But having her play a role in their proposals!

Below, we meet Matt, who prepares a series of homemade gifts for his girlfriend Chelsea; and Aly, who organizes a group of loved ones to assist with her big question for girlfriend Andrea.

Talk about brave.

At a Florida concert yesterday, Sara Bareilles surprised fans with a very special, very courageous guest: a four-year old named Joshua who was diagnosed with Leukemia in February.

“I want to do something really, really special tonight," Bareilles told fans. "There is a very, very special, brand new friend of mine who has come to the show and I want to introduce him to you.

"You guys are going to fall in love with him the way that I did. Can we welcome to the stage… Mr. Joshua."

The two then sang a version of "Brave" together and we dare you to watch it with dry eyes:

In August, in a very different setting, Bareilles teamed with Taylor Swift on a rendition of this same track.

Taylor Swift took a few moments away from mocking Kanye West last night to welcome a surprise guest on stage with her in Los Angeles:

The artists teamed up in front of an excited Staples Center crowd for a duet of the latter's single, "Brave," an unexpected performance.

How similar is Katy Perry’s new hit “Roar” to Sara Bareilles’ recent single “Brave"?

Similar enough to have some fans crying ripoff after she roared to #1 this week.

"Brave" merited a tweet from Perry at the time of its release this year, as Katy included a link to the video with a message that read “I heart you @sarabareilles."

More than a few of the 3,500,000 Katy Perry "Roar" listeners on YouTube have noted its similarities to Bareilles' song in key, tempo and loping beat.
