Leave it to Russell Brand to first be honored at an event… and then given the boot from an after-party in celebration of that same event.

Last Tuesday, the comedian was presented with the Oracle Award at the British GQ Men of the Year event, only to receive some flak after joking that Hugo Boss "made uniforms for the Nazis."

“The Nazis did have flaws," he joked. "But, you know, they did look f-cking fantastic, let’s face it, while they were killing people on the basis of their religion and sexuality."

To some, this was a more inappropriate comment that Brand's previously stated desire to have a KKK threesome.

According to Brand's Twitter recounting of the fallout from this quip, the magazine's editor asked him to leave a post-awards party, as the comedian wrote:

“GQ editor: ‘What you did was very offensive to Hugo Boss.’ Me: ‘What Hugo Boss did was very offensive to the Jews.’ #GQAwards #nazitailor.”

Somewhere, Jesse James totally didn't understand why this joke was considered offensive.

Russell Brand recently broke up with Katy Perry.

And, according to an irate paparazzo, a window.

A Splash News photographer, Timothy Jackson, filed a police report against Brand, who allegedly approached Jackson's car, wrestled away his iPhone and heaved it through a window of nearby law firm, shattering the glass.

That's some arm, if true!

Splash has a series of photos showing Russell snatching the iPhone and the apparent aftermath of broken glass at the offices of Deutsch, Kerrigan and Stiles.

New Orleans Police are still investigating, but no charges have been filed and there's no warrant out for Brand. Heck, the NOPD is still trying to ring him up.

"We have had several attempts to get in contact with Russell Brand in the past day, all of which were unsuccessful," a department spokesman tells E! News.

Maybe Russell disposed of his own phone through similar means?

Celebrities 2, Paparazzi 0. That's the score this weekend.

A day after Adam Lambert was accused of battery in a scuffle with a member of the paparazzi, Russell Brand was arrested and questioned by police for the same.

The comedian was making his way through LAX airport yesterday when reports say he lashed out at paparazzi attempting to photograph Katy Perry too closely.

Russell Brand says the paps crossed the line attempting to photograph Katy, and he let them know it. His reward? A battery charge and a brief stint behind bars.

Brand is accused of pushing one photographer and striking others while defending his fiancee, who says the paps tried to take photos up her skirt. Messed up.

A victim performed a citizen’s arrest on Brand and he was interviewed by airport police before being taken into custody for a misdemeanor charge of battery.
