An assistant of Sarah Jessica Parker is believed to have shoplifted a pair of sunglasses at an airport in Norway, and delayed a flight in the process as police intervened.

The Sex And The City star and her entourage were boarding a United flight from Oslo to NYC when they were confronted by officials, according to news reports.

The incident happened after an airport shop owner claimed the actress' (probably now former) assistant had come in and ganked a pair of expensive shades.

A settlement was reached and a $1,400 fine paid on the spot.

Sarah and her assistant, who attended the Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo, are said to have eventually boarded the flight and returned to the United States.

Hoping to reach a young demographic, Team Re-Elect President Barack Obama introduced its first national television spot last night during the MTV Movie Awards.

The commercial features Sarah Jessica Parker, who "says you should be able to marry anyone you want" as part of the reason why she's voting for Obama, while also touting how he's "created four million jobs."

The actress adds:

"As a woman, a mother, and an entrepreneur, I need to believe our country can be a place where everyone has a fair shot at success. This November's election will determine whether we get to keep moving forward, or if we're forced to go back to policies that ask people like my middle-class family in Ohio to carry the burden - while people like me, who don't need tax breaks, get extra help."

Fox has announced its 2012-2013 schedule, and the most significant move that stands out is the shift of this musical comedy from Tuesday nights to Thursdays at 9 p.m. It will air in the fall after The X Factor results show.

Moreover, the show has signed a couple major guest stars for the season ahead:

Sarah Jessica Parker will recur for multiple episodes in her first, extended post-Sex and the City role. Kate Hudson, meanwhile, will appear on six installments of Glee. Further details are scarce, but expected to be revealed later today or later this week.

Glee will air a two-hour event tomorrow, which includes the appearance of Lindsay Lohan as a judge at Nationals, followed by its season three finale on May 22.

While Demi Moore works to overcome her recent personal problems, we have an update on her professional life:

Sarah Jessica Parker has signed on to replace Moore as Gloria Steinem in Lovelace, the upcoming biopic centered around the life of 1970s porn star Linda Lovelace. Demi dropped out of the film almost immediately after being hospitalized earlier this week.

Parker joins a cast that includes Amanda Seyfried in the title role, along Peter Sarsgaard, Adam Brody, Juno Temple and Wes Bentley.

Not surprisingly, Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker were the highest paid actresses in Hollywood from May 2010-May 2011, according to Forbes.

Both women brought in a whopping $30 million in that span.

In a tie for third were Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, who both brought in an estimated $28 million in the previous year. Also not shabby.

You are looking at Hollywood's richest two ladies.

Larry Crowne star Julia Roberts and Twilight saga heroine Kristen Stewart both earned around $20 million to tie for fifth over the past 12 months.

Rounding out the top ten among Hollywood's highest earning females were Katherine Heigl, Cameron Diaz, Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep.

Both Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis showed up in New York City last night for the annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. While these two might get along in the Sex and the City 2 trailer, they are competing against each other below.

An Ohio lawman just got Carried away ... to jail!

Martins Ferry, Ohio, Police Chief Barry Carpenter was found guilty last month of snooping around the residence of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick's surrogate mother, searching for souvenirs that he tried to sell to the tabloids.

He was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison after being convicted for receiving stolen property, theft in office and tampering with evidence.

Michelle Ross, who gave birth last June to the celebrity couple's twin girls, was not at home at the time of the incident, but she discovered items misplaced.

Among the items Carpenter ganked were a plaster cast of her belly, ultrasound pictures and various surrogate documents with tax information. Obviously.

The police chief was later caught red-handed on audiotapes recorded by internal affairs investigators approaching paparazzi to hock the mementos for cash.

The policeman did catch a break, however: He could've gotten the maximum of six years in the slammer, but he was also acquitted on charges of burglary.

His attorney said he plans to appeal the sentence.

In 2008, celebrity gossip websites where perplexed by the unexplained disappearance of Sex and the City: The Movie star Sarah Jessica Parker's trademark mole.

The general consensus? Confusion. Why would she remove it now?

This week on The Late Show With David Letterman, Sarah Jessica finally opened up and told the full story of the bewildering "scandal" she terms "Mole-gate."

"I didn't have strong feelings. I didn't object to it. I just didn't care for it," the actress said, admitting "I did it cavalierly. In fact, a family member did it."

THE MOLE: Trademark or not, it is no longer.

Huh? Sarah Jessica then explained that her brother-in-law is a plastic surgeon, and he removed the mole for her in his medical office. Well, there you have that.

Sarah Jessica then joked about a woman who confronted her on a beach after the mole was removed, and accused the actress of getting rid of her "signature."

"I was like, 'My mole was my signature? Isn't my brain my signature? For about the next 15 minutes I thought I make a huge mistake. Can they put it back on?"
