Steven Slater Bio
Steven Slater became a celebrity and a cause to rally behind in August 2010.
He's a veteran flight attendant who grew so incensed at a rude passenger that he cursed her off over the intercom; grabbed his baggage and two beers, quit his job and escaped via the emergency chute of the plane he was on, which had just landed.
Slater was then arrested for multiple crimes, but most of America seems to totally understand where he's coming from.
He lives in Queens and has been taking care of his cancer-ridden mom.
