Sarah Palin is busy eating pizza with Donald Trump and fueling rumors of a possible presidential run as she embarks on a bus tour across the eastern U.S.

Among the many people questioning her motives is Stephen Colbert, who questioned last night on The Colbert Report, “Why is this happening!?”

According to Sarah’s website, which Stephen pointed out, the former governor of Alaska is promoting “the fundamental restoration of America.”

Sarah commented that even her youngest daughter, Piper, has been filled with the spirit of their journey, in particular with the work of our first president, George Washington, who worked “so hard to keep his farm running.”

“It’s true,” Colbert agreed. “I cannot imagine how hard he worked with no help other than his African volunteers.” Watch Stephen's full tirade:

In the greatest meeting of political minds since ... you know what, it's not important. But Donald Trump and Sarah Palin met at a pizza joint in NYC yesterday!

Trump loves the former Alaska Governor, too. Mostly because she loves him so much, or so he claims in gushing about his favorite topic (himself) to Fox.

Palin would "love" for Trump to run for president in the next election cycle, he claimed on Fox & Friends this morning. Here's one of his choice quotes:

Trump met Palin during her stop in New York City. The Thrilla From Wasilla kicked off a tour of the eastern U.S. at the Rolling Thunder rally last weekend.

Both big-name Republicans have been talked about as presidential hopefuls, though Trump recently bowed out and Palin doesn't appear interested.

Like Trump, she basks in the attention, but you can get that merely by acting like you might entertain the idea of running, so why actually bother?

In any case, the admiration is mutual. Trump called Sarah Palin a "terrific woman and a terrific friend" who he hoped would seek the GOP nomination.

Someone start printing the Palin-Trump 2012 t-shirts!!

And... Sarah Palin is off!

The former Vice Presidential (and future Presidential?) candidate kicked off a tour of the country yesterday by participating in the annual Rolling Thunder ride-along in Washington, D.C. yesterday.

Sarah Palin in Leather

Donning a black jacket - and asking bikers how they stay cool in leather - Palin hopped aboard a motorcycle (she's just so American!) and joined many others in a ride from the Pentagon to the Vietnam Veterans' memorial.

Sarah Palin may have be relocating to Arizona to set up a hub from which to run for president next year ... and/or to keep tabs on her daughter.

The politician is reportedly furious at the fact that Bristol Palin and Kyle Massey, who met on Dancing with the Stars last year, are in a relationship.

Bristol and Kyle are set to appear in a reality show on the BIO Channel, chronicling their efforts to set up a charity alongside Kyle's brother, Chris.

  • Bristol Palin Smiles
  • K-Massey

Reports say the couple's growing relationship sparked the idea for the show - and to say Sarah Palin isn't pleased would be an understatement.

She is convinced it will affect her family's reputation, as Bristol is on the rebound from her ex-boyfriend, Alaskan pipeline worker Gino Paoletti.

Before that, she had volatile relationship (and baby) with Levi Johnston.

A source said: "Sarah is furious at Bristol for going so quickly from man to man" and is doing her best to put the kibosh on the relationship.

That meddling has put a frown on Bristol Palin's new face.

Is the Thrilla From Wasilla about to be the ... something from Scottsdale?

Sarah Palin is reportedly purchasing a home in Arizona, reports say, sparking renewed speculation that she's leaving Alaska for "away," a.k.a. the lower 48.

Two local television stations obtained video of what appear to be Todd and Sarah Palin outside the luxurious new digs. The reason for the alleged move?

Insiders have long acknowledged - and continue to do so in conversations - that Arizona would be a perfect place to base a 2012 presidential campaign.

S 2 the P

Distance and flying time make Alaska an impossible hub for such an effort, but regardless of whether she runs, Scottsdale makes sense for other reasons.

The city offers a good launching pad from which to hit the speaking circuit and, eventually, the trail for whichever candidate she backs in the GOP primary.

Daughter Bristol Palin is also set up in nearby Maricopa, where she'll be going to school and filming her new reality show with Kyle Massey and his brother.

So will Sarah really move to AZ - and will she really get in the race? Even her staff seems unsure which way she's leaning. You tell us: Should Palin run?

Frank Bailey, a former member of Sarah Palin's inner circle, has written a scathing tell-all book about the former Alaska governor turned professional celebrity.

