Murder victim Jasmine Fiore was living in fear of Ryan Jenkins, the man now suspected of killing her, according to the Playboy model's former fiance.

Much like Robert Hasman, her ex-boyfriend who spoke out yesterday, Travis Heinrich has nothing nice to say about the man Jasmine went on to marry.

Heinrich says he saw Ryan Jenkins hit Fiore and that she felt compelled to hide a cell phone behind his back because he would read her texts at night.

Just one month ago, Heinrich says, Fiore confided that she was "in over her head" and didn't know how to escape her relationship with Ryan Jenkins.

Was she scared? "Oh, 100 percent," he says.

Heinrich says he saw Ryan, a millionaire real estate developer, "punch her in the arm with enough force to push her in a pool," leading to his arrest.

Jasmine Fiore (Playboy Model)

Jasmine Fiore and Ryan Alexander Jenkins married in March.

Ryan Jenkins, 32, remains at large and is believed to have evaded a massive manhunt and crossed the border into his native Canada. Mutilated remains of Jasmine Fiore, 28, were found last weekend in a suitcase in Orange County, Calif.

The violent poolside incident between Jenkins and Fiore came after Jenkins "was just drinking all day long," says Heinrich, who broke up with her in 2007.

He says Jenkins also didn't like that he and Fiore were talking - a familiar theme, as police say Jasmine's texts to her ex Hasman may have led to her death.

Meanwhile, the investigation into Fiore's murder led police to San Diego, where they stayed at L'Auberge Del Mar two days before she was found dead.

The Orange County District Attorney's office has charged Megan Wants a Millionaire and I Love Money contestant Ryan Jenkins with the murder of his wife.

Jasmine Fiore, who married Ryan Alexander Jenkins in March, was discovered Saturday stuffed in a suitcase and thrown in a dumpster in Buena Park, Calif.

Jenkins is believed to have escaped to Canada last night or this morning despite a massive manhunt by authorities to stop him from sneaking out of the U.S.

The 32-year-old fugitive is believed to be a native of Canada.

At this point it is unclear if Jenkins is charged with first or second degree murder. The D.A. will be releasing more information about the case shortly.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Ryan Jenkins.

It is not known what motive Ryan Jenkins had for killing Jasmine Fiore, if he is indeed responsible for this grisly crime. One theory police are working on is that he became enraged at his wife for communicating with an ex-lover.

Ryan Jenkins has been on the run from the police ever since he reported his wife, a former Playboy model, missing last Saturday night. Ryan has a history of violence, having assaulted Fiore earlier this year and a former girlfriend in 2005.

Witnesses believe they saw Jenkins last night in Washington State close to the Canadian border. It is not known if he has been apprehended in Canada or if Ryan would be turned over to authorities in the United States when and if he is.

UPDATE (8:25 EST): Formal charges against Ryan Jenkins have been filed, with a bail recommendation of $10 million. The police describe him as "armed and dangerous." Buena Park police and the U.S. Marshals are still hunting him down.

Police say Ryan may have a handgun, and that Jasmine Fiore's teeth and fingers had been removed, implying whoever killed her wanted to conceal her identity.

Interestingly, Robert Hasman, the aforementioned ex-boyfriend of Fiore, spoke at the press conference on behalf of Fiore's family, calling Jenkins "an animal."

Last Friday, when Jasmine and Jenkins were in San Diego, she texted Robert Hasman, saying she was going to him. It appears that Ryan Jenkins may have seen the text because Hasman received another text shortly after saying "suck it."

Police think Jasmine's text may have triggered the fatal violence.

After a massive manhunt apparently failed to snare their suspect, sheriff's deputies in Washington State now believe Ryan Alexander Jenkins escaped to Canada.

Police in California wanted to talk to him about the grisly death of his wife, Jasmine Fiore, whose body was found in a suitcase in Orange County last Saturday.

Local authorities and U.S. Customs say Ryan Jenkins is now being called a "potential suspect" in the killing of Jasmine Fiore, but they think he fled the country.

The Whatcom County (Wash.) Sheriff's Dept., just over the border, says:

  • Yesterday evening, a witness reported seeing someone matching Ryan Jenkins' description driving a black BMW SUV (he owned one of those), with a boat, in a marina that is extremely close to the U.S.-Canada border.
  • A short time later, deputies found the boat and the SUV abandoned, sparking a massive manhunt for Jenkins by land, sea, and air. Police were unable to find Jenkins and think he made a run for the border - literally.

If you see Ryan Jenkins, let local authorities know where.

Canada will not extradite someone charged with a death penalty offense in the U.S. If Jenkins is charged with a non-capital crime, he could be extradited.

TMZ also reports that Jenkins has ties to an island off Honduras, where his dad, Dan, developed a resort. Honduras provides extradition, but only to the suspect's native country - which, from everything we know of Ryan Jenkins, is Canada.

