The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has now officially ruled the shooting death of actor Mark Ruffalo's brother, Scott Ruffalo as a homicide.

Beverly Hills police arrested - and later released - Shaha Mishaal Adham, whose lawyer had claimed Scott was killed playing Russian roulette.

Ronald Richards, an attorney who represents Adham, told the press, "I have not been informed by police that my client is again at all a suspect."

Brian Scofield was also considered a person of interest but not charged.

There was also another person, Kristian Muradaz, who was arrested and released. Police have yet to release a motive for the death of Scott Ruffalo.

The shooting death of Mark Ruffalo's brother, Scott, does not smell like a suicide or accidental death, according to TMZ, which cites law enforcement sources.

When cops arrived at the scene of Scott Ruffalo's shooting, they recovered two loaded guns. Law enforcement officials also say that the call they received originally was to respond to an assault, not a suicide or accidental death.

Shaha Mishaal Adham, the woman who was in Scott's apartment at the time of the shooting, said Scott was playing Russian Roulette because he was "crazy."

But cops aren't necessarily buying Adham's R.R. theory. For starters, who shoots himself in the back of the head when they're playing Russian Roulette?

  • Brian Scofield
  • Shaha Mishaal Adham

A warrant was issued for Adham, but she was released after questioning. Could there have been a mystery person or persons involved? Does her story not add up?

Police sources say that the paramedics didn't even know Scott Ruffalo was shot until he was on his way to the hospital. They say the wound was not apparent.

As for Shaha Mishaal Adham and her boyfriend, Brian Scofield, they say they have been "vilified" and the truth will come out, acknowledging there was indeed a mystery third person in the apartment. So stay tuned ...

Shaha Mishaal Adham has been released by the Beverly Hills Police Department and cleared of any wrongdoing in the death of Scott Ruffalo as of early this morning.

Adham, 26, said through her attorney that she saw Mark Ruffalo's brother accidentally shoot himself while retrieving her keys from his place - and fled the scene.

She told police Scott Ruffalo died during a game of Russian Roulette. Shaha Mishaal Adham went to his apartment to pick up her Land Rover, which he borrowed.

We've learned there was a mystery person also present (NOT Brian Scofield, the man who was named a "person of interest' in the case) during the deadly game.

  • Brian Scofield
  • Shaha Mishaal Adham

We're told after Scott shot himself, Adham bolted and called her boyfriend, Brian Scofield, who called 911. Ruffalo died yesterday after a week in critical condition.

No word if police are closing the investigation, but a rep for Mark Ruffalo released the following statement on behalf of the family, concerning the death of Scott.
