Promoting her upcoming album, Rihanna belted out her latest single, “Russian Roulette,” on the UK reality competition X Factor on Sunday night.

On the show, the 21-year-old singer also announced that she’ll be going on tour in Spring 2010 and that tickets will go on sale in a few weeks.

Perhaps when she does, the past year's worth of drama between Rihanna and Chris Brown will finally die out, or at least fade away somewhat.

The former lovers are hard at work promoting new albums, but Chris' assault on RiRi in February continues to dominate news - and interviews.

In December, Brown will finally come clean about Rihanna on 20/20, which just had Rihanna on. Anyway, here's Rihanna singing on X-Factor ...

What do you think of Rihanna's new song?

As we reported on Thanksgiving, ABC has come under fire for lining up a sit-down with Chris Brown right after nixing an appearance by Adam Lambert.

Likely to diffuse any talk of a double standard, ABC announced that Brown will not perform on the network, and that the interview will be hard-hitting.

Seeing Sparks

The beleaguered R&B star will supposedly "come clean" about Rihanna.

After dodging questions about the infamous beat-down in interviews with everyone from Larry King to Wendy Williams, the "Crawl" singer is set to divulge details of the incident in an interview with Robin Roberts on 20/20 December 11.

It's being billed as his "chance to respond" to Rihanna's interviews ...

Does Chris Brown deserve a forum to talk about Rihanna?

The 20-year-old, whose new album Graffiti debuts December 8, will only answer questions in the pre-taped interview and will not promote the album.

Chris Brown's TV interrogation comes just a month after Rihanna's revealing 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer, which aired on the November 5.

Rihanna talked about the assault in graphic detail, admitting that she was "embarrassed" that she still had feelings for Brown after the incident.

Brown said he respected her right to talk about the incident but wished she had kept it quiet. Will he finally tell his unedited version of events?

In any case, Brown has been laying relatively low, performing community labor as a part of his assault sentence, and focusing on his music.

One is making headlines for simulating oral sex on stage.

Another is aiming for a comeback after a public, ugly break-up.

A third is really, really weird.

And the fourth major artist releasing a new album this week has actually broken pre-sale records, despite having been utterly unheard of just a few months ago.

Indeed, with numerous singers and record labels hoping to take advantage of the holiday season, this is shaping up to be the most competition week in CD sales history.

Adam Lambert ("For Your Entertainment"), Rihanna ("Rated R"), Lady GaGa ("The Fame Monster") and Susan Boyle ("I Dreamed A Dream") will all compete for the top spot on the charts.

And we're not even counting Britney Spears, who is releasing a collection of her number-one hits (K-Fed is definitely not inclued on that list. Zing!).

Compared to what she normally wears - including on stage this very night - Rihanna's red carpet fashion at the American Music Awards was downright tame.

Still, the singer's origami-like black, white and gold dress drew raves from fashion critics. Also garnering praise (from us at least)? The lovely Kristen Bell.

In contrast to Rihanna, she keeps it very simple ... and why not when you're so darn cute. The actress and Gossip Girl narrator looked classically gorgeous.

In a series of recent interviews, Rihanna recalled Chris Brown's assault on her in graphic detail, describing just how haunting and terrifying that night was.

She'd never take him back, she insists (not that the court would allow him to), but she's not completely turned off by her ex - she still listens to his music.

In an interview with The Bert Show on Q100 Atlanta, Rihanna said despite their violent past, she misses Brown, and his songs remind her of good times.

"When it comes on the radio I don't frown or turn it off, I just ... listen. I like his music," she said. "I've gotten over [Chris] but there are definitely constant reminders, and a lot of that comes from listening to his songs."

Sans Chris Brown, Rihanna is all smiles these days.

As for that rumor surfacing yesterday that she's now dating Tristan Wilds, Rihanna says that's not true. So not true that "I don't even have his number."

She says the 90210 cast member did come to a house party she had, and that they hung out, but that's it. As for whether she's looking for a boyfriend?

"No ... I'm a very flirty girl, though," she said, laughing. "I don't think I have the time or the energy for a relationship. It's like another career, really."

After how her last one ended, a little time off is probably good.

When it comes to dating, Chris Brown may be "just chilling," but the abuser's ex is moving on!