Among many other things, he says Palin was ready to quit as governor months before she resigned and was eager to leave office for more lucrative options.

"In 2009 I had the sense if she made it to the White House and I had stayed silent, I could never forgive myself," Frank Bailey told The Associated Press.

Blind Allegiance

Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin: A Memoir of Our Tumultuous Years, due out Tuesday, is based on thousands of emails Bailey kept during his time with Palin.

It began with working on her 2006 gubernatorial campaign and continued through a failed run for vice president in 2008 and her brief stint as governor.

The Alaska attorney general's office has said it's investigating Bailey's use of emails and whether executive ethics laws bar him from profiting from them.

In any case, Blind Allegiance bolsters the perception of Sarah Palin as self-serving, casting Bailey as her enforcer - doing the dirty work, no questions asked.

Track Palin, the oldest child of Todd and Sarah Palin, just married his high school sweetheart, Britta Hanson, in a small ceremony in Hatcher Pass, Alaska.

"Our families couldn't be happier!" the Hansons and Palins told People.

"These are two hard working, humble, active, studious young adults who have grown up together. We're tickled that after two decades of friendship we proudly witnessed their marriage, knowing their new life together will be blessed."

The couple will have a larger wedding this winter "when extended family and friends from the Lower 48 can travel north for a long ski weekend," says the statement from Sarah and Todd Palin and the Rev. Duane and Elizabeth Hanson.

"The Hanson and Palin families are ecstatic and proud that Britta and Track married in one of our favorite spots in America, spectacular Hatcher Pass, Alaska. It's a site we've all shared fun memories of skiing, snowboarding, hiking and snowmachining."

With his recent comment that Sarah Palin is profoundly stupid - his words - Chris Matthews is not showing any indications of dialing back his fiery rhetoric.

The host of MSNBC's Hardball took a shot at the ex-Alaska Governor Tuesday while discussing the presidential prospects of another Republican woman.

While talking about Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann’s shot at the 2012 GOP nod, Matthews was told by a guest analyst not to count out Sarah Palin.

He found that idea laughable, to say the least.

“I think Sarah Palin proved herself to be - I think she’s proven herself to be profoundly stupid,” Matthews said to applause on-location in Los Angeles.

“Her inability to answers the questions of Katie Couric, her inability of even now to explain if she ever reads anything... her absolute failure to begin studying and get serious about running for president,” he continued.

“She has shown no effort to doing any homework or understanding issues about the economy or science or the world. No effort and she’s running for president? I don’t believe she would be at all helpful to our republic.”

Well that leaves clears up where Chris stands. We're not even gonna touch this.

You gotta love the title and COVER of Levi Johnston's forthcoming, thought-provoking memoir, Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin's Crosshairs.

If nothing else. the guy credit for his sense of humor.

It's hard not to look at the pic below and not laugh. Hopefully whoever Levi got to ghost-write this (he's not the sharpest tool in the shed) does it justice:

Levi Johnston Book Cover

The official teaser on the inside of the book jacket reads as such:

"He got naked and got inside Bristol Palin. Then he got naked in Playgirl. Now it's time for Levi to get you the naked TRUTH about Sarah Palin. Respect."

Just kidding. We made that up. But you have to admit, as far as memoirs from guys most famous for mistreating the women who made them famous go, Levi's already beats the heck out of Jesse James' American Outlaw.

Why even try to appear sympathetic or serious. At least Levi Johnston embraces what he is - and his adventures with the Palins do need to be cataloged.

Former half-term governor and current famous person Sarah Palin slammed Michelle Obama on Twitter today for inviting Common to the White House.

Her beef? Palin and some others aren't thrilled that the rapper and actor promotes healthy diets once rhymed about burning President George W. Bush.

"Oh lovely, White House," tweeted the ex-veep hopeful, making sarcastic reference to a story on Common and Michelle Obama in the Daily Caller.

Palin Common

The conservative website resurrected a Common aimed at Dubya by transcribing lyrics from a 2007 YouTube video of a past performance of "Letter to the Law."

"Seeing a fiend being hung/With that happening, why they messing with Saddam?/Burn a Bush 'cause for peace he no push no button," goes the song.

Common continues: "Killing over oil and grease/no weapons of destruction/How can we follow a leader when this a corrupt one."
