New Moon director Chris Weitz has gone on record: he wants his movie to produce more tears than any film in the history of Hollywood.

It's a tall order. But based on the clip below, it seems plausible.

Moments after Edward and Bella leave the Cullen home - where a fight broke out over Jasper's thirst for Bella's blood - Bella asks her pale soulmate for the best birthday present any girl could ever receive: a kiss.

Edward obliges, but the spit swapping is more tragic than tantalizing: he'll soon vanish from Bella's life.

In this regard, fiction matches reality, as reports state Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have broken up in real life. As you deal with that news, drool over the clip below.

It's all over, folks.

Due to poor magazine sales the pressure of the relationship, a leading supermarket tabloid has invented a new story that reports that Kristen Stewart has broken up with Robert Pattinson.

Water for Elephants Shot

“Rob was talking marriage,” said OK! Weekly's imaginary anonymous source, adding Stewart was unhappy with how little she was seeing of her friends and family. “She told him they need to take a break.”

How sad. It was just two issues weeks ago that this same publication pretended to have interviewed a supposedly happy Robsten inside their home, citing the couple itself as claiming it was essentially "married" already.

What could have gone wrong in the last few days? It's hard for OK! to make up believable quotes from non-existent people to say. But there is good news:

The magazine is already working on a cover story about aliens taking over Kristen's body Rob winning his true love back. Phew!

Don't do it, Robert Pattinson!

You have so much going for you: the hair; the beautiful girlfriend; the adoring fan base; the successful film franchise.

Robert

We beseech you not to press your luck and try what so many other actors have failed at: the studio album. In a new interview with Austrailia's The Daily Telegraph, Pattinson hints that a CD may be on the way.

"I’m not particularly interested in releasing it, but I’d like to do some gigs," he said. "I guess the only way to do that is to get an album out."

Would you purchase this CD?

Among other topics touched on in the interview: Pattinson's parents and his levels of fame. Here are a few excerpts:

On his parents: "They’re always saying I should be really proud of myself, but I say, 'It’s luck, everything is just luck.'"

On his unfamiliarity with the Twilight Saga: "I didn’t know anyone who’d read the book before the film came out. I was completely ignorant of the whole Twilight thing."

On celebrity gossip photographers: "The paparazzi pressure (is hard) because you have a bunch of people who want to see you do something stupid. Sometimes when you’ve done a 16-hour day, you just want to go and have dinner, but they’re waiting for you to make an idiot of yourself. It takes its toll eventually."

Ready to get up close with Robert Pattinson?

Don't break your necks shaking your head too vigorously, ladies.

Shooting Water for Elephants

The actor is featured in USA Weekend, a USA Today-sponsored section that appears in multiple newspapers nationwide. Not bad for a guy almost no one had heard of two years ago.

In excerpts from the interview below, Pattinson dishes on New Moon, fame and life as the most beloved vampire alive. Or not alive, really...

On New Moon: "Making this movie, it's almost as if people have become more concerned with what the fans want the more successful it becomes. The first one seemed more relaxed than this one, and that one wasn't particularly relaxed."

On fame: On his fame: "I'll probably realize afterward how I could have controlled it a little bit more. But I am still like a deer in headlights."

On life as Edward Cullen: "There's something about that character that, for some reason, has sparked an interest in massive degrees in so many different people... If you want to compete with your own character, you have to really fight. I don't know if I could be bothered to fight. I just let it go by."

In 2008, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart posed for a photo shoot with Vanity Fair.

At the time, the actors were almost scarcely known, as the Twilight phenomenon was just taking off and rumors of their relationship weren't making a blip on the celebrity gossip radar.

Fast forward a year, and it's safe to say times have changed.

Now, the recently-released outtakes from this spread are causing quite an online stir. The reason? They may be the most revealing shots we have of this likely couple.

Because the pictures were snapped prior to the paparazzi and tabloid onslaught that has taken over Robert and Kristen's life, the two were unafraid to be cozy, comfortable and adorable with one another. Here's what we mean:

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are notorious for craving their privacy, avoiding the press and only granting interviews when obligated to hype the Twilight Saga.

