Tami Farrell finished second to Carrie Prejean at the 2009 Miss California Pageant. But she took over the crown in June 2009 when Prejean was stripped of the title.
The young beauty won her first title, Miss Oregon Teen USA in 2002. She was then crowned Miss Teen USA a year later. Farrell also won the "Miss Congeniality" award at the same pageant.
Tami has judged a number of state pageants, including Miss Washington USA 2006 and Miss California USA 2006. She even appeared on the now-canceled NBC soap opera, Passions. In the summer of 2008, she won the title of Miss Malibu USA 2009 and proceeed to compete at the aforementioned 2009 Miss California USA Pageant.

Does this mean that if the existing Miss USA wins Miss Universe, Tammy Farrell would become the next Miss USA?

Personnaly, I the Carrie was cheated out of her crown. She was asked a question, and she answered it from her heart. It is not her fault the judge took offense to her answer. I think the judge just can't handle the truth.

Hi Miss Farrell,
Here in Israel, I never heard about you but it so happened that about ten years ago, after nour marriage, we decided that our E-mail address should include a part of our both first names: Fara & Eldad. That's how come that we "invented" the name Farel (not with double letters like your name, but with the same sound). Today, by chace, we discovered that it is not our private invention. But at least the woman which carries "our" E-mail name, is a pretty one and is a Miss.

If Miss USA 2009 is crowned Miss Universe 2009, then it's likely that Miss Arizona USA would assume the role as Miss USA. Arizona was 2nd runner-up at the Miss USA pageant. Because Carrie Prejean was removed from her post as Miss California USA, she is also removed from being first runner-up to Miss USA. In my opinion, I'll be surprised if Kristen Dalton (Miss USA) makes it to the top five at the Miss Universe pageant. I feel that Miss Utah USA would have been a stronger delegate. Lovely and very hip, Tami Farrell, will remain Miss California through November.
