Samantha Harris Welcomes Baby Girl #2!
Samantha Harris just welcomed her second child ... and her second girl!
The 37-year-old ET correspondent welcomed daughter Hillary Madison at 11:04 p.m. Wednesday, weighing in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces and 20.5 inches long.
"It's a girl!" the former Dancing With the Stars co-host said.
"[My three-year-old] daughter Jossie has a little sister now!"
Both mom and baby are said to be doing well. "It didn't hurt me a bit!" joked her husband Michael Hess. Congratulations to the happy couple and family!
Samantha Harris: Pregnant Again!
She's the lovely lady who delivers the results on Dancing with the Stars.
She's also going to be delivering something else altogether before long.
Samantha Harris, already the mother of one, is pregnant again!
"Being able to hold and cuddle and have a little baby cuddle against you and fall asleep is such a fleeting moment in time, and I really can't wait for that again," Harris, also an Entertainment Tonight correspondent, said yesterday.
Samantha and husband Michael Hess welcomed daughter Josselyn Sydney Hess in September 2007. Harris is almost as excited for Josselyn's sake as her own:
"I'm most excited to have a second child to play with Josselyn, to see how Josselyn blossoms as a young girl being able to teach a sibling all she knows."
"She's so excited. She tells me every day things she's gonna teach the baby."
Congratulations to the family!
Samantha Harris: Leaving Dancing with the Stars
Samantha Harris is exiting the ballroom.
The Dancing With the Stars co-host has announced her resignation from the show. She won't return for the its tenth season, which kicks off on March 22.
“[Dancing with the Stars] could not have been more of a dream job,” she said. “I loved every single second of it and I’ve made lifelong friends at the show.”
So, why is she leaving? Harris majored in journalism at Northwestern University (go Wildcats!) and wants to focus on other projects, such as her correspondent duties at The Insider.
“I interned at Entertainment Tonight 15 years ago, the summer after my sophomore year at Northwestern and I dreamed of working in the same space as hosts Mary Hart and Mark Steines and now I’m living that dream,” Harris said.
Who do you think should replace Harris on the show? We hear Paula Abdul is available.