Incredibly, however, the couple has agreed to allow an unreliable supermarket tabloid into its home and has provided it with an all-access pass into its life!

After Party Pic

And if you believe that, you must also be impressed with how real Heidi Montag's boobs are.

In its latest issue, OK! Weekly claims to have "exclusive photos" from Kristen and Rob's apartment, along with first-person quotes from the pair that provide fans with "intimate details" about how they spend their free time.

Our best guess? By laughing at stories concocted by desperate publications.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart did NOT grant this magazine access into its apartment. But the pair is starring in New Moon and you can check out a bevy of still images from the movie NOW!

Robert Pattinson can't get a date.

The actor may be playing coy, considering his relationship with Kristen Stewart, but that's what he told The Sydney Morning Herald this week when asked how he remains grounded in the face of overwhelming fame.

"I just don't take any of it seriously. It's just a job and while it's a job I love, girls scream out for Edward, not Robert. I still can't get a date," he said.

During the interview, the newspaper reported Pattinson seemed calmer than usual, perhaps because there's little pressure on him when it comes to New Moon.

"I'm not the lead in the second film. Taylor [Lautner] is. I appear in Bella's dreams. So I'm in it but the focus is not on me. I just have significant moments at the beginning... and the end. I'm more of a supporting role in this one, which is why I felt so free. I didn't have to deal with any of the bullsh-t of the first one... I think I did it better without all those pressures."

Alone on the Street

As much as he loves portraying Edward Cullen, Pattinson is setting up a career path that will help him about being type cast.

"I'm lining up so many different films so it'll be harder to just label me the vampire guy," he said, including Remember Me and Unbound Captives (a western set in 1859) on a list of future projects.

There is one thing the actor regrets.

We know how much fans love to comb through Robert Pattinson pictures.

But will they sit for two hours and watch a documentary about the life of a 23-year old?

Revolver Entertainment is hoping the answer to this question is yes, as the company is releasing Robsessed on November 10.

Just a week or so prior to the premiere of New Moon, this DVD will take fans inside the life of a British actor that has gone from relative obscurity to global fame in just over a year.

It's hard to determine how much information there could be on Pattinson, at this point in his young life, but it's safe to assume fans will be happy as long as his face is shown often.

That's certainly the case during the movie's official trailer. Watch below:

As all Twilight Saga fans hopefully know by now, we're GIVING AWAY a FREE copy of New Moon: The Official Illustrated Movie Companion to whichever reader posts the MOST COMMENTS on our site this week.

If all goes well - and so far, so very good - this will become a weekly contest.

Pattinson in NYC

Assuming that's the case, we've likely found an upcoming prize to hand out in the near future:

On November 10, Revolver Entertainment will release a documentary titled Robsessed, which the company says will offer exclusive peeks into the life of Robert Pattinson; from his British childhood through his current iconic standing around the world.

"Robsessed offers an exclusive, insider's look into the world of RPattz, following his path from a young schoolboy, to his early modeling and acting jobs, all the way through to landing his dazzling role in the Twilight saga," reads the description on Revolver's website.

Sure, the actor might seem young (23) for a documentary about his life, but as New Moon director Chris Weitz told MTV News this summer: "I know for a lot of people there's no such thing as too much Rob."

What do you think? Would this DVD make a desirable prize to give away?

From Edward Cullen to... Prince Harry?!?

One of the most unexpected casting rumors going around is that Robert Pattinson is up for the role of royalty in an upcoming movie about Prince Harry.

According to UK's OK! Weekly, the Twilight Saga star and Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint are vying for the lead in The Spare, a film that will cover the life of this prince, most notably his reaction to the death of his mother and his time spent in the army.

Robert Pattinson as Prince Harry? What do you think of this possibility?

Shooting will begin next year in England and the Middle East, as director Peter Kosminsky said of the project:

"I feel a sense of compassion for [Prince Harry]. His parents break up in the most spectacularly public way, his mother dies in the most tragic and, again, public way and everything is picked over."

While Pattinson and Grint supposedly battle over the role, no word yet on who might play Chelsy Davy. Got any suggestions?
