Sean Lowe's stint on The Bachelor clearly worked out for the best, but it's also not what he is all about, the newly-married star says in a new video.

Featured in a 12-minute short film for the Christian nonprofit I Am Second, Lowe says he worried that he was going against his faith by dating 25 women at once.

He started as a contestant on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette; His sister, Shay, applied on his behalf; he himself was resistant to the idea.

"Never in a million years did I think I would do a cheesy reality TV show about love," the Texan says, noting that it definitely changed for him, and soon.

"After about four or five weeks of getting to spend time with the Bachelorette, I thought, 'I kind of like being around her,'" he recalls of falling for Emily Maynard.

"'Wow, I'm actually developing feelings for this girl when there are all these cameras around. This is kinda nuts. I can see myself being her husband.'"

Dreams do come true. At least 10-20 percent of the time.

Fans know that a final rose does not guarantee a lifetime of happiness, but The Bachelor has produced some couples that have stood the test of time. At least lately.

And with Juan Pablo Galavis' season in full swing, ABC caught us up on some of its recent success stories as part of its "Juan-uary" series of Sunday specials.

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici are set to tie the knot next weekend. They were one of the duos featured on The Bachelor: Bachelor Love Stories last night.

The others:

Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum
Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum are married. He won her heart on The Bachelorette.

  • Trista Rehn married fireman Ryan Sutter in a ceremony that was televised in 2003. Still the gold standard for the show, over a decade later.
  • Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried. The most recent Bachelorette picked Chris at the end of Season 9 last year. They're still engaged.
  • Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum. After she chose J.P. on The Bachelorette Season 7 finale, Ashley married J.P. in December 2012.
  • Molly and Jason Mesnick. Jason was engaged to Melissa Rycroft, but dumped her for runner-up (and now-wife) Molly on the After the Final Rose special. Close enough.

Will Juan Pablo end up in the success or failure column? The Bachelor spoilers shed some light on that if you're interested ... but the odds are not good.

That's like five success stories in like 27 seasons. Just saying.

Are Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried upset at having to put off their dream wedding - at least if they want it on TV - because of Sean Lowe?

Chris Siegfried and Desiree Hartsock Engagement

The Bachelorette starlet, who accepted Chris' proposal just a few months after Sean sent her packing on The Bachelor, is on cloud nine these days.

At least she wants us to believe that, no matter many critics have been shutting down her relationship. Des is always one to stick up for herself.

The latest hiccup in their relationship comes not from Twitter gossip, however, but from planning their special day and whether to have it on ABC.

Hartsock and Siegfried initially showed interest in a summer wedding, however, it appears they will have to wait a bit longer before tying the knot.

Sean Lowe may have found true love with Catherine Giudici, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t wish Desiree Hartsock the best in her new quest for love.

He has an opinion on who she should pick, too: Bryden Vukasin!

Sean says he and Catherine Giudici are both big fans of Bry.

"Catherine and I watched the first two episodes. I think so far Desiree is doing a great job. Catherine and I both like Bryden, the military guy," he said.

"He seems the most normal, like a man’s man, whereas, I think at least in the first few episodes, so many of those guys were caught up in the drama already."

The Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live the other night, and it was a bit awkward ... which is standard for Des.

Still, it began to encroach into awkward awkward ... not cute awkward.

Obviously, she's not gonna give away The Bachelorette spoilers or anything. But when Jimmy started asking her about Sean Lowe? A tad uncomfortable:

She'd "probably" have accepted his proposal? Seriously?

Maybe she's just being honest and was that into the guy, but you have to wonder from a girl who just came off her very own special journey for love on ABC.

Was the Bachelorette wedding special featuring Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum faked? None other than Sean Lowe has inadvertently prompted that speculation.

The Bachelor's will-be star went to the Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum nuptials December 1 ... or did he? After the wedding, he wrote the following Tweet:

Sean Lowe, Bachelor Photo

“@JP_Rosenbaum @jason_mesnick Lol! I forgot to say thanks for plugging my abs. And JP hope to meet you soon bud,” Sean Lowe sent on December 17.

