve out her sentence at Alderson Federal Prison in West Virginia.

Though its far from her Jersey homebase, adding to Teresa's concerns that prison will "destroy" her family, the facility is regarded as one of the safest and easiest places to serve time in the country.

"Alderson is known as Camp Cupcake," a source acquainted with the prison tells Radar Online.

Teresa Giudice may be headed to the clink. But first she's making a few deposits in the bank.

The law-breaking reality star reportedly earned six figures for sitting down with Andy Cohen this week and discussing her impeding jail sentence of 15 months.

And now Giudice is also covering the new issue of Us Weekly, opening up to the tabloid about her illegal financial dealings while, we presume, being paid to do so.

Last night, Bravo aired the first half of Joe and Teresa Giudice's post-sentencing interview with Andy Cohen.

On Thursday, the network that made the Giudices famous will feature the second half of their extended sit-down with Cohen, and given the slate of topics to be discussed, round 2 might leave the Giudices looking worse than ever.

For one thing, Andy will reportedly confront Teresa about her claims that The Real Housewives of New Jersey is scripted, and edited to make her look bad. (We're guessing AC wasn't too thrilled with that statement.)

But what we're really looking forward to is the discussion about Joe Giudice's alcoholism.

Last night, Teresa and Joe Giudice sat down for with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live for their first interview since being sentenced for fraud.

As expected, Teresa explained that she didn't understand her plea deal and continued to play the blameless victim role. It was pretty infuriating.

The one time that she came off as the least bit sympathetic or relatable, however, is one she spoke of her relationship with eldest daughter Gia.

Gia Giudice on RHONJ

The Giudices haven't told their youngest daughters that they'll both soon be headed off to prison, so Gia is shouldering the burden on her own. And from the sound of it, so she's doing as fine a job as could be expected.

Asked by Cohen about the moment when she told her 13-year-old Gia about the sentence, Teresa became choked up with what seemed to be a mix of shame in her actions and pride for her daughter:
