Add his mom's legal fees to Levi Johnston's list of bills to pay.

Sherry Johnston pleaded guilty yesterday in Alaska Superior Court to one count of possession with intent to deliver the prescription painkiller OxyContin.

We might be seeing Levi Johnston nude sooner than we thought!

Sherry, 43, the grandmother of Tripp Johnston, whose mother is Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, lives in Wasilla, Alaska.

She will be sentenced in November.

Johnston, Sherry

A plea deal calls for her to be sentenced to five years in prison, with two years suspended. Her attorney said the deal includes three years probation as well.

"That's pretty," Sherry Johnston said as a court officer placed pink handcuffs - a gift from an Arizona sheriff - around her wrists, for reasons unknown.

Johnston was convicted of a Class A felony, which carries a presumptive sentence of 5-8 years. The plea deal calls for a shorter prison stint because she possessed a small quantity and had no previous drug-related convictions.

Assistant District Attorney Rick Allen said it's not unusual for defendants with mitigating factors like Johnston's to get half the minimum sentence.

Sherry Johnston is jailed at Hiland Mountain Correctional Center while awaiting sentencing and could serve time there, or at home with ankle monitoring.

Facing a May 18 trial date on charges of selling OxyContin, Sherry Johnston - the mother of Levi Johnston - says relations between her family and that of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are thawing, and that she saw grandson Tripp at her own home.

"When Bristol came to pick up Tripp this week, she said if we want him more often, all I have to do is call ... She said if I want to come to their house, I can come over and see him all the time," Sherry Johnston, 42, tells Momlogic.com.

"I am hopeful we'll be able to work together to raise Tripp."

The families have been feuding in recent weeks as Levi embarks on a whirlwind media tour for some ridiculous reason, talking about boning Bristol and feeling sorry for himself for not getting to spend more time with his son.

Johnston, who spent Mother's Day with Levi and his twin sister Mercede, said she sent a Mother's Day text message to Tripp's mom, Bristol Palin, May 10.

Three generations of Johnstons: Sherry, Levi and Tripp.

But despite signs of easing of the tension between the two Alaskan families, Sherry says she still would like to see her baby grandson more often.

Perhaps she should have considered that before getting involved - allegedly, sorry - in dealing prescription drugs. Not great for the reputation, typically.

"We see him a few hours a week, but I did spend time with him this morning. It tears me apart. Every time I see him he's a different child."

"Before he wasn't rolling over, now he is," Sherry Johnston added. "Now he's trying to crawl. I am missing him so much that it tears me up."

Johnston pleaded innocent to all charges and says she got hooked on the opiate after a hysterectomy that led to seven additional surgeries.

In part two of his interview on CBS' The Early Show, Levi Johnston - the 19-year-old father of Sarah Palin's grandson - continued to accuse the Palin family of trying to prevent him from spending time alone with his 3-month-old son, Tripp.

Levi said that while he still talks to Bristol Palin, 18, "every day, every other day," the conversations are "real short ... You know, I call her to see - see how my baby's doing, that kind of thing. But we don't really sit there and talk."

He also talked about how he first met Sarah Palin's daughter and had been close to her for years, but that all changed when she was picked as the Republican party's nominee for Vice President last August, according to Levi.

In addition to calling the Palins liars about his past connection to them, Levi and his mother, Sherry Johnston, also say that the family won't let her see her grandson and wants to meet with the Palins to work out a custody arrangement.

In a perfect world, "everything will be reconciled," Sherry said. "[I hope] we can get together, if for no other reason, [than] for Tripp. He deserves to know both his grandmas and grandpas, and aunts and uncles. And mom and dad."

"I had a really rough summer," added Sherry, who faces six felony counts of possessing and selling the prescription painkiller OxyContin. "And Tripp ... just waiting for him ... was the only thing that really got me through."

Which side are you on?

Speaking publicly for the first time since her December 18 arrest on charges of dealing OxyContin, Sherry Johnston says she got hooked on the prescription drug after a hysterectomy eight years ago, which led to seven more surgeries.

"I was in pain, and I'm still in pain," she tells People.

Johnston, 42, pleaded not guilty at her arraignment in Palmer, Alaska.

"I have been trying for years to deal with the pain," the mother of Bristol Palin's baby daddy Levi Johnston says. "I still have a medical pump inside me. I would rather not comment any more but it's not everything that they're saying."

Sherry Johnston said she has been under a doctor's care and that she was prescribed OxyContin as a painkiller. Still, the hysterectomy and the subsequent complications forced her to give up her career as a hairstylist.

