They are more than just two of the funniest stars on the big screen.

Kristen Wiig and Russell Brand are also a pair of sexy folks who refrain from eating meat. As a result, the duo has been crowned PETA's Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities of 2011!

Mr. Katy Perry has a simple philosophy for why he sticks to veggies, telling the organization: "You shouldn't eat animals, it's mean to them."

Wiig, meanwhile, appears to base her dietary selections on health. She told Women's Health this year that she maintains her lifestyle by running, doing yoga and "eating lots of tofu and soy."

She also may have watched her own movie, as some of the funniest Bridesmaids quotes emanate from a scene in which the ladies get food poisoning as the result of eating meat.

Russell Brand is accustomed to looking flat-out ridiculous. In fact, it'd be strange if he didn't. Alec Baldwin, though? We're used to seeing him as buttoned-up exec Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock, making the image below even more awesome.

This photo from the set of Rock of Ages pretty much speaks for itself.

"On the set with the one and only Russell Brand," Baldwin Tweeted:

The duo play a music club owner and his assistant in the film, but we really think they should consider adopting these respective hairstyles full-time.

Katy Perry wouldn't mind ... would she?

Russell Brand flew to Japan to accompany his new wife Katy Perry to her concert there. Unfortunately for the spouses, only one of them was allowed entry.

Katy is in the middle of the Asian leg of her tour and Russell came along for the ride ... until Japanese officials detailed Russell and later sent him packing!

Perry explained that it was all due to "priors from over 10 years ago!" Since Brand has been arrested many, many times, that's a logical assumption.

Russell, who's anything but shy about his past, took the incident in stride, Tweeting absurd pictures like this one while being held at the Tokyo airport.

The British comedian even Tweeted at one point that he was "Planning escape from Japanese custody. It's bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick."

Then, moments later, he followed that up with: "Stockholm syndrome kicking in. Just asked my guard out for (vegetarian) sushi. He giggled."

For her part, Katy wrote: "Of COURSE I ♥ my Japanese fans & the show #MUSTGOON no matter the daily aftershocks or husband kidnappings!"

These two rule.

He may be in the doghouse, but props to Russell Brand. Like an album announcement courtesy of Lady Gaga with no pants, this was quite entertaining and gave us genuine insight into their lives, not just what some publicist tells us.

That said, we hope the couch is comfortable tonight.

Apparently John Mayer doesn't always get the girl. Thank goodness.

As if Katy Perry and Russell Brand weren't awesome enough, the zany British comic apparently rescued her from J-Mayer's clutches at the last second!

According to E! News, John and Katy were well on their way to sexy coupledom when Russell intercepted her at the 2009 VMAs and snagged KP for himself.

As celebrity love triangles go, this one worked out for the best.

It was love at first sight at the awards show. But just one night earlier, Perry and the douchebag met in person after weeks of trading flirty tweets and texts.

"They'd never met in person, and she went to meet him there after she was at a Jay-Z concert at Madison Square Garden," a source close to Mayer reports.

"John thought she was so hot and fun and was into her," the insider says. "They were flirty and all over each other at the bar, they really liked each other."

"They were dancing and it was on."

Russell Brand is pretty awesome, and it's hard to blame Katy Perry for gushing about her new husband. But deifying the man, that we didn't see coming.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand just got married in India last month. The sexy pop star told Harper’s Bazaar: “I always knew I wanted a great man of God."

"Someone who's an inspiration for people and also a lovely husband and father. We’re at different places in our lives, but we can still grow together.

Okay, maybe Katy's got a point. Look at the man.

Of her spouse, Katy continues, “He’s thought-provoking, articulate, a real advocate. I also definitely wanted to have a laugh. I have all that in him.”

Perry, who describes herself as a 10 out of 10 in bed, also talked to the mag about her unique fashion style, body image and what makes her tick.

“I’m kind of a good girl, and I’m not,” Perry says.

Russell Brand and Katy Perry tied the knot Saturday night in India.

The couple "were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23," they said after marrying in a private ceremony attended by close family and friends and performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of Katy's family.

We couldn't be happier for the two of them.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand exchanged wedding vows at a luxury resort, with the backdrop "the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India."

In the days leading up to the nuptials (which you can follow this link to read all about), Brand and Perry have been pulling out all the stops for their guests.

It sounds like the result was a near-perfect event. Despite the lavishness of certain aspects of the wedding, Russell said it was all about keeping it simple.

Celebrities 2, Paparazzi 0. That's the score this weekend.

A day after Adam Lambert was accused of battery in a scuffle with a member of the paparazzi, Russell Brand was arrested and questioned by police for the same.

The comedian was making his way through LAX airport yesterday when reports say he lashed out at paparazzi attempting to photograph Katy Perry too closely.

Russell Brand says the paps crossed the line attempting to photograph Katy, and he let them know it. His reward? A battery charge and a brief stint behind bars.

Brand is accused of pushing one photographer and striking others while defending his fiancee, who says the paps tried to take photos up her skirt. Messed up.

A victim performed a citizen’s arrest on Brand and he was interviewed by airport police before being taken into custody for a misdemeanor charge of battery.