New reports are linking Rihanna with 90210 stud Tristan Wilds, following a party the singer held over the weekend at her Los Angeles home. He attended it, much to the surprise of other guests.

"No one knew why Tristan was there initially because it was not an industry party," a witness told The New York Daily News. "But everyone quickly realized they weren't meeting for the first time because they were openly affectionate for everyone to see."

Wilds got his big break on The Wire and has appeared in multiple music videos, including Jay-Z's "Roc Boys." He's working on his own CD and was introduced to Rihanna by a music producer.

"He's a real gentleman," said a source. "She likes him a lot, and it shows. From the moment he walked into her party, Rihanna lit up."

In September, Rihanna was romantically linked to Justin Timberlake. We wonder if he's now crying a river over the news that she's in sync with Wilds.

Rihanna and Chris Brown debuted their new music videos over the weekend - their first since the highly publicized incident last February in which he kicked her a$$.

In large part because of that, the videos are wide open to interpretation and reading between the lines ... and neither are that good, in our opinion. But you tell us.

Below, Rihanna's first single from her new album, "Russian Roulette" portrays her bouncing around in a padded cell, facing off with a guy offering her a loaded gun.

Wonder what that represents? Check it out here:

As for Chris Brown's new release? Well, let's just say that "Crawl" feels more like a PR move than a music video. Cassie cast to play Chris' "ex" in the video? Hmm.

From pain comes creativity. That's how Rihanna described letting down her guard and drawing from a private place to express herself in her new album, Rated R.

"I'm usually a very guarded person, so having to go in and reach deep into your emotions and personal things to say, it was very vulnerable," she told People.

Rihanna said the inspiration for her upcoming album, which will be released on November 23, come from "personal experiences mixed with rock and hip-hop."

Since February, when she was beaten by then-boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna has had to deal with court proceedings and criticism for taking Brown back.

In Rihanna's 20-20 interview last week, she revealed that Brown shoved her into a car window, punched her several times in the face, bit her and more.

Rihanna: Wedding Dress?

Rihanna is speaking out like never before.

She said part of the reason she is going public about the assault in all its graphic detail is to help other women who have been through the same thing.

"I'm really a woman, a human being," she said. "I go through real situations. It's great to have the opportunity to be a voice for women around the world."

While accepting the Woman of the Year award from Glamour on Monday, presented by the model Iman, Rihanna entered the stage and shed a tear.

She claimed it was the PMS at work, and then happily continued to thank her friends, mentor Jay-Z, her mother and grandmother for all their support.

And she actually made a joke, ribbing herself for her ivory Stephane Rolland dress. "As usual, I decided do the tightest dress I could find," she said.

Having dominated headlines last week with her two-part Good Morning America and 20-20 interview detailing Chris Brown's brutal assault on her in detail and for the first time in her own words, Rihanna is ready to get back to the music.

To that end, she made a surprise cameo Sunday night at her mentor Jay-Z's concert at UCLA. We believe this is her first live performance since the Chris Brown assault, and while it's only one song, it doesn't look like she missed a beat.

Check out her performance with Jay-Z of "Run This Town" below ...

Chris Brown has heard what Rihanna has to say about the beating he savagely administered in February – and he wishes she had just kept quiet about it.

Brown supports her right to tell her side of the story, but at the same time is not pleased with Rihanna's interview on Good Morning America and 20/20.

Chris said in a statement to MTV:

"I am extremely sorry for what I did, and accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to grow from my mistakes."

"I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it up to God."

"I maintain my position that all the details should remain a private matter between us," he added. "I do appreciate her support and wish her the best."

Chris Brown Shirtless (Almost)

While not denying or hiding from the assault that left his girlfriend battered and bruised, Chris Brown nevertheless wishes the details would remain private.

In a 20/20 interview Friday, Rihanna offered a graphic account of the February 7 fight with her then-boyfriend Brown, describing what she calls the terrifying blankness, a soulless void that seemed to come over him as he assaulted her.

"He was clearly blacked-out," she says. "There was no person when I looked at him."

Brown, who like Rihanna is releasing a new album in the near future (Graffiti drops December 8) declined to respond to his ex's specific comments.
