The pregnant Kate Middleton and husband Prince William will welcome their second child in April of 2015, a Kensington Palace spokesman confirms.

The couple, already proud parents of Prince George, 14 months, have finally passed the critical first trimester, when her condition is likely to be poorest.

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2015," the Palace announced.

As for Kate Middleton's health? "The Duchess of Cambridge continues to be affected by Hyperemisis Gravidarum, but her condition is steadily improving."

Kate has suffered from Hyperemisis Gravidarum, a serious form of morning sickness, for the first three months of her pregnancy this year and in 2012-13.

While still fragile, and forced to cancel myriad events in recent weeks, the Duchess appears to be leaving the worst of her sickness behind her at last.

Is Kate Middleton expecting twins? That's the rumor going around royal circles, for the second time in as many years, and Kate Middleton pregnancies.

At the root of this is Kate's severe morning sickness, or hyperemesis gravidarum, that has sidelined her both times and is often associated with twins.

Twins didn't materialize as rumored the first time Prince William got Kate Middleton pregnant, of course, so it would still be a long shot this time.

But a lot of people over in the UK would apparently take that action!

The royal betting market, which hilariously exists, has seen plenty of wagering on the 32-year-old having not one, but two royal babies come 2015.

The William Hill betting firm says it recently received about 200 bets on the arrival of twins, including "a significant gamble" that was made in York.

That's enough to send the odds tumbling down from 20:1 to 9:1.

"She spoke to some of her best girlfriends after the birth and described the birth as perfect," a source told Vanity Fair's longtime royal reporter Katie Nicholl.

"She said it was straightforward and there were no complications. She wanted a natural birth and she was so happy she was able to have one."

This on top of the fact that throughout her entire first pregnancy, Kate Middleton, 31, only looked pregnant from the front with a perfect baby bump.

A royal aide just announced the joyful news moments ago with a proclamation signed by the doctors who delivered the little HRH Prince of Cambridge.

Well, not SO little. His weight (8 pounds, 6 ounces) and the time of its birth (4:24 p.m.) were confirmed, along with the gender, via press release.

An official gun salute in London's Hyde Park is expected shortly, and the bells of St. Paul’s Cathedral are already ringing in honor of the future King.

Ever since Kate went into labor early Monday morning, Royal Baby Watch 2013 reached a fever pitch outside London's St. Mary's Hospital and worldwide.

Now that it's over, it's finally cause for celebration.

Kate Middleton and Prince William did not find out the gender beforehand, setting off a national guessing game (and online betting frenzy) for months.

Kate Middleton is nervous to give birth. But she's feeling great at least!

The Duchess, whose official due date is July 11, is "full of energy and really rather used to the bump," according to sources close to the royal family.

That said, the mother of England's future King or Queen is anxious.

Pretty and Very Pregnant

"Naturally she is a little nervous about the big day, what new mum wouldn't be?" points out the source ... although Kate is more closely watched than most.

Indeed, last week, media have already set up camp outside St. Mary's Hospital in London, where Kate Middleton plans to give birth inside the Lindo Wing.
