In the new issue of Newsweek, Sarah Palin says in no uncertain terms that she can win a national election. Of course, she hasn't decided if she'll try to prove it.

"I believe that I can win a national election," she says, adding that she firmly believes Americans are "desperate" and "deserving" of "positive change."

"I'm not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around, but I do believe that I can win."

Palin: I Can Win!

This week's Newsweek cover story on the ex-Alaska Governor comes shortly after the release of the erroneously-titled documentary about her, The Undefeated.

Sarah revealed that her daughter, Bristol Palin, wants her to run for president in 2012, "but we're still thinking about it; I'm still thinking about it," she said.

Palin said the "deal killer" would be if her family told her not to.

Her husband, Todd, says it's "up to her. I mean, we'll discuss it. But she's definitely qualified to run this country. And she's a got a fire in the belly to serve."

Or to tease the possibility of a presidential bid as long as humanly possible, keeping her profile high and ego stroked without actually having to do work.

That's our guess. Especially since Michele Bachmann, who appeals to many in the pro-Palin camp and is arguably more qualified, is already running hard.

What do you think? Should Palin run in '12?

Daughter. Wife. Mother. Warrior.

With a tagline like this, and quotes such as “She’s like a marine. She runs towards the danger,” from rugged-looking citizens, The Undefeated feels more like a big-budget action-adventure blockbuster than a documentary.

Would you expect anything else from a Sarah Palin film?

Of course, The Undefeated is a misnomer, given her losing bid for Lt. Governor of Alaska in 2002, and the GOP ticket that was trounced in 2008. But those are just "gotcha" facts from the liberal "intelligenstia," don'cha know.

The sound and visual effects alone make this an 8.5 out of 10 on the unintentional comedy scale. Watch the lone WASILLA WARRIOR TOPPLE THE MACHINE:

Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin are happy to agree on their preferences for low taxes, strong faith and the need for Republicans to take back the White House in 2012.

But there's one area in which the new Presidentual candidate may bristle when compared to the former Vice Presidential nominee: fashion.

In a recent interview, in fact, Bristol Palin said Bachmann has taken the look that her mother popularized, telling Pop Eater: "I think she dresses a lot like my mom. But a lot, a lot of women have done that the last few years. I do think it's odd, you know, seeing people with red blazers with their hair up with glasses."

Compare the style choices of Bachmann and Palin at a recent event and decide: Who looks better?

Is Sarah Palin bound for the Emmy Awards red carpet? Stranger things have happened. Well, maybe not, but her show was submitted for consideration.

TLC submitted Sarah Palin’s Alaska for consideration in four categories: Outstanding Reality, Cinematography, Picture Editing, and Music Composition.

The Mark Burnett-produced show delivered sweeping frontier views of America's 49th state in all its glory. It also featured Sarah Palin shooting stuff.

The show attracted millions of viewers and considerable buzz. The reality bar has been set quite high for Bristol Palin and Kyle Massey on their new show.

Should the highly-rated TLC show score a nomination and actually win in the reality category, Sarah Palin would be eligible to receive a golden statue.

Emmy nominations will be announced July 14, with the awards doled out September 18. Expect Palin to hint at a non-presidential run on both dates.

Jon Stewart defending Sarah Palin is not something you see every day, but the media's obsession with her old emails necessitated a Daily Show rant.

In a segment called "P-mail," Stewart ripped the press for providing "full team coverage" of the arbitrary release date of Palin's non-urgent messages.

Stewart notes, accurately, that the media harps on Palin for a sense of inflated self-importance, yet behavior like this contributes directly to it ...

It is absurd, really. At this point, all the classic Sarah Palin moments have been found and scrutinized to no end. What did they expect to discover?!

"For some reason, the media went DEFCON 1," Stewart said, rolling clips of news outlets disappointed by an apparent lack of any major scandals.

In one segment, CNN describes an email from someone complaining, "Palin was spotted with Trig in a car not wearing an approved car seat."

"That story better end with Palin getting out of the car and beating the woman with a tire iron," Stewart said. "Otherwise, why waste our time?"

Seriously. She resigned two years ago and is not running for office now. Let it go ... or at least start digging through Michele Bachmann emails.

Sarah Palin has given us so many memorable moments over the years.

