Well, World Wide Web. You had a good run while it lasted.

According to a music legend, the computer age has already passed us up.

Indeed, Prince is coming out with a new album ("20Ten"), which will be available as a free insert in various magazine and newspapers in Europe this week. A release date in America has not yet been announced, but one thing is for certain: fans will NOT be able to purchase it from iTunes.

“The Internet’s completely over,” Prince told The Daily Mirror. "The Internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good. They just fill your head with numbers and that can’t be good for you.”

Hmmm... if the Internet is over, how are you reading this right now? We just blew your mind, didn't we?

It's time to take a side in this feud. Vote now:

The Lakers are the hottest ticket in L.A. - at least when the happen to be playing the World Champions. Yesterday, the heated Lakers-Boston Celtics rivalry resumed and numerous stars ventured to the Staples Center to take in the action.

For instance, here's Snoop Dogg, wife Shante Broadus and Boston's own Dane Cook cheering on their respective teams. Yeah, we know, it's no Zanessa ...

Okay, so only two out of five of the princes below are actual royalty, while two of them were spawned by the weirdest man on planet Earth and one once changed his name to an unprouncable symbol. That won't stop The Hollywood Gossip from this exclusive photo comparison. We know who Kate Middleton would pick, but who's your favorite Prince?

TOP ROW: That's Michael Jackson's son, Prince Michael II (really), and those handsome heirs to the British throne, Prince William and Prince Harry.

BOTTOM ROW: That's rocker Prince (born Prince Rogers Nelson), who's gearing up for the Super Bowl halftime show Sunday, and Michael Jackson's other son, Prince Michael I (really).

Rocker Prince is apparently playing an invitation only, private event at Club Rio tonight in Las Vegas -- marking the start of his taking up residence at the hotel as a permanent performer.

Rumor (not Rumer -- will that ever get old?) has it that Prince may be out to take over Club Rio (located inside the Rio hotel) and re-name it 3121, the same name given to his last album.

Nothing official has been announced, but sources tell us that renovations have been done to the club in less than a week's time to prepare for tonight's festivities. We know he's been really busy, but hopefully, K-Fed can make it. Mofo loves Vegas!

The club's normal days of operation are Thursday, Friday and Saturday -- so opening up on a Tuesday might be a way for the club to host the concert on the down low. As if Prince has ever done anything normal, or on the down low, so to speak.

You know what would be great? If the Pussycat Dolls opened. Maybe not what Prince is going for, but the crowd would love it. And by the crowd we mean T.H. Gossip. THG + PCD 4-eva!

Quick, take a look at these beautiful people and designer choices from this week's Emmy Awards. Lovely, aren't they?

Sear those images in your mind ... because you're about to see many worse examples of what happens when good people make bad fashion decisions.

Before tonight's MTV Video Music Awards, we thought it would be fun to take a look back. Over the years, this spectacle has led to numerous celebrities that looked far from REspectable ...

Yup, Paula Abdul has always looked awful at award shows. Just borrow Simon's black t-shirt next time, don't try so hard.

Hey, a pair of criminals! At least Martha Stewart looks fairly normal in this dark suit. Busta Rhymes, on the other hand? Ummm ... is that a dress?

Maybe this shouldn't be classified as a "classic" picture. After all, when it comes to Lil Kim, not much has changed.

Consider us speechless. When Prince sings at halftime of the Super Bowl, let's hope he wears a bit more.

The place to be after Sunday night's Emmy Award ceremony? Lindsay Lohan's bedroom. Oh wait. That's the place to be every night. Oh, yes, we went there. Sunday night, though, another place to be is the Entertainment Tonight's 10th Annual Emmys Party.

Stars including Sandra Oh, Calista Flockhart and Denis Leary will head from L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium to the restaurant Asia de Cuba and Skybar at the Mondrian on the Sunset Strip. The theme of the bash? Purple, in honor of the night's special performer, Prince.

Lucky guests (or are they?) can snack on awesome things we have never tried and can't even pronounce -- like ceviche, mojitio-marinated veggie spring rolls, seared ahi, sliders and other specialties from Asia de Cuba chef Daniel Roberts, whoever that is. They can also enjoy two types of ET-tinis: white sangria or purple vanilla cosmos.

We don't know what the hell those drinks taste or look like, but all we have to say is that if there's booze there, the organizers better put a bouncer at the door, because Mel Gibson may try to crash that $h!t. We've got 10:1 odds on him making a grand entrance driving his car through the wall and launching into a drunken tirade.

Janet Jackson, he's not.

Which is both good and bad, for varying reasons. In any event, eccentric rocker Prince is reportedly going to headline this year's Super Bowl half-time show in Miami, with Cirque de Soliel doing the pregame show honors.

Prince and Girlfriend

It will be the first Super Bowl to be shown on CBS since the now-infamous Jackson / Justin Timberlake "wardrobe malfunction" mishap in 2004, the New York Post reported Monday.

It also marks one of the few performances scheduled by the somewhat reclusive artist in 2006. The last time Prince performed for such a huge TV audience came when he appeared on the American Idol season finale this past May.

Hopefully, we can expect the once-unnamed pop star, whose most recent album is titled 3121, to come out with the Super Bowl XLI logo tattooed on his face. Can you imagine if the score of the game were 31-21? Apocalyptic.

Man, that headline was too easy. But we couldn't pass it up once we heard that Prince and his wife of five years, Manuela Testolini Nelson, filed for divorce on May 24, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Testolini Nelson, 29, used to work for Paisley Park Studios, the recording and production complex Prince opened outside Minneapolis back in 1987.

Prince and Girlfriend

The Minnesota native wed his bride in 2001 in a small, secret Jehovah's Witness ceremony in Hawaii, with the Manuela taking her husband's name.

For those of you unfamiliar with the man who once changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol in a show of resentment to his record label, Prince is actually Prince's given name, and he actually has a last name, too -- Prince Rogers Nelson was born in 1958.

While Prince was releasing a number-one album, 3121, performing on SNL and American Idol, getting into legal trouble for painting his trademark symbol and the 3121 logo on the house he is renting from NBA star Carlos Boozer, and making his usual cryptic comments, his bride has been running Gamillah Inc., which houses a production company, a line of designer candles and other businesses.

This was Prince's second marriage. His first, to backup singer and dancer Mayte Garcia, was annulled in 1998 after two years.

Speaking of legal documents involving Prince, Britain's HM Publishing Holdings filed a trademark lawsuit against the artist's NPG Music Club (named after his former band, the New Power Generation) website on July 3, protesting its use of the "NPG" moniker. The company believes it owns license over the acronym with its Nature Publishing Group, or NPG.

Prince's attorney has said that his client's right to use the name is not in jeopardy and that the recent decision to shut down the site had nothing to do with the lawsuit against him. The Gossip has long been an unabashed Prince fan, and while we never wish to see him having trouble, we're hopeful for more news about this eccentric singer soon.
