Are you excited for Water for Elephants?

In the movie, which is based on a best-selling novel and whose preview you can watch HERE, Robert Pattinson stars as a veterinary school student. He falls for a famous circus performer played by Reese Witherspoon.

He also gets cozy with a lucky elephant named Tai, as evidenced below. Check out a trio of stills from the period drama, which hits theaters on April 22 and which ought to be a welcome opportunity for Robert to prove he can do more than brood:

Reese Witherspoon will kick off 2011 as a betrothed woman.

Insiders tell Us Weekly that the actress is engaged to Jim Toth, a Hollywood agent who proposed over the weekend. Simply put, "they are extremely happy," Witherspoon's rep says.

Jim Toth and Reese Witherspoon

Witherspoon and Toth went public with their relationship in March. Previously, she had been married to Ryan Phillippe, with whom the star has two children. She also dated Jake Gyllenhaal for two years.

We wish this couple many years of happiness!

What do you get when you cross two Academy Award winners with Robert Pattinson and an elephant? The trailer for one of the most anticipated movies of 2011.

On April 15, audiences will line up for Water for Elephants, a big screen adaption of the best-selling novel by the same name.

Set many years ago, it centers on a veterinary school student, played by Pattinson, who falls for Witherspoon's star circus performer. The two actually bond over an elephant, growing close despite the dangerous presence of the latter's husband (Christopher Waltz).

Brace yourself for a love story that doesn't depict Edward and Bella and check out the official trailer here:

Look out, Kristen Stewart. You may have competition on your hands.

Asked by USA Today about Robert Pattinson, her co-star in next year's Water for Elephants, Reese Witherspoon had nothing but kinds things to report.

"I'm not gonna lie. He's a very, very handsome man," Witherspoon said. "He's a very sensitive soul... He's sweet and loving and has the nicest family."

  • The Sweetheart of America
  • Film Festival Pic

Reese also referred to Stewart as "really sweet" and commented on the absolute craziness of working with this Twilight Saga hunk. She said there was "fervor and madness and girls waiting at 5 a.m. on a set in the middle of nowhere just to see him."

That sounds unnecessarily tiring to us. You can sit back and ogle our Robert Pattinson photo gallery at any hour of the day, readers!

Reese Witherspoon is quite confident in her sexuality.

Similarly, we have no doubts about Reese's sexuality.

"I think as a woman, you get older, you feel more confident in your sexuality," she tells the January issue of Glamour. "You’re not as intimidated by it."

"Sexuality and femininity is an accumulation of age and wisdom and comfort in your own skin. I feel so much better now than I ever did in my 20s."

Ooh, that one hurts, Ryan Phillippe.

Says the Oscar-winning actress, "I am calmer; I know who I am. And as a result, I feel much sexier. There’s always going to be somebody younger or sexier."

"That’s why I like to say, and it’s become my famous line, ‘Funny doesn’t sag.’”

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth. Not a couple you hear about too often, and that's by design. The pair keep very private and have ever since they began dating.

Might they have just gotten engaged just as quietly? The cover story in Us (below) seems to imply this, but "Getting Engaged" could mean a lot of things.

Like rumors that Beyonce is pregnant, we're skeptical for now.

Will Reese Witherspoon become the new Mrs. Jim Toth?

Head over heels she may be, but we don't see Reese rushing down the aisle again. Maybe someday, but less than a year after she split from Jake Gyllenhaal?

When you've been through a divorce like she did with Ryan Phillippe, it can't be easy to go that route again, no matter how wonderful Jim Toth is. Just a hunch.

But if we're wrong, an early congratulations to the couple!

Has Reese Witherspoon found a new man?

The Academy Award winner dined with agent Jim Toth at a Santa Monica restaurant last week, multiple sources confirm. Toth works at Hollywood's Creative Artists Agency.

The pair reportedly settled into a corner table at the establishment and "were very flirtatious throughout dinner," said a witness. "They were having a lot of fun, totally getting along and laughing and talking the whole dinner. Reese seemed very happy. She was smiling all dinner. The mood was upbeat and really good."

Witherspoon is the mother of two. She broke up with Jake Gyllenhaal in December.

After long meal, this burgeoning couple walked outside and said goodbye around 11 p.m.

"Reese reached around his neck and pulled him close for a hug," said an onlooker. "They kissed bye on the cheek – but it was a very friendly goodbye."

If we know what he means!

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are no longer together.

We know you're sad. Please, hold a vigil tonight in your area.

The two end things two weeks ago, even as they insisted they hadn't. "They needed time to figure it out and they were on different coasts," a source says.

"When they were finally together, they talked things out and decided they're not going to be together anymore. There are no other people involved."

"The relationship just ended, as is often the case. It just fizzled out. But they also wanted to be careful and private about it because of Reese's kids."

FAREWELL, GYLLENSPOON: Jake and Reese had a good run.

The new never talked about their romance. Earlier this month, Gyllenhaal made headline news when he used the g-word while promoting Brothers.

"I've learned so much from the kids in my life, and somehow they just become the center of your life and the way you look at things," the actor said.

"Obviously I exist in my girlfriend's world and my sister's world in a different way, but it's opened my heart and I want to be grown up as a result of it."

For now, though, it's a return to bachelorhood for ol' Jake.

Contrary to reports that surfaced elsewhere this weekend, Sunday, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have not broken up. Phew! We knew it wasn't true!

Her rep said late yesterday: "It's not true. They have not split."

The actress met Gyllenhaal while filming 2007's Rendition, and the pair stepped out together shortly thereafter, confirming their relationship in summer 2008.

In the April 2009 issue of Elle, the Oscar-winning mother of two and ex-wife of Ryan Phillippe gushed about Jake: "He's fabulous. He really is a fantastic guy."

Couples come and go, but Gyllenspoon remains intact.

Reese divorced Ryan in 2007 after eight years together; they have two children: Ava, 10, and Deacon, 6. Gyllenhaal's previous girlfriend was Kirsten Dunst.

Witherspoon told Parade magazine last year, "Things change ... But your ability to love, that remains intact. Oh, I have a lot of hope for love! I do!"

Glad to hear that hope springs eternal. Or at least right now. Just don't read anything about David and Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, guys. Just don't.

With the launch of her new perfume, Reese Witherspoon is definitely In Bloom ... but can she complete with the great 50 Cent in the celebrity fragrance department?

Reese's new scent, In Bloom, reflects her new attitude toward life, the Oscar winner says, while incorporating memories from her childhood into one special product.

"I thought it should evoke a feeling that was reflective of what was going on in my life. I think In Bloom captures the idea that I'm at a time in my life where I feel confident with my work, my personal life, and that it's a time to blossom."

Meanwhile, 50 Cent is gearing up to launch his newest men’s fragrance, Power by Fifty Cent, which evokes fond memories of marijuana, Hennessy and gunpowder.

Just kidding. The "masculine fragrance mixes notes like lemon leaves, black pepper, coriander and nutmeg," which all add up, 50 Cent says, to "a whiff of success."

“I really wanted to bottle up the rush it gives you so my fans can make it a part of their lifestyle,” he explains in a release. Power by Fifty Cent launches this Friday.

Who would you rather ... smell like?
