Turns out, Fridays are actually less exciting for Rebecca Black than most kids her age. The reason? She no longer attends regular school.

The singer admitted to ABC News in a new interview that she gets tutored at home because students started giving her a really hard time after her first single launched.

Black on the Red Carpet

"When I walk by they'll start singing 'Friday' in a really nasally voice," Black says. "Or, you know, they'll be like, 'Oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?'"

Wow. Kids can be so cruel, can't they?

At least Rebecca has made some new friends over the last few weeks, as well. Among them: Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.

Rebecca Black has a long way to go until she's Taylor Swift. This is true for almost all artists, of course.

But the controversial 13-year old singer took a step in Taylor's direction last night by claiming the Choice Web Star honor at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards. Swift? She only went home with multiple surfboard, including the most prestigious one of them all: Ultimate Choice.

Which of these musicians looked best on the red carpet, though? That's up readers to decide in the following Fashion Face-Off.

Lady Gaga may be the biggest name in music, but she's never one to forget where she came from and who supports her. She spends an enormous amount of time Tweeting with the 12 million (and counting) Little Monsters who love her.

One of those fans, Rebecca Black, got a special shout-out Sunday:

Gaga tweet to RB

In an apparent reference to Black's new video, "My Moment," Gaga wrote:

“So it's Sunday+my Italian mother's gossipcircle reported that @msrebeccablack wears a gaga tshirt in her video. Shine on doll its ur moment!”

Gaga's moment of the day comes on The View, where she will be co-hosting Monday. We'll have highlights from that gab-fest a little later today.

Rebecca Black is well aware that she's more of a punch line than a respected artist.

But that's why the 13-year old has followed up her much-maligned debut single, "Friday," with "My Moment," a more mature track that tackles the topic of bullying and online hatred.

Black, Rebecca

"I wanted people to able to take me seriously because I felt like this would be the right thing to do," Black told MTV of the song selection. "I wanted to start building what could be a really great career, but this industry, it's so unpredictable: You could be the big thing for a month or four months, and then kind of fall off the face of the planet. And I felt my whole team kind of felt like it was a great way to put me here for an amount of time."

"My Moment" is the lead single from Black's upcoming album. It will be released next month and feature only five tracks.

Aren't you the one who said that I would be nothing? I'm about to prove you wrong.

So croons Rebecca Black at the top of her latest single, "My Moment," the official music video for which has hit the Internet.

In it, the 13-year old lip-syncs in a recording studio one moment, while viewers are then treated to snapshots of her life in other moments: Black arriving in Hollywood, Black walking the red carpet, Black reading a newspaper.

The young singer also breaks out a few dances moves. Grade them and react to the video now!

You didn't think you'd heard the last of Rebecca Black, did you?

The 13-year old, who upset both the public and her production company with the release of "Friday," will unleash a new single on the music world in exactly one week.

Titled "My Moment," the track will hit Black's YouTube channel and official website on July 18. It will then be available on iTunes a day later.

A video will accompany the single, one that depicts footage from the artist's real life, including her last day at her junior high school and her hosting job at MTV's recent Online Music Awards.

Perhaps President Obama will cover this song, as well. We can only hope.

Friday is suddenly a lot less fun for Rebecca Black.

A day after the singer's team filed to have the 13-year old's infamous video yanked off YouTube, due to a feud with Ark Music, the production company has issued its own statement on the topic.

Derek Lowe Mug Shot

"We’re disappointed, having been in good faith negotiations with Rebecca Black and her representatives for months regarding any open issues," a rep told TMZ. "There’s been an ongoing, open dialogue with our company. So we were blindsided to get a Take Down Notice... alleging copyright infringement instead of a call or email from Rebecca’s representatives.

"We are going to continue to take the high road and work out the complaint as soon as possible."

Between this back-and-forth, and the backlash against Black in general, the teenager may be realizing that the entertainment business is not so fun after all.

It's no longer Friday, Friday, Friday. At least not on YouTube.

Rebecca Black has pulled her infamous video off the website because there's a fight over the singer's image brewing. Said a rep for the young singer to TMZ:

Janet on Tour

"We can confirm that we submitted a Take Down Notice to YouTube as a result of the dispute we have with Ark Music regarding the 'Friday' video."

Ark Music ran the YouTube account that hosted the video, setting it up as a $2.99 rental. Black's camp was angry over the decision and are considering legal action against the company, alleging it's wrongfully exploiting the 13-year old's image.

Don't worry, though, you can still catch Black in Katy Perry's new video!