No comment on whether or not she deals drugs out of her house, which has been alleged after authorities had a couple of her customers wear wires.

Regardless, Sherry's spirits have been lifted by the birth of Levi and Bristol's son, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, who was born on December 27.

When she saw the baby the day he was born, "I started bawling," the new grandmother says. "I think he looks just like Levi... I'm very excited."

Levi Johnston, 18, was recently forced to quit his job in an electrical apprenticeship program in Alaska's North Slope oil fields after a local newspaper columnist raised questions about whether he was eligible to participate.

Johnston says her son and Bristol Palin, also 18, plan to wed this summer.

The future mother-in-law of Bristol Palin pleaded not guilty today to felony drug charges for allegedly selling the prescription painkiller OxyContin.

Sherry Johnston - the 42-year-old mother of Levi Johnston - was arrested December 18 on six felony drug charges. She was released on $5,000 bail.

According to the Anchorage Daily News, she arrived in court today without a lawyer, friends or supporters. A trial date has been set for the end of March.

The case against Sherry Johnston began in September - during the heart of the McCain-Palin presidential campaign - when investigators intercepted a package containing 179 pills of OxyContin, often referred to as "hillbilly heroin."

Two suspects were arrested but then agreed to serve as informants and made undercover purchases from Johnston in exchange for a lighter sentencing.

On October 1, Levi Johnston's mother allegedly sent the following to a buyer, among with other text messages: "I wish I could but there's only so many times I can go for coffee a month. The rest of the time I need to have it at home!"

Don't we all. After making two transactions, a third purchase took place on November 26. The informant was wired and this time police videotaped the meeting.

Sherry's not guilty plea comes a week after Levi and Bristol welcomed a boy, Tripp Easton Michael Johnston, in Palmer, Alaska. The two are set to wed this summer.

As the world awaits news of the imminent birth of Bristol Palin's baby (the daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was due before Christmas), authorities are outlining the felony drug case against her baby daddy's mama, Sherry Johnston.

Sherry, the mother of Levi Johnston, was arrested December 19 after she sent a pair of text messages to police informants discussing drug transactions before her arrest on felony drug charges, the Anchorage Daily News reports.

According to the state's biggest newspaper, an affidavit says Sherry Johnston sent text messages referring to "coffee" as a code for the drug OxyContin, a strong prescription painkiller sometimes called "hillbilly heroin" on the street.

Johnston sent a text message to one informant on October 1 - well into Sarah Palin's campaign for the vice presidency on the Republican ticket - writing:

"Hey, my phones are tapped and reporters and god knows who else is always following me and the family so no privacy. I will let u no when I can go for cof."

THE JOHNSTONS: One happy, prescription-drug dealing, baby-making family.

Authorities say the case began in September when drug investigators intercepted a package containing 179 Oxycontin pills. That led to the arrest of the suspects.

They agreed to be informants, and 10 days after Johnston said there wasn't enough privacy for a drug sale, she texted again to set up a meeting at a store.

The document indicates that the informant received $800 to make a purchase, meeting investigators later with 10 pills of 80-milligram Oxycontin.

A second purchase was made the following day, authorities said. This time the informant wore a hidden camera and a microphone to record Sherry Johnston.

A third purchase allegedly occurred November 26. The informant was wired for the transaction and this time, Alaska police videotaped the meeting.

Sherry Johnston was arrested last week after police arrived at her Wasilla home with a search warrant. She is currently free after posting bail.

Sherry Johnston, mother of Bristol Palin boyfriend/fiance/baby-daddy Levi Johnston, was charged with six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance, Alaska's Anchorage Daily News reported early Friday morning.

Johnston was served with a search warrant and arrested shortly thereafter by the Alaska State Police and then charged with second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance – typically manufacturing or delivering drugs.

Police also charged her with fourth-degree misconduct involving controlled substances, or possession. An undercover narcotics investigation focusing on Sherry Johnston had been going on "a while" prior to the search and her arrest.

Sherry Johnston did not comment to reporters on the subject. She reportedly was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond just after 2 p.m. Thursday.

A rep for Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, mother of Bristol Palin, said Thursday:

"This is not a state government matter. Therefore the governor's communications staff will not be providing comment or scheduling interview opportunities."

Hey, at least the celebrity gossip media heat will be off Levi Johnston for awhile as a result of these drug charges. Way to take one for the team here, Sherry!

Troopers released no other information, including the kind or amount of drugs, because details could jeopardize an ongoing investigation, said a spokeswoman.

Levi Johnston and Bristol, who is nine months pregnant, are expecting their first child any day now. Both are 18. Bristol Palin's due date is tomorrow.
