Donald Trump is not surprised, or sad, to say the least, about Rosie O'Donnell's recent misfortunes. He says he's known what a failure she is since the get-go.

If you missed it, Oprah cancelled Rosie's show last week - amid reports of chaos on what staffers called "hellish" set - to her former adversary's delight.

Trump went on Twitter this morning and wrote, "Rosie O'Donnell has failed again. Her ratings were abysmal and Oprah cancelled her on Friday night."

"When will media executives learn that Rosie just hasn't got it."

Trump has been bashing Rosie for years, claiming the former co-host on The View was a "pig" and a "loser" after she called him a "snake-oil salesman."

In the case of OWN canning her, Rosie felt the writers, producers, stage managers and directors were all inept ... and that didn't sit well with the brass.

The brass being Oprah, who hired all those people.

Her attitude was the final straw. One word several high level staffers used to describe R.O. is "bully," something the network ultimately had enough of.

Now that it's been cancelled, staffers from Rosie O'Donnell's ill-fated OWN talk show are coming forward with some great quotes about why it was canned.

“It was such a f**king hellhole,” one former staffer told The Daily Beast.

The reason for that? O'Donnell's frequent, temperamental clashes with The Rosie Show staff. During a taping last fall, "O’Donnell uncontrollably yelled at a publicist backstage because she didn’t like the parameters agreed upon for an interview."

Several staffers were also very upset "when O’Donnell clashed with Oprah Winfrey’s longtime director Joe Terry. People thought she humiliated him when she scolded him in front of a live audience for using the wrong camera shots."

Rosie "suggested he didn’t know what he was doing. She fired Winfrey’s stage manager because she felt he was ignoring her and not doing his job properly."

She was also unhappy with her band leader, Katreese Barnes, a two-time Emmy winner from SNL, as he couldn’t play obscure Broadway songs off the cuff.

And, in what is seen as a final insult to the staff, on Friday, when Rosie's cancellation was publicly announced with a glowing statement by Oprah Winfrey herself, Rosie was not in Chicago to personally break the news to her crew.

Instead, she was Tweeting about what a great time she was having in NYC.

The feud between Rosie O'Donnell and David Letterman has turned ugly quickly. This is where it stands and how it developed:

A week ago, following the announcement that Rosie was engaged to Michelle Rounds, Letterman mocked the speed of this decision during his show's monologue, saying: "The woman she is marrying, her fiancee, was driving... and her car broke down. And guess what happened? Rosie pulls up right behind her in her tow truck."

O'Donnell replied a few days later, addressing Letterman during her OWN talk show with:

"I don't remember making fun of you when you had sex with all your interns, Dave. I didn't do that. I didn't make fun of your rampant, throbbing heterosexuality, did I Dave?"

Rosie then came up with the Top Five Reasons She Refuses to Appear on the Late Show (above), which included: "Not only do you appear to be anti-gay, you're anti-tow trucker."

Congratulations are still very much in order to Rosie O'Donnell and fiancee Michelle Rounds, but the talk show host told her studio audience today that the couple has been engaged for weeks.

She merely chose last Friday to go public with the good news.

"Michelle said to me a few months ago, when we got engaged, she said, 'How come you didn't say it on your show?' And I was like, 'Honey, I don't know how.' I didn't know how to say it," O'Donnell said yesterday.

Joking about a certain Two and a Half Men star, Rosie added about her reticence to talk openly about Rounds:

"You don't want to become one of those celebrities that talks about their relationship ad nauseum and makes it into a fairy-tale thing. And then they go and have an affair with somebody. I don't want to say any names."

Rosie O'Donnell went public with girlfriend Michelle Rounds in September, and now she's reportedly gone public with a major announcement: this couple is engaged!

Insiders tell Us Weekly the talk show host broke this exciting news to audience members at Friday's taping of The Rosie Show, telling them the pair will be getting married some time around Christmas.

Rounds is a headhunter in New York City.

O'Donnell, meanwhile, has four kids with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter, from whom she split in 2010. They split three years later. Rosie then dated Tracy Kachtick-Anders for about a year before ending that relationship last year and moving on to Rounds.

Rosie O'Donnell will soon premiere a new talk show, but she's even more excited about the new woman in her life.

"I did not expect it when I met her at Starbucks," O'Donnell tells People of Michelle Rounds, who she started dating a few months ago. "She didn't look like any lesbian I'd ever met. But it's fun and very exciting."

O'Donnell, whose The Rosie Show debuts on OWN on October 10, says she's "in menopause" and has been having "really bad hot flashes," but her therapist gave her another explanation recently for the heat:

"[It's] because you're also in love."

Rosie O'Donnell will return to television on October 10 with a new talk show on OWN.

But the controversial comedian isn't waiting that long to debut her new girlfriend: she introduced Michelle Rounds to the world last night at her annual Rosie Theater Kids Gala in New York City.

"They met at a Starbucks a few months ago," an insider tells People. "They are adorable together and are very, very happy."

O'Donnell, who has not appeared regularly on the small screen since leaving The View, has four children with former partner Kelli Carpenter. They got married in 2004 and split three years later.

Looks like Chris Brown has an unlikely ally in the celebrity world: Rosie O’Donnell.

The outspoken talk show host said on her radio show Friday that Chris' detractors, along with Good Morning America's Robin Roberts, may be guilty of racism.

That's because, O'Donnell, says, people criticized Brown's window-breaking tantrum on GMA more than, she argues, the equivalent by white stars is lambasted.

“I just don’t know why this kid seems to be held to a different standard than anyone else,” O’Donnell tells executive producer Janette Barber on the program.

Asked if the reaction, which Rosie addressed for the first time because she had been on vacation, was racially based, O'Donnell replied, “I totally think [it] is.”

“I also think it’s why he felt he was safer with Robin Roberts.”

O’Donnell doesn’t flesh out this point at all other than later adding that she felt “badly” for Chris Brown and “mildly angry” at Roberts while the interview.

Given the context, though, it wouldn’t be amiss to interpret it as an accusation of some sort of racial betrayal on Roberts’ part not to go easier on Brown.

Rosie O'Donnell is a single woman again.

An insider confirms to The New York Post that the actress/comedian has split from Tracy Kachtick-Anders after approximately one year of dating. The two were first seen holding hands in Miami in December 2009. Combined, they had 10 kids, prompting Rosie to refer to their brood as the "Gay-dy Bunch."

Rosie O'Donnell is now fielding offers for a new girlfriend.

"They have definitely split up, but it is very complicated because their kids are very close," says the newspaper's source. "They still spend a lot of time together."

Kachtick-Anders runs Open Arms Campaign, a nonprofit organization that helps recruit adoptive families in the LGBT community. O'Donnell, meanwhile, can see where Billy Ray Cyrus is coming from.