Meanwhile, an emotional email written by Ryan Alexander Jenkins to Jasmine Fiore less than three weeks before she was murdered has surfaced online.

Jenkins was charged with battery in June for allegedly assaulting his wife, who he married on March 18. The email sheds light on some of their issues.

Law enforcement sources say an active search for Ryan Alexander Jenkins in the waters between Washington State and Canada is underway this morning.

In other words, they think the murder suspect is trying to flee.

Ryan Jenkins, a Canadian citizen, is a "person of interest" in the murder of his wife, model Jasmine Fiore. Fiore was found stuffed in a suitcase Saturday.

Jenkins, a contestant on Megan Wants a Millionaire and I Love Money 3 (and successful real-estate developer), "was the last person seen with the victim."

He has since gone MIA. Mike Milne of U.S. Customs says "air, marine, and border patrol agents on the ground are actively searching for leads," and they are aware that "potential suspect Ryan Alexander Jenkins could be in the area."

Since he reported his wife missing Saturday - after he allegedly became enraged by Jasmine Fiore texting an ex-lover - cops have been after Ryan Jenkins.

It turns out he has a history of violence.

Ryan was charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly hitting Jasmine Fiore in the arm back in June. The "person of interest" in the murdered model case also had a criminal record for assaulting a previous girlfriend in 2005.

The woman he assaulted is Faern Jewell, his girlfriend at the time. He was convicted of the assault in 2007 and was given 15 months probation and mandatory counseling.

He was also ordered to attend outpatient treatment for sex addiction.

A publicist for Jenkins said he intended to consult with his attorney and cooperate with police, and is "planning on meeting with them in the near future."

No one has contacted police.

Police spoke with a man who was involved with murdered model Jasmine Fiore and believe a text he received the night she died may hold an important clue.

The victim and husband Ryan Alexander Jenkins (the "person of interest") were in San Diego for a poker tournament Friday. At some point, Fiore texted Robert Hasman, a former boyfriend with whom she was involved before meeting Jenkins.

Ryan Alexander Jenkins knew of Hasman, and was upset Hasman had been communicating with his wife while he was in Mexico shooting a reality show.

That show was I Love Money 3. More on that in a sec.

Jasmine Fiore is believed to have texted Robert Hasman Friday night, saying she was going to travel to Las Vegas to see him. Later that same evening, we're told Hasman received another text message from Fiore's phone that simply said:

"Suck it."

Police think that Ryan Alexander Jenkins, right, may have seen the text Jasmine Fiore sent to Robert Hasman, then fired off the "suck it" text message out of anger.

Fiore's body was stuffed in a suitcase and placed in a dumpster in Orange County. Jenkins was the last person to see her and reported her missing Saturday.

He is now MIA. Cops are "suspicious" of Ryan but he is not yet a suspect.

Interestingly, Jenkins had reportedly been bragging that he won a boatload of money on a reality show after his stint on VH1's Megan Wants a Millionaire.

Ryan Alexander Jenkins appeared on I Love Money Season 3, which has not yet aired, after his stint on Megan Wants a Millionaire. He married Jasmine Fiore in March after meeting her in a Las Vegas strip club ... two days earlier.

Ryan told several people who have spoken out since he went MIA that he was the I Love Money 3 winner, pulling in $250,000. VH1 has not confirmed this.

The taping of the reality show wrapped around four weeks ago.

The murder of Jasmine Fiore, a Playboy representative who was found dead and stuffed in a suitcase in Orange County last weekend, has police on the hunt.

Their top suspect is Ryan Alexander Jenkins, a recent contestant on the VH1 reality show Megan Wants a Millionaire (and rumored to be among its finalists).

According to police, Jasmine Fiore was found in a trash bin in Buena Park Saturday morning. She was first reported missing by Ryan Jenkins that evening.

The Buena Park PD has been trying unsuccessfully to contact him ever since and feared he may be on the run. A police official said they fear the 32-year-old Ryan Alexander Jenkins, a resident of Calgary, may be fleeing to Canada.

"It's suspicious," the official said.

Police later learned Ryan Jenkins married Jasmine Fiore earlier this year.

That revelation came courtesy of none other than Megan Hauserman, star of Megan Wants a Millionaire, who said Jenkins met Fiore at a strip club in Vegas where she worked as a dancer. Megan says Jenkins married Fiore two days later.

Ryan Jenkins, who was reportedly a finalist on the show, which is airing right now, went right to Vegas after getting booted from the show and met Fiore.

Megan Hauserman says Jenkins was smart, nice and she is shocked by the turn of events. Jenkins' publicist just released a statement saying the following:

"Ryan is currently speaking to his attorney and will fully cooperate with the police in this matter. He is planning on meeting with them in the near future."

Ryan Jenkins married Jasmine Fiore, left, after his stint on Megan Hauserman's reality show, Megan Wants a Millionaire. Fiore was discovered dead last Saturday morning.
