Randy Jackson is one of four judges on American Idol. He's known for referring to most contestant as his "dawg."
This musical guru also serves as the Executive Producer for MTV's America's Best Dance Crew. He has won Grammy Awards as a producer and actually played the bass for popular band Journey many years ago.
Jackson has worked as an executive for eight years, serving as vice president of artists and repertoire (A&R) at Columbia Records for four years and then four years heading A&R at MCA Records. He's actually very respected in the world of music.
Jackson was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
