Sounds like Lindsay and Sam have even more in common now!

There's a criminal investigation underway in connection with the fatal attack involving Samantha Ronson's dog, which murdered another dog this week.

Officials from the County Department of Animal Care & Control are looking into the death of Tiger, a 3-pound Maltese killed by Sam's bulldog, Cadillac.

Samantha Ronson is the subject of the criminal investigation. 

Animal Control officials will be looking at the circumstances of the attack and Cadillac's propensity for violence, which has been a problem more than once before.

The investigation could take 2-3 months.

Celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson was left "incredibly sad" after her pet bulldog, Cadillac, allegedly attacked and killed a neighbor's Maltese named Tiger.

The smaller dog died shortly after sustaining its injuries.

Ronson Tweeted in the aftermath of this week's canine killing: "There is absolutely nothing I can say that will alter one minute of today, nothing."

R.I.P. Tiger (2008-2010).

"I feel incredibly sad and wish that I could offer more than condolences," she added. "Unfortunately there are no words to describe how sorry I am."

The incident happened near Samantha's house yesterday. Someone called 911 to report that a woman and a small dog were attacked by a pit bull.

Animal Control visited the scene but left without Cadillac.

Somewhere, Bill O'Reilly is preparing a tirade.

Samantha Ronson says music is what connects her with her spiritual side. It's an understandable sentiment, however she may want to reconsider her phrasing.

The former girlfriend of Lindsay Lohan spins at a party called Take Em to Church Sundays, which predictably earned flak from her considerable Twitter following.

When one "fan" berated her on Twitter for "more religion crammed down our throats," SamRo responded, "religion?? F*%k religion. My religion is music, homie."

We imagine she'll be hearing about that one.

Samantha Ronson does not mince words.

Lindsay Lohan, who has been visited by family ever since her incarceration three days ago, received another guest Thursday in ex-girlfriend Sam Ronson.

Ronson popped by the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., where Lohan is confined and living among murderers until at least August 1.

The troubled star was sentenced to 90 days behind bars for violating probation from her DUI case, but that could be cut to 2-3 weeks with good behavior.

Moreover, it could be cut even further due to time served during related arrests. In any case, the actress is reportedly handling things well - visitors help.

Nice to see Samantha and Lindsay on good terms.

Although they had a nasty split, Ronson and Lohan have remained close and the DJ has been by her side ever since she was sentenced to jail July 6.

She even called out Joan Rivers for bashing Lindsay on Twitter at one point. No better way to show you've got your girl's back than in a flame war.

Might a reconciliation be in the works once Lindsay gets sprung? Or will one or more of her cell block mates catch her eye between now and then?

When veteran comedian Joan Rivers took to Twitter to go off on Lindsay Lohan, the star's ex-girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, came to her defense.

The 77-year-old had joked: "Lindsay Lohan said she wouldn't mind being under oath because she thought Oath was a Norwegian ski instructor."

"Lindsay Lohan is so dumb. Her idea of being sworn in is cursing at the judge. I was reading about the Lindsay Lohan diet ... all liquid. 80 Proof."

Those were pretty good. But SamRo was not pleased.

"Hey Joan Rivers you have collagen older than Lindsay, pick on someone your own age, oh wait, I guess people that old can't hear," she Tweeted.

Lindsay Lohan, who dated Sam for over a year, thanked her ex for defending her, tweeting: '@samantharonson thank you ;) I love yams x'.

The alleged actress was recently sentenced to 90 days in jail by a judge in Beverly Hills for violating her probation and must surrender July 20.

Since the judge laid the smack down last week, Lindsay has been seen out and about with mom Dina, sister Ali and "close friend" Eilat Anschel.

Lohan appeared relatively upbeat, saying "thank you" when a passer-by gave her some words of encouragement, but Dina admits she's scared.

Sources say she plans to appeal the sentence, but given her track record with probation and the fact that she's totally guilty, that's a stretch.

It looks like the whiner is headed to jail for at least part of the 90-day term, and shouldn't expect a lot of sympathy from Rivers, who writes:

"Lindsay Lohan had "F**k You" painted on her nails. What people don't know is that the judge had 'Eat me you party skank' painted on hers."

If only Samantha Ronson could say the same. Whatever dumpster Lindsay Lohan ended up in last night, she got the obligatory, accusatory Tweets out first.

Alleging that her ex is selling her out to celebrity gossip sites, along with plenty of other gibberish, the train wreck had this to say to her DJ ex:

• I'm pretty sure that @samantharonson just threw a fit @33years old and my friend tal @draishollywood ... illegally open NOW at this hour
• Asked me, after being here jus 4 Timbalands birthday-to leave even though she stayed over just 2nights ago-tired of @samantharonson
• Playing the innocent card, while chatting to tmz just like my ex-father, when all I've ever done is fall for a girl

Yep. All she's ever done is fall for a girl ... hurl drinks at a girl, accuse a girl of doing Miley's ex, fall in a cactus, and have DFCS officials visit, etc.

WHAT A MESS: We sympathize with Samantha.

This rant apparently resulted from LL getting kicked out of a club (so much for her retirement) last night at Ronson's request after she went insane in there.

