Taylor Swift did more than merely perform in Canada over the weekend. She honored some of that nation's best in the music industry.

During a concert in Toronto, Swift told fans she wanted to give credit to "incredible musicians" from the region and proceeded to churn out acoustic versions of "You Learn" by Alanis Morissette, "Baby" by Justin Bieber and other singles.

Move over Britney, J. Lo, Justin Bieber and a slew of other stars: Taylor Swift is coming out with her first fragrance.

"Wearing perfume is such a unique way to create memories," the singer said of "Wonderstruck." Like songs, a scent can take you back and allow you to relive a moment in time."

The scent was chosen by Swift. It combines fruits, such as raspberry and apple blossom, with notes of golden amber and sandalwood.

“I wrote the lyric, ‘I’m wonderstruck, blushing all the way home,’ for the song ‘Enchanted’ about the first time you meet someone,” Taylor said. “A fragrance can help shape someone’s first impression and memory of you. It’s exciting to think that Wonderstruck will play a role in creating some of those memories.”

The perfume will be available in October.

Distraught, but given no other option, Taylor Swift has been forced to cancel a few upcoming shows on her Speak Now World Tour.

The singer has been diagnosed with bronchitis and advised by her doctor to take it easy. As a result, she won't be performing in Charlotte this Friday, or over the weekend in Atlanta.

"It breaks my heart to miss out on this weekend's shows with my friends in Charlotte and Atlanta," Taylor said yesterday. "I would never cancel if I thought I was physically able to perform these shows. I am so sorry to the fans, but I look forward to seeing you when we come back through your towns, which we will do."

The Charlotte concert has been rescheduled for November 16, while the Atlanta shows will be moved to October 1 and 2. Look for Swift to resume her regular schedule July 14 in Montreal.

They didn't all appear on stage, but some of country's biggest names picked up CMT Music Awards last night.

During a ceremony hosted by Kid Rock, newlyweds Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton both earned a pair of trophies, while Taylor Swift was honored for Video of the Year for "Mine."

"I wish I could be there, but I'm hanging out with 15,000 of my closest friends in Milwaukee," Swift, who is on tour, said via satellite.

No event is complete without a Justin Bieber sighting, of course, as the 17-year old icon added to his collection with the Collaborative Video Award for "That Should Be Me" with Rascal Flatts.

Other winners included: Lady Antebellum for Best Group Video, Sugarland for Best Duo Video, The Band Perry for Breakthrough Video and Zac Brown Band/Jimmy Buffet for Performance of the Year for "Margaritaville" on the show CMT Crossroads.

Taylor Swift acts like a schoolgirl in her latest music video.

For "Story of Us," Swift depicts herself as a college student going through a difficult relationship. She's on record as saying the single and the video are both based on an awkward encounter with an ex.

"Anytime I'm onstage or watching the music video, the first thing that comes into my mind is the person I wrote the song about," Taylor told MTV News. "It's like the first thing that you think of is the moment that inspired the song, which is that excruciating, awful moment when you run into an ex for the first time."

Is she referring to Joe Jonas? John Mayer? Jake Gyllenhaal? Ponder the possibilities as you watch the video.

Taylor Swift's unique benefit convert has paid off - and then some.

On May 21, the singer/songwriter allowed 13,000 fans to sit in on a rehearsal for her upcoming tour, with all proceeds going to the victims of last month's tornado in Alabama. The result? Three quarters of a million dollars raised.

“It was so wonderful,” Swift told Access Hollywood of the event. “It was almost like playing our first show because were playing for 13,000 people and it’s the whole show the way we would do the last dress rehearsal and I’m just so excited that we got to raise $750,000 dollars for the victims of the tornadoes.”

It's been a great week on a professional level for Taylor, too. She took home Billboard Awards for the Top Country Artist, Top Country Album and Top Billboard 200 Artist on Sunday night.

In many ways, Selena Gomez's lips stole the show at last night's Billboard Music Awards. See what we mean HERE and try not to get too upset over it.

But the young singer also made headlines with her lower extremities, specifically her right led, which peaked out from underneath a lovely dress Selena wore to the event.

But was she the best looking young star at the ceremony? Not if you're a Taylor Swift supporter. Aside from picking up four awards, that pop/country crooner posed for photographers in the following outfit. Compare her with Gomez now and cast your vote:

It hasn't worked out with Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer or Taylor Lautner. But Taylor Swift remains a romantic at heart.

In a new interview with InStyle, the singer is asked about her take on romance and the fact that she pens so many songs about ex-boyfriends.

"There are no rules when it comes to love," she says. "I just try to let love surprise me because you never know who you're going to fall in love with. You never know who's going to come into your life – and for me, when I picture the person I want to end up with, I don't think about what their career is, or what they look like. I picture the feeling I get when I'm with them."

But have the failed relationships taken a toll on her outlook? Dampened Swift's aspirations for love? No way, she says.

"I'm really a daydreamer... When it comes to 'happily ever after,' I always have a tendency to write a happy ending to my songs. That's probably wishful thinking on my part."

Taylor Swift gets it.

Sure, the paparazzi are comprised of a bunch of soulless losers. But life under the glare of these photographers is the price one pays for fame, fortune and a job one loves.

"I think it's just obnoxious if I complain about anything," Swift said during an appearance on Ellen today. "I hear people talk about like, 'oh, the intrusions on my privacy!' It's like, there are a million other jobs you could have had."

Taylor is finalizing her world tour, which kicks off on May 27 in Omaha. And if anyone snaps a photo of her during it? Well...

"For me, it's just like live your life. If people happen to take picture then you know, you laugh about it in the car afterwards."

Taylor Swift is aiming to assist Alabama.

The singer will raise money for victims of recent tornadoes in that area by holding a dress rehearsal on May 21 in Nashville.

Over 13,000 tickets to the special performance will go on sale, with proceeds going to those in need.

Taylor on Stage

"I was watching the coverage of the tornadoes backstage at rehearsals, and wanted to do something for the families affected by the damage," Swift writes on her website.

"I've never opened a rehearsal to the public before, but I felt that inviting my fans to the last rehearsal for the Speak Now tour would be a great way to raise money."
