He introduced himself to the world as Snoop Dogg, sipping on Gin & Juice with Dr. Dre.

Then he became Snoop Lion, an alter ego based in the world of reggae, for the 2013 LP "Reincarnated."

But fans must now say goodbye to both these versions of this beloved rapper, as he's left the Rastafarian universe behind to become… Snoopzilla!

The 41-year-old artist announced this name change this week in promotion for his upcoming album, “7 Days of Funk.”

He says it's homage to funk legend Bootsy Collins, who sometimes went by the nickname of Bootzilla. Whatever, man.

It's all good and hilarious to us, Snoopzilla. Which name do you like best for the star, readers?

Miley Cyrus and Snoop Lion have more in common than a love of marijuana.

The artists also share credit on "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks," a track off Snoop's "Reincarnated," and they've just teamed up to release the official music video.

It features both Miley and Snoop singing against their own reflections, while also blowing out some smoke between verses. What else would you expect from a song with such a title?

Miley Cyrus and Snoop Lion apparently know a thing or two about ashtrays and heartbreaks.

That's the name of the unexpected collaboration between the pop artist and the rapper, as the former is featured on a track that will be included on the latter's upcoming album, "Reincarnated."

"Tonight there's gonna be a whole lot of smoke in the air," the two sing as the single opens. "Blow it hard for the ones who ain't here."

Amen, Miles and Snoop. The only question remaining: Can one Twerk to this song?

Snoop Dogg is now the artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg.

The rapper announced last night that he's no longer Snoop Dogg ... or a rapper. He will be focusing on creating reggae music under the name Snoop Lion!

"Rap is not a challenge to me," the Doggfather said Monday at a press event in New York City, explaining his transformation to the ... Lionfather?

Snoop Dogg Twitpic

"With no disrespect to other rappers, but they can't f**k with me in rap," he added.

"I've won every accolade you can in rap, they call me 'Uncle Snoop' in rap. When you're an uncle, it's time to find something new ... I want to feel like a kid again."

Thus, get ready to hear Snoop Lion roar ... or at least drop smooth, Caribbean-influenced beats on his new project called, Reincarnated.

"It's not that I want to become Snoop Dogg on a reggae track," Snoop reiterated. "I want to bury Snoop Dogg, and become Snoop Lion."

"I didn't know that until I went to the temple, where the High Priest asked me what my name was, and I said, 'Snoop Dogg.' And he looked me in my eyes and said, 'No more. You are the light; you are the lion.'"

"From that moment on, it's like I had started to understand why I was there."

It's unclear if he means that metaphorically or literally, but good to know.

Check out Snoop Lion’s debut single, “La La La,” after the jump!

According to reports, Tupac's hologram performance at Coachella has Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre thinking of taking the late rapper's CGI likeness with them on tour.

Tupac died back in 1996 (well, according to some people), but he was introduced to a whole new generation of fans thanks to the wizards at Digital Domain.

The Hollywood firm created a CGI version of the rapper performing on "Hail Mary" and "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" at the Coachella Festival this weekend:

Using angled reflectors to create the illusion that he was actually alive and on stage, video of the stunt hit the Internet and became a viral sensation Monday.

It also looked like Tupac's been busy at the gym in the afterlife.

Anyway, old 2Pac friends and collaborators Dre and Snoop told the Wall Street Journal that the two are considering mounting an arena tour - with digi-Pac.

"This is just the beginning," Digital Domain's chief creative officer, Ed Ulbrich, told the paper. "Dre has a massive vision for this." That got us thinking ...

Talk to THG: If the Tupac Shakur hologram performed at a venue in your hometown, would you pay to go see that crazy mofo?

And more importantly, is Tupac even dead?

Break out the champagne glasses and the motherf--kin' condoms.

This weekend's Coachella festival was the place to be. Everyone was there. Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Vanessa Hudgens, Lindsay Lohan ... even Tupac!!

Say what now? The late rapper appeared as a hologram (seriously).

Check out the video below of a startlingly real-looking 2Pac "performing" two of his hits, including "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" with Snoop Dogg (seriously):

Somewhere, conspiracy theorists are salivating over this and insisting it's actually 'Pac, and the media is just telling us that it's a hologram because he's still the most wanted motherf--ker in America. West side 'til we die b!tchez.

Cori B has just released her first music video for the song "Do My Thang."

The aspiring star, naturally, is the 12-year-old daughter of Snoop Dogg.

Step aside, Willow Smith. This kid-friendly tune is definitely catchy and Cori B has mad skillz ... even if we can't decide if it's sad or awesome that the same Snoop D-O-Double-Gizzle who used to rap with Dr. Dre is now making cameos here:

What do you think of Cori B's music video debut?