That's 16 days after he attended the wedding and a day after ABC aired it.

It's become all but certain that a memorable star from a previous season is chosen for the upcoming season of ABC's The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.

This year gave us two very popular candidates in Arie Luyendyk, Jr., and Sean Lowe, both of whom lost to Jef Holm in the Emily Maynard sweepstakes.

Arie and Sean would both be slam-dunk picks for the network, while Roberto Martinez - The Bachelorette winner in 2010 - is said to be out of the mix.

That leaves Arie Luyendyk, Jr., and Sean Lowe as co-frontrunners. Which of the two would you prefer to see this winter? Vote below!

And the Winner is?

Who should be the next Bachelor, Arie Luyendyk, Jr. or Sean Lowe? Both 2012 Bachelorette finalists would be worthy ... but only one can be picked! View Poll »

Here's a rumor everyone could've seen coming after Monday night.

After Sean Lowe's surprising elimination from The Bachelorette, the insurance agent and former Texas A&M football player, 28, is already in discussions to be the next Bachelor, according to Hollywood Life and other sources.

“Sean was approached by ABC to be The Bachelor,” says an insider.

Sean Lowe, Emily Maynard

For good reason. As a handsome, smart and family-oriented individual, he would have little trouble attracting viewers - or prospective Bachelorettes.

But does he even want the role? “He’s interested, but not sure. I wouldn’t be surprised if you see him on The Bachelor next season,” says a source.

He'll have some competition if he does want it. Roberto Martinez has also been mentioned as a candidate, and this summer's runner-up will be too.

After Emily Maynard picks Arie Luyendyk or Jef Holm - see The Bachelorette spoilers if you want to know who - another strong candidate will emerge.

Did she make the right move telling Sean go?

Who should she choose on the July 22 finale?

Sean Lowe says he was absolutely crushed by his elimination on The Bachelorette Monday night, and was totally planning to propose to Emily Maynard.

In one of the most heartbreaking eliminations in show history, Emily gave Jef Holm and Arie Luyendyk Jr. roses and said goodbye to a devastated Sean.

"I'm not sure what to say," a teary Sean told her. "I feel kind of stupid. Only because I knew with certainty that I was ready to spend forever with you."

"I just didn't see this coming... obviously. I think you should know it's going to hurt me," he added as Emily Maynard broke down in tears, once again.

"I'm going to miss you more than you know. I care about you, ultimately, and if this is the best for you, than you have to do what's best for you."

The decision was clearly tough on her as well.

"I want you to know, I wanted it to be you, so bad. So, so bad ... I'm really going to miss you and I have loved every minute I've had with you."

Now that the shock of his elimination is over and he's spent some time away from the cameras, Sean Lowe admits he wouldn't "change a thing."

"Wow! Thanks so much to everyone who sent love my way," the 28-year-old Tweeted. "Emily is such an amazing girl and I wouldn't change a thing."

"I am so very blessed."

The question is ... did Emily make the right call letting him go?

The other question is ... with Sean out of the picture for better or worse, who will win the final rose (see Bachelorette spoilers if you dare) July 22?

The Bachelorette: Mom Edition is clearly very different than past seasons.

Not only is Emily Maynard willing to forgo the Fantasy Suite in an effort to set the best example for her daughter, it's little Ricki who shapes her view in the decision-making process, as we saw last night when a teary Emily picked her final two.

On The Bachelorette season finale, it only gets harder. Here's ABC's promo:

Will it be Jef Holm or Arie Luyendyk, Jr.? The Bachelorette spoilers shed some light on that if you're interested. Either way, we'll know for sure soon enough.

Can a person be in love with two people at the same time? Or three? That seems to be the case for Emily, and guarantees the finale will be gut-wrenching.

Who do you think she should choose? Sound off in the comments below, and vote in our twofold survey in the aftermath of last night's Sean Lowe elimination:

Was Emily right to let Sean go?
