Not exactly. Or at all. But the rumor mill has run wild with this one. Why?

According to reports, author E. L. James' husband Niall Leonard thinks Gosling would be perfect and he is now the frontrunner for the role. Only those reports aren't accurate.

"As usual, it's all been misreported," she said. "What happened is that his local paper ... reported on my husband being the inspiration for Christian Grey."

She's shot down the rumor once before, but Fifty Shades of Grey and Emma Watson have been linked together again ... along with Ryan Gosling.

That's the latest Grey gossip anyway. Emma Watson as Anastasia Steele and Gosling as the titular Christian Grey in the film adaptation of the century.

What does the Perks of Being a Wallflower star have to say about it?

"She's laughing, a little bit nervously as I'm sure everybody was when they read those books," co-star Nina Dobrev told Ryan Seacrest earlier today.

"She would be far more interested if he were playing Christian Grey," the Vampire Diaries star said of Emma's apparent infatuation with Mr. Gosling.

"I guess that's all it takes."

We guess. It's unclear how serious Nina was/is about Emma's interest in the film (she previously denied any involvement), but you're now up to date.

But a random new video has popped up on the Internet and it proves that Ryan Gosling was among the cutest kids on the planet.

Below, we see a 10-year old Gosling enter a Mormon talent show and first show off his pipes with a rendition of Michael Bolton's "When a Man Loves a Woman." He then busts a move to the classic C&C Music Factory hit “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)."

Protesters from celebrity gossip / social media site BuzzFeed demonstrated on behalf of that cause yesterday, picketing outside People magazine headquarters.

About 15 people in Gosling masks voiced opposition to the publication naming Bradley Cooper the Sexiest Man Alive earlier this week, saying they are "devastated."

They've also started a Pro-Gosling People Magazine Protest on Facebook. Clearly the man can make a strong case, but no love for Cooper? C'mon, he's no slouch.

In The Ides of March, which hits theaters Friday, an up-and-coming press secretary (Ryan Gosling) finds himself involved in a major political scandal that threatens to upend his candidate (George Clooney)'s shot at the presidency.

While some have drawn parallels to the Rielle Hunter scandal that derailed the career of John Edwards, Clooney tells Movie Fanatic in an interview that his character and the story at large were not based on any particular politician.

Moreover, the film is more about moral choices than politics.

"We're reflecting the mood of our country and our world," Clooney said. "If the film reflects some of the cynicism, that's probably good, it's not a bad thing to hold up a mirror to our politicians. But that wasn't what the film was designed to do."

"There isn't a person you have met that hasn't been met with moral questions," he adds. "Everyone makes moral choices to better themselves and hurt others along the way and whether the means justifies the ends."

Clooney discussed the movie's complex themes and raved about its cast, which includes Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Based on their respective levels of hotness, this seems about right, doesn't it?

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are reportedly dating, as the new couple was spotted over the weekend at Disneyland.

"They were very playful," a witness tells Us Weekly, which has published photos of the pair together. "Eva was skipping around like a little girl... She would lean into him and she held his arm the entire time."

Mendes and Gosling have been friends for awhile, but an insider says they've grown extra close while shooting The Place Beyond the Pines, adding: "There's always been this strong chemistry between them...this was just a matter of time!"

Eva does know how to pick a man. Aside from looking the way he does, Gosling is an Oscar nominee and real life New York City hero.