Sam's response to Lindsay's online babbling was to Tweet the following:

• "I'm not here. This isn't happening."
• If I sing that to myself enough times will it be true?
• One more thing- if you're gonna be an idiot an do coke- do it outside the bathroom- some of us actually use them to pee in.
• Jack and crack will make for some crazy tweets.

Indeed. We eagerly await her retaliatory Tweets once the janitor tosses the previous night's trash into the bin outside the club and she wakes up in there.

In LOL news, Samantha Ronson got hit with a drink over the weekend. In even more LOL news, Lindsay Lohan is supposedly retiring from the club scene.

No word if she'll come out of retirement in about nine hours.

We'll start with SamRo. Whatever really happened at Hollywood hotspot Trousdale may never be known, but she took to Twitter to post this right after ...

Eyewitnesses say Ronson, who Linds accused of doing Miley's ex last week, was sitting at a table when Lindsay Lohan stormed up "like a bat out of hell."

That's when she reportedly tossed her drink Sam's way.

"Everyone was shocked," says a source. "The night was going fine, and all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, Lindsay walked up and caused a scene."

LOL. No wonder all her friends say Lindsay is a lost cause. The girl really needs to seek help, ASAP ... but maybe, just maybe, does she realize that?

Lohan had no direct comment on the alleged cocktail assault, however, she did respond with what appears to be a retirement from partying (LOL) ...

Yeah, right, Lindsay. We'll believe it when we see it.

Clearly you'd be overly optimistic to assume this lasts more than a few days ... even hours. But here's hoping she sees the error of her recent waywardness and seeks professional help ... without another sheriff's department visit.

We'd call this a Twitter feud, but a feud would imply two people are involved. It may just be the social networking ramblings of a drunken fallen starlet.

Lindsay Tweeted a claim that her ex spit in her face at a friend’s party, then left with Miley Cyrus' ex-boyfriend, who Katy Perry was also "tryin'a bang."

Seriously, she said this.

The nut's exact wording was: "Fun @coachella but tonight @ my friernds bday party, @samantharonson spit in my face and left w/ @mileycyrus 's ex."

That's got to mean Justin Gaston, right? If so, that's random ... and funny.

Regardless, we doubt anything actually happened. First off, Sam doesn't like dudes. Second, she pretty much denied it. Third, Linds is bat$h!t crazy.

Samantha's reply later: "Guess what didn't happen tonight..."

There you have it. Get help, Linds, before you keel over.

Lindsay Lohan has serious romantic feelings for Samantha Ronson. But if it's not for her, she would want nothing to do with the vagina, she tells the Sun (UK).

The wild child says her celebrity DJ on-off girlfriend is the only female for her – and if she doesn't reunite with her, she will make a triumphant return to men.

Use protection, guys.

"I never really thought about women before, it kind of just happened with Samantha. It surprised me," Lohan said of her first foray into girl-on-girl action.

"If I wasn't with Samantha, I would probably be with a boy next. She's the only woman I'm attracted to. We love each other. We might reconcile ... maybe."

Lohan says she still "loves" Samantha Ronson – from whom she split last April – and, since they live in the same L.A. building, they see each other regularly.

That's not awkward or anything.

Among women, Lindsay Lohan has eyes only for Samantha Ronson. Reportedly, there are even times in which she has eyes that open all the way and aren't glazed over.

The pair had a tumultuous, torrid tryst that regularly landed them in the tabloids. Lohan blames the storminess as having root in the meddling of others.

Her coked-up tendencies couldn't have helped.

"Her family is very involved in her relationships and that was difficult … All the fighting stuff was just because all her friends had got involved and made me an outcast, which wasn't fair to Samantha. I think it was a jealousy thing," Lohan said.

"Mostly it was great. Everyone has ups and downs, it's normal," she adds. "But in front of the public eye they're going to take the downs and make it seem like they're a million times worse. That's something that comes with the territory."

As for the last guy believed to have tapped that, Calum Best? That fling was "over really quickly and not worth talking about. Next!" Burn, Calum Best! Burn.

There's no denying during Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson's lesbian relationship which one acted as the "man." Not hating or criticizing, just saying.

That said, it comes as little surprise (to us at least) that Samantha is being accused of abusing the troubled Lohan during their volatile time as a couple. 

Rumors are swirling on the Internets that Ronson beat and choked the alleged actress, but the former pair said it's not so, and presented a united front.

At least to dispel the myth ... and threaten lawsuits.

"This is become a bit much," Lindsey Tweeted. "Samantha R never raised a hand to me. I never said she did. Enough is Enough. Focus on important world issues."

That's right, because the Jesus Christ poser cares so much about world issues and not clubbing, partying and enjoying the perks of fame every night. Anyway.

Samantha retweeted that and sent her ex a nice response.

"Thank you for clearing that up. The high road was giving me a nose bleed!," Samantha wrote to her former b!tch ... as well as to the entire Twitter universe.

"To ANYONE who perpetuates this rumour accusing me of being violently abusive after both I and @lindsaylohan have denied it: I WILL take legal action."

Nice to see them fighting others, and not each other, for once.
