Justin Bieber had an eventful evening at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto last night.

He won the trophy for International Video of the Year, he flirted publicly with Selena Gomez and he paid homage to a pair of beauties: Selena, of course, and Kelly Kapowski, the lovable Saved by the Bell cheerleader portrayed years ago by Tiffani Amber-Thiessen.

Selena Gomez was a busy young woman last night.

The 18-year old hosted the MuchMusic Video Awards, accepted a date from Justin Bieber, performed with her band The Scene and made like Lady Gaga (more on that below).

Justin Bieber received an honor at tonight's Muchmusic Video Awards. He then walked on to the stage and gave Selena Gomez the honor millions of girls around the globe would murder for.

Upon accepting the International Video of the Year alongside Drake, Bieber turned to Gomez on stage and said she looked beautiful and, hey, maybe she'd like to go on a date some time!

Just one week ago, Selena Gomez was hospitalized after taping an interview with Jay Leno. Malnourishment and exhaustion were reportedly to blame.

Whatever the cause, she's bounced back strong already. This morning, she delivered a spirited Central Park performance on Good Morning America.

The adorable love interest of Justin Bieber (whose new video with Chris Brown was just released) wowed the crowd with a number of her hit songs.

Being a role model was never on Selena Gomez's to-do list.

However, the 18-year-old actress and singer has learned to embrace it anyway, she says in the upcoming E! Entertainment Special: Selena Gomez.

"I am human, I'm not perfect," Gomez admits. "I make mistakes all the time, but I guess my job is to keep those mistakes to myself, which I'm already fine doing and just try to be the best I can be for those kids."

Being a role model isn't easy when you're still growing up yourself.

"I never really said I want to be a role model. But when it happened I was so down for it," Gomez admits, having just been hospitalized due to malnourishment and exhaustion, which led to her mom telling her to slow down.

She's doing better now, but it's an ongoing battle.

While the Texas-born beauty has enjoyed much success at a young age, she didn't have an easy childhood and struggled with her parents' divorce.

Having been hospitalized earlier in the week, forced to own up to her poor eating habits, Selena Gomez finally got some good news today:

The single "Who Says?" has gone platinum.

Gomez reacted on Twitter with enthusiasm: "Ahhhh yay! Yay! Yay! Who Says went platinum!!! Thank you!! YOU have every right to a beautiful life :)"

Way to go, Selena! Now, all ears turn to "Whiplash," another track off Selena Gomez & The Scene's upcoming album, "When The Sun Goes Down," which comes out June 28. Britney Spears actually co-wrote the song. Give it a listen now:

Selena Gomez is back on the road, performing for fans across the country and promoting her upcoming film, Monte Carlo.

But many are still wondering about the star's hospitalization last week, unsure if she was suffering from malnourishment, high blood pressure, an iron deficiency or something else.

In an interview with a Texas radio show yesterday, though, Gomez blamed the problem on her junk food habit.

"The problem is I don’t eat right," she said. "I love everything that’s possibly not good for me... I love M&Ms, Kit Kats, Snickers and Goobers at the movies."

Selena Gomez really has to take it easy.

The 18-year old was hospitalized last week for high blood pressure and exhaustion, and it's easy to understand why. Just take a look at her schedule:

Gomez has been promoting the movie Monte Carlo and hyping a new single, both of which involve giving multiple interviews (she has 30 on tap over the next few days) and multiple performances. She also has to deal with crazy Justin Bieber fans.

"She is one of the hardest working people in show business, but now even Selena knows she needs to slow down," an insider tells Pop Eater. "You have no idea how much work goes into promoting a record or a film."

Selena Gomez said she was feeling better yesterday, following a couple stops in the hospital over the weekend.

Then, the young singer went out and proved it.

After being forced to postpone a performance at the Santa Monica Mall on Friday, Gomez took to the stage last night, thanked fans for coming, told them "I love you very much" and performed a couple hits.

So, what caused Selena to spend a couple days under doctors' care?

"I was just very malnourished, so I was low on iron and exhausted," she told reporters.

So glad to see Gomez is feeling better, and let's hope this puts an end to those silly pregnancy rumors.