Undeniably, her every move is scrutinized and picked apart like no other politician in history. But just as undeniably, she brings these things upon herself.

With Alaska releasing thousands of emails from Sarah Palin's brief stint as governor, we can only imagine what revelations lie in store in those reams of paper, and where they will rank on the list of Sarah Palin's greatest hits.

Sarah Palin uses crib notes on her hand in February 2010.

From her 2008 campaign interview with Katie Couric to her pardoning a turkey, then preening for the cameras as others are slaughtered in the background, you just never know what you're going to get with Palin.

Recently, her rendition of Paul Revere's ride added another historic chapter to her resume. An inaccurate one, it turned out, but we laughed a lot.

What was your favorite moment since she burst on the scene? Take a look back at some epic Sarah Palin videos from the last three years and decide:

The state of Alaska will release thousands of Sarah Palin's emails from her half term as governor, a disclosure that has taken on national prominence due to the media's obsession with her and Palin's potential presidential run.

More than 24,000 pages of Palin emails will be made public in paper form only in Alaska's capital city, Juneau, which is accessible by only air or water.

Yes, Alaska is a real state.

Sarah Palin Shaking Hands

Reporters from several news organizations have already begun arriving and are making various plans to disseminate the emails to the public.

Palin told Fox News Sunday that "every rock" that could have possibly been kicked over to uncover things in her family already has been.

However, "a lot of those emails obviously weren't meant for public consumption" and that people might seek to take some "out of context."

Like the coverup to hide the pregnancy of Bristol Palin and claim the baby was Sarah's own? Just kidding. That was a great rumor, though.

You gotta hand it to Tina Fey. Her impression of former politician and current celebrity Sarah Palin is so good, Fox News can't even tell them apart.

Reporting on Palin's heavily hyped One Nation bus tour, the channel actually used a photo of the 30 Rock star impersonating her in a faux debate.

Maybe they just prefer to look at Tina? Doubtful. Way to go, guys. As if this weren't absurd enough, Palin herself is a contributor to the network!

We haven't seen a move this boneheaded on camera since somebody claimed Paul Revere warned the British instead of the colonists ...

Sarah Palin may need to bone up on American history.

The professional celebrity and potential 2012 presidential hopeful stopped by Boston, Mass., on her East Coast bus trip, and there, in the cradle of the Revolutionary War, discussed one of its most notable figures with some locals.

With her unique, folksy charm, Palin said that on Paul Revere's famous ride, he "warned the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms."

Revere, of course, warned the colonists, not their British occupiers. But Palin told Fox News Sunday that she was in fact correct, as there were British soldiers in the area for years before Revere's legendary ride.

He was warning them, as well as his fellow colonists, Sarah Palin says:

"Part of his ride was to warn the British that were already there that 'hey, you're not going to take American arms, you're not going to beat our own well-armed persons individual private militia that we have.'"

She blamed her first answer on the "gotcha" media. Obviously.

UPDATE: You almost have to admire the dedication of Palin’s fans ... and you most definitely have to take what you read on Wikipedia with a grain of salt.

They’re apparently trying to edit Paul Revere's Wikipedia page to make it match her botched version of history. Pretty funny/scary stuff right there.

Sarah Palin is busy eating pizza with Donald Trump and fueling rumors of a possible presidential run as she embarks on a bus tour across the eastern U.S.

Among the many people questioning her motives is Stephen Colbert, who questioned last night on The Colbert Report, “Why is this happening!?”

According to Sarah’s website, which Stephen pointed out, the former governor of Alaska is promoting “the fundamental restoration of America.”

Sarah commented that even her youngest daughter, Piper, has been filled with the spirit of their journey, in particular with the work of our first president, George Washington, who worked “so hard to keep his farm running.”

“It’s true,” Colbert agreed. “I cannot imagine how hard he worked with no help other than his African volunteers.” Watch Stephen's full tirade:

What I've had to do, though, is in the middle of the night, put down the Blackberries and pick up the breast pump. Do a couple of things different and still get it all done.

I am thankful to be married to a man who loves being a dad as much as I love being a mom so he is my strength. And practically speaking, we have a great network of help with lots of grandparents and aunties and uncles all around us. We have a lot of help.
