American Idol fans may long remember the name Syesha Mercado. She made it all the way to the final three on season seven of the show, defying early critics. The singer formally tried out for "The One" on ABC, is the daughter of a motown back-up singer and majored in theater in college. She could have a big career on Broadway, if you ask us.
