Bio
Ricky Braddy received a standing ovation from Paula Abdul after his first performance as part of the final group of 36 contestant.
This shy performer is 25 years old and hails from Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated from Belmont University with a degree in Commercial Vocal Performance. We didin't even know that was possible!
Braddy began singing when he was four years old at his church. His parents have started "The Braddy Bunch" club by wearing shirts with that slogan each time he auditions on the show.

I think that Ricky Braddy (NOT the most "commercial" name!) is the BEST singer, of the group. He, definitely, needs help in the PR area...(a Handler, or Dresser...) but, what INATE talent!
I wish him the best...and, I'm in disbelief that the Judges, more than the American Public, didn't recognize his ability!
Oh well, after the past few years, nothing surprises me!!

Yes, it is completely unbelievable that the JUDGES didn't push him through! Honestly, I actually think he is TOO GOOD for idol; and the producers and judges couldn't find a way to deal with it in relation to their show. In fact, I could actually feel the uncomfortableness of the other contestants when he was flawlessly singing Donny Hathaway. That kind of uncomfortableness we all feel when we are competing/confronted with people who just transcend our own skills; and force us to understand how average we really are. In any case, the so-called judges, as well as the moronic American public, just simply have no clue to real talent. Wow, this guy is the best "singer" the show has ever seen.

Jon- Was Ricky the best "singer" ever on idol? i dunno...everybody's gonna have a different fave. i think Elliott from season 5 is awesome. i loved Melinda too...but Ricky really deserved to go on further than he did. i saw somebody posting on another forum that" mediocrity has it's own fanbase!" anyway, i don't want to bash the voting public, although the results of this show are often frustrating! i wish Ricky all the best!
