Did someone try to make good on that threat this morning in Fort Lauderdale?
Police are sorting through the scene as we type, but here's what we know according to news reports:
Around 5 a.m., a Rolls Royce with a driver and a passenger in it was approached by another vehicle along Las Olas Blvd.
If Rick Ross is feeling threatened by a Chicago gang, he's putting on a good front.
Following Gangster Disciples' apparent Rick Ross death threat on YouTube, he nixed the remaining dates on a U.S. tour with his Maybach Music Group.
Gang members instructed Ross to "cut a check" to GD kingpin Larry Hoover, like now, or else, but Ross said in an interview that this didn't faze him one bit.
"Ricky Ross is a boss. You can't cancel a Ricky Ross show without Ricky Ross' permission," he said, referring to himself in the third-person for some reason.
Rick Ross says he's not hiding from gang members who made death threats against him, despite a video that went viral a few weeks ago and put him on notice.
Self-proclaimed members of Chicago-based Gangster Disciples demanded, on YouTube, that Rick Ross cut a check for GD founder Larry Hoover ... or else.
Rick Ross then canceled the remaining dates on his tour.
The Chicago Police Department took the video seriously enough to launch an investigation into the matter, but no arrests have been made as of this post.
Two separate brawls at 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards have dominated news for the past two days, with rumors, controversy, fists and possibly even bullets flying.
Here's a rundown of what went down, and what's unproven:
1. The fight between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy did take place, with pushing and shoving backstage.
2. The incident with Gunplay and 50 Cent involved 50's entourage, not 50. There was pepper spray involved, with the former allegedly taken down "by a cop."
Rick Ross and Young Jeezy were involved in an altercation on Saturday night - and we have the videotape to prove it!
As previously reported, the musicians argued backstage at the BET Awards in Atlanta, with conflicting reports regarding whether or not shots were later fired between entourages.

Rick Ross and Young Jeezy got seriously into it at the BET Hip Hop Awards last night, with sources even telling TMZ shots were fired between the parties in the parking lot after the ceremony.
Here is what reportedly went down:
The rappers verbally and then physically assaulted each other backstage, forcing BET security and bodyguards for both to step in and separate the rivals.
Police are looking to speak with rapper Rick Ross after a man was shot to death in front of his Miami Gardens home this morning, according to TMZ.
Ross was not present at the time of the shooting.
At this point in the investigation, he's not considered a suspect. Police found the victim, a 40-year-old man, laying inside a gate at the home.
Investigators don't know if the victim has any connection to Ross, but since he is listed as the property owner, cops obviously want to ask him a few questions.
So far, no comment from Rick's camp about the situation.
Ross experienced major health problems last year, experiencing two seizures in a matter of months. Here's hoping he's totally uninvolved with this tragedy.

Just two days after suffering a pair of seizures, Rick Ross is alive, healing well and eating chicken wings with friends.
The rapper was spotted yesterday at the grand opening of his Wing Stop restaurant in Memphis, as pal DJ Khaled posted the following photo of the event, along with the message: "My brother ROZAY!!IS GOOD!!!"
This was the outing that originally prompted Ross to board multiple flights on Friday from Fort Lauderdale, both of which were forced to make emergency landings after the artist passed out.
Ross is next scheduled to perform October 21 at the Tabernacle in Atlanta and sources say he'll take a bus to that concert. Probably a good idea.
Rick Ross has suffered his second seizure of the day, sources confirm.
The rapper originally blacked out en route to a concert in Memphis, as the plane he was on made an emergency landing and medics rushed to the scene. But Ross soon awoke, claimed he was 100% and boarded a second, private jet in order to fulfill his performance date at the FedEx Forum.
TMZ reports that Ross' second plane - which took off from Fort Lauderdale around 5 p.m. EST - was diverted to Birmingham, Alabama at 5:44 CDT due to another attack. The artist was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
Needless to say, Ross will not be performing tonight after all. Let's hope he gets some needed rest.

Rapper Rick Ross is reportedly doing just fine at the moment, despite suffering a seizure and losing consciousness during a flight today from Fort Lauderdale to Memphis.
An onlooker tells TMZ the artist collapsed soon after take-off, as his entourage leaped out of their seats to tell airplane personnel what was going on. A doctor on board proceeded to administer CPR and the jet made an emergency landing.
As he was wheeled off in a gurney, sources say Ross started to come around again.
