According to Buckingham Palace insiders, Kate Middleton and Prince William are moving to Anmer Hall to be closer to Will's new job as an air ambulance operator.

While some might consider it admirable that Will is taking on peasant work and devoting his life to helping others, many Brits are upset, as they believe he's both shirking his royal duties and putting himself in harm's way.

And that may be why Will and Kate are moving to Anmer secretly during their upcoming month-long "vacation."

Royal Eye Gazing
Aww, aren't they adorable? Kate Middleton and Prince William gaze into each other's eyes in this photo.

Yes, the royal couple and Prince George will be lying low for the entire month of August, but instead of jetting off to the private island of Mustique, as they usually do during long periods of downtime, they'll "be at Anmer for much of the time," according to a source.

Kate Middleton may be pregnant, but that doesn't mean she's ready to settle in one place.

Reports out of England indicate that Prince William has taken a job as an air ambulance operator that will pay him the equivalent of about $30,000 US dollars a year, and require Will and his family to live most of the year at Anmer Hall in rural Norfolk.

It may sound admirable: Will taking a low-paying, potentially dangerous job that will benefit others, rather than relaxing on a throne somewhere, but many Brits are justifiably pissed that Will continues to shirk his royal duties, and waited until after his 22-room apartment was renovated top-to-bottom (at great expense to tax payers) before announcing his intention to live elsewhere.

Naturally, there's plenty of speculation as to whether Will and Kate have ulterior motives for fleeing the hustle and bustle of London.

Future monarch Prince George, who celebrates his first birthday Tuesday, is seen looking at butterflies with fascination in two newly-released photos.

The youngest royal family member has his eyes set on the beautiful insect during an outing with his doting parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Prince George, Butterfly

The images were shot at the Sensational Butterflies exhibit at London's Natural History Museum by John Stillwell of the UK's Press Association wire service.

He also took the photo released Saturday of Prince George walking (running, some might say, as much as a toddler can do so) in his Petit Bateau overalls.

"He was fascinated to see the them fly but a little scared when they got a bit close to him," Stillwell says of the prince's encounter with the Blue Morpho butterfly.

Stillwell says he kept his distance and used a long lens so William and Kate, both 32, could relax and enjoy the peace at the exhibit with their son."

It's hard to believe that a year has gone by so quickly, but the Royal Baby himself, His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge, turns one today.

Kids. They grow up so fast.

Prince George and Parents
Prince George, now one year old, is fascinated by butterflies in this adorable new photo released by the royal family. Parents Kate and William look on proudly.

In typical British royal family fashion, the young one commemorated his first birthday by posing for an official family portrait, and it was just the best.

Not only did it show Prince George walking, he looked precious as ever in overalls, surely making mom, dad, grandpa and great grandma proud.

Young George will spend his big day at the Balmoral Castle in Scotland with his parents and relatives such as Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth II.

The little Prince also enjoyed a birthday party with a Peter Rabbit (the beloved English children's books) theme at Kate Middleton’s parents house on Saturday.

Prince George, a.k.a. the Royal Baby, a.k.a. HRH Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, is about to turn one. And what a year it has been!

This future heir, possessed of "a voice to match any lion’s roar," according to his dad, Prince William, is not the type to sit quietly and rest on his laurels.

He's the kind of baby who pops balloons, has no fear of strangers or animals, and goes HARD at play dates, holding court and running the show.

His current hobbies of choice? These days, says his mom, Duchess Kate Middleton, "he's most interested in helicopters and anything with wheels."

It's only fitting for a little guy who's always on the go.

As he comes upon his first birthday July 22, the young boy who will be king has already notched several milestones: smiles, belly rolls, babbles and steps.

Check out the video above for a look at some of George's first year's most memorable moments, and scroll through his life in pictures after the jump!

Is Kate Middleton pregnant again for real? That's the rumor going around, and British bookmakers are seeing heightened activity as a result!

Kate, William and Harry

Just as Prince George's birthday is approaching, and with old friend Jessica Hay "confirming" her second pregnancy, the rumor mill is working overtime.

Eager royal family fans are wondering when a little sister or brother may join the adorable royal baby in the palace nursery. Could it be within a year?

A British bookmaker is encouraging that speculation ... or was, until a firm called Coral halted all bets on the pregnancy of the Duke and Duchess Monday.

A series of bets were placed online Monday night on whether Kate Middleton is indeed expecting a second child right now, which makes you wonder.

As in, wonder what those people know ... and wonder who bets on celebrity gossip?!

"When bets come in at once late in the evening, it sets alarm bells off," Coral's Nicola McGeady said, noting that up until yesterday, "It's been quiet."

As Prince George prepares to celebrate his first birthday, he and mother Kate Middleton are featured in Vanity Fair's August cover story by Katie Nicholl.

Needless to say, the royal family looks picture perfect.

Reporting on how the boy upended Prince William’s and Kate’s lives, Nicholl gives a behind-the-scenes look at George’s first year. Excerpts below ...

On George's appetite: While George behaved well in his first few public appearances, he often cried loudly and frequently, and did not sleep through the night.

The baby prince, still breastfeeding, was permanently hungry ... only in the new year, when Kate introduced solids, did George finally sleep through the night.

On their new nanny: Spanish-born Maria Teresa Turrion Borallo spent a week bonding with George at Kate’s family home in March [with] the Middleton grandparents.

Meanwhile, Will and Kate jetted off to the Maldives for a second honeymoon. They caught flak for leaving him behind, but on another occasion, did not ...

New dad Prince William enjoyed his first Father's Day yesterday, playing polo while wife Kate Middleton and their son, Prince George, cheered him on.

In a delightful family scene in the English countryside, 100 miles west of London, George enjoyed seeing the ponies and playing in the grass.

We enjoyed seeing him, along with his mom:

Kate and Son
Kate Middleton and Prince George cheer on dad Prince William at a Father's Day polo match.

As William, 31, took part in a charity match against a team that includes his brother, Prince Harry, George appeared to have little interest in the game.

He spent much of the time practicing walking, with Kate Middleton leading him around a tent set aside for players, and just charming all the onlookers.

At times, the Duchess held him in her arms but when the Prince, who turns 1 on July 22, got restless, she put him down to crawl on the lawn.

Reports that Kate Middleton is pregnant are all the rage lately, but while it seems the Duchess of Cambridge is not currently knocked up, sources say she and Prince William are definitely planning to have a second child in the near future.

"Kate isn't pregnant and is focusing on work," says an insider close to the royal couple. "But they want a bigger family in the future."

Rumors that Kate is already carrying baby number two circulated last week, but were dismissed after Kate was spotted drinking wine in New Zealand.

The anonymous source claims Will and Kate are planning a big family with several siblings for little Prince George.
