Friend of Ray Charles Defends Steven Seagal, Shoots Down Sexual Harassment Accusations

First a former employee went on record this week with nice things to say about Steven Seagal.

Now, the actor has someone else in his corner: Damien Ross, a former friend of Ray Charles, told TMZ that he set up the initial meeting between Ray's granddaughter, Blair Robinson, and the actor. It took place in a Memphis hotel in 2004, so Seagal could interview her for a personal assistant position.

Robinson has since accused Seagal of demanding sexual favors from her.

Does Steven Seagal think he's above the law? Or is the actor being wrongly accused?

Ross says Robinson was never alone with Seagal and never even had a room in the same hotel as the troubled star, which contradicts what Blair wrote in a sworn statement last week.

As for Seagal's lawyer, Marty Singer, he also questions Robinson's allegations and motives:

"Ms. Robinson was never employed by Steven Seagal and never received any compensation from any entity even though she claimed to have worked more than six years ago for my client."

A Woman Says Something Nice About Steven Seagal

Here's something you see about as often as Kate Gosselin choosing her kids over the spotlight:

A female, former employee of Steven Seagal has gone on record with nice things to say about the actor.

When contacted by TMZ, Sonam Choezom - who served as Seagal's nanny in 1996 - said Seagal offered to move her ailing father from Nepal to the America, while employing Choezom as his babysitter so she could afford her dad's health care bills.

Sonam said she is "very surprised" by the sexual harassment lawsuit filed by Kayden Nguyen because the actor was "always very nice and respectful" to her. He never once tried to touch her vagina for "a second to see what it felt like."

Seagal could definitely use this kind of good news. While his attorney denies all claims, more allegations have surfaced against the actor this week:

  • Ex-wife Kelly LeBrock said she will release "many shocking things" about her former husband in an upcoming book.
  • The granddaughter of music legend Ray Charles, Blair Robinson, filed a document that accused Seagal of harassing her in 2004.
  • Movie critics have wondered whether Seagal actually marked for death in the 1990 action flick Marked for Death.

Blair Robinson: Steven Seagal Demanded Sexual Favors From Me

Earlier today, we reported that a pair of women have stepped up and added their names to the lawsuit Kayden Nguyen has filed against Steven Seagal.

We can now identify one of these females as Blair Robinson, the granddaughter of legendary singer Ray Charles.

According to TMZ, Robinson first met Seagal at her Charles' funeral in 2004. Innocent enough, right? It gets a lot shadier from there...

Blair Robinson

Following the funeral, Robinson claims she was invited to the actor's residence to discuss a job opportunity. Too bad she didn't have Kayden Nguyen to warn her about what might happen next.

In her sworn declaration, Blair says she accepted an offer as Seagal's assistant. On her very first day of work, the actor reportedly came to her room; said she was required to give him massages; and then offered to teach her the proper method for these acts.

"It became clear to me that he wanted and expected sexual favors as part of my job duties," Blair alleges in the documents, adding that she quit after the first day.

Seagal's attorney denies these claims. But if any of these allegations are true, Steven Seagal: Lawman becomes an even more misleading show than Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Blair Robinson Accuses Steven Seagal of Sexual Misconduct

Kayden Nguyen may have been alone with Steven Segal when he allegedly tried to fondle her inappropriately, but the model is not alone in her accusations against the actor.

As first reported by TMZ, two more women have come forward and delivered sworn declarations to Nguyen's legal team that paint Seagal in a shady (sort of hilarious) light.

Both females claim they were also employed by the former action star when he made unwanted advances against them. One says Seagal lured her into a bedroom, groped her boobs and said he was "checking just as a doctor would for lumps."

However, on Seagal's resume, he's played a Navy SEAL, an environmental protection agent and about nine renegade cops. But never a physician.

The declaration adds: "Seagal reached his hand down my pants. He said, 'I just wanted to touch it for a second to see what it felt like.'"

Under siege from the press, Steven Seagal could soon be entering the dark territory of a jail cell.

As you might expect, Seagal's lawyer, Marty Singer, has a different view of the new allegations.

"My client has no knowledge of these women and a preliminary check of his employment records does not show that they ever worked for him," he told TMZ. "The declarations were clearly prepared by Nguyen's lawyer to be leaked to the media to help bolster his client's meritless claims."

Perhaps. But what is Seagal's defense for Under Siege 2?!?

** UPDATE: It's been confirmed that one of the women accusing Seagal in the documents mentioned above is Blair Robinson, the granddaughter of Ray Charles!

Kelly LeBrock on Steven Seagal Sexual Harassment Accusations: D'uh!

In one of the strangest celebrity gossip stories of the season, Kayden Nguyen has sued Steven Seagal for treating her like a "sex toy."

The model claims she was duped by the actor into thinking she'd be serving as his personal assistant, only for the action star to grope her and request sexual favors from Nguyen.

While this may come as a shock to those of us that memorized every line of Under Siege, Kelly LeBrock, tells TMZ she's "not surprised" by the allegations.

The former model/actress was married to Seagal from 1987 to 1994 and has three kids with him. She says: "I will refrain from saying anything specific now because of our 3 children."

Actually, that's a lie. This is why she'll actually refrain from saying anything specific at the moment:

"I have many shocking things to say about Mr. Seagal which will be known soon when my book comes out."

Good. That should set a solid example of your children.

We didn't think it was possible to get more ridiculous than the Kardashians' relationship book, but LeBrock just proved us wrong.

Kayden Nguyen: Serious About Steven Seagal Lawsuit

Despite a threat from Steven Seagal's lawyer, Kayden Nguyen is undeterred in her lawsuit against the actor.

Marty Singer, the attorney for Seagal, says Nguyen's sexual harassment suit against his client "is in direct violation of the terms of the confidentiality agreement" she signed in February, after she earned a job with Seagal.

Nguyen alleges this job was advertised as an executive assistant position... but Seagal instead placed Kayden in a compromising position on her first day in the office, grabbing her breasts and feeling for her crotch. If true, it was the actor's ugliest behavior since everything he did in 2001's Exit Wounds.

Singer has threatened to seek lawyer fees, costs and sanctions from Nguyen if she goes through with the lawsuit - but her attorney isn't budging. Replied William Waldo:

"Please tell Steven Seagal two things. First, the cheap shot threats that might have intimidated other victims and their lawyers don't phase me. Save your ink. Second, Ms. Nguyen's claims are not going away. Five other victims called me yesterday."

Seagal has denied the accusations, while his hilarious reality show (Steven Seagal Lawman) has been placed on hiatus.

** UPDATE: This lawsuit has been dropped.

Steven Seagal Denies Kayden Nguyen Allegations

If there was one thing Steven Seagal was good at as an actor - and, at most, there was only one thing - it was taking on injustices and righting wrongs.

According to Seagal's lawyer, that's exactly what his mission is when it comes to Kayden Nguyen. The model has sued Seagal for sexual harassment, claiming he fondled her breasts and ordered her to serve as his sex toy.

In a statement, attorney Marty Singer refers to Nguyen (pictured) as a "disgruntled" former employee who was fired for using illegal narcotics and adds: "[I am] extremely confident this merit-less lawsuit will be dismissed.”

Kayden Nguyen

Singer continued:

"Ms. Nguyen filed her lawsuit without even notifying Steven Seagal or his representatives of her alleged claims because she was aware that claims could be asserted against her based on her own conduct. Her lawsuit is nothing more than a preemptive strike by a disgruntled ex-employee.”

We have no idea what took place, of course, but Nguyen actually appeared on a segment of Tyra Banks' talk show in 2009 and said: "I can use my sex appeal to get any girl that I want and trick any guy to getting what I want."

Kayden Nguyen Sues Steven Seagal for Sex Toy Treatment

Steven Seagal is under siege, as a woman named Kayden Nguyen is out for justice following allegedly heinous acts committed by the actor.

According to TMZ, Nguyen has sued Seagal. The charge: Trafficking women for sex.

Derek Lowe Mug Shot

A 23-year-old former model, Kayden says she interviewed with Seagal in February 2009 for the position of executive assistant. The good news? She got the gig. The bad news?

"Mr. Seagal had been keeping two young female Russian 'Attendants' on staff who were available for his sexual needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week," she says in the lawsuit.

Because one of these "Attendants" had recently quit, Kayden alleges she was expected to fulfill those duties. Specifically, Seagal treated her "as his sex toy," Nguyen claims, going into detail about how he shoved his hands under her skirt and pants, and attempted to fondle her boobs.

A case of alleged sex trafficking? Sounds like a case for Steven Seagal Lawman!

Along with these allegations of sexual assault, Nguyen accuses the actor of forcing her to consume illegal pills.  He supposedly said to her: "My wife wouldn't mind if you and I had a sexual relationship."

Nguyen is seeking over a million dollars in damages.

Seagal has been seeking a respectable movie career for about thirty years now.
