Kelly Clarkson is standing up for her fellow pop star.

A couple days after Pink canceled a show in England due to illness, the original American Idol went off on critics who have given the artist a hard time.

“How dare you only work 364 days this year," Clarkson sarcastically asked Pink on WhoSay. "I can’t believe you got sick. That never happens to anyone ….ever. You’re so lazy.”

Do not mess with Pink.

Do not accuse her of faking sick to get out of a concert performance, either.

Ever since she bailed on her April 22 show in Birmingham, England, certain "fans" have been harping on her excuse, which has not sat well with the singer.

In an open letter on her website, she said, "I am a human being, therefore I am able to catch an illness. It is beyond my control. I can't apologize for that."

"And you know what I've been performing through the last week? ROTA virus. Look it up. I challenge any one of you to do what I do while sick with that."

Pink is featured in the latest issue of Glamour, opening up about her personal life and making it very clear why sex is a motif on her latest album, The Truth About Love.

"I'm a reformed slut," she tells the magazine.

The singer - who stopped to comfort a crying child during a set last month - does add that she uses the word "slut" to actually take away its meaning, citing society's double standard.

Pink's soft side when it comes to her young fans is a stark contrast to her tough-as-nails exterior, but the combination makes her pretty darn awesome.

At her show in Philadelphia Sunday, she stopped in mid-song to comfort a little girl crying in the crowd, telling her guitarist to "hold on a second."

"Is everything okay right here? Is this little girl all right?"

Turns out the kid was upset by a fight, and Pink, the mother of a two-year-old girl herself, was incredulous, saying: "Y'all are fighting around a little girl?"

Pink then walked to the edge of the stage, offered the crying little girl a stuffed frog and a Rice Krispy treat to boot, telling her "you look beautiful!"

Audience members passed the items back to her, and Pink just won over an entire arena full of fans (plus hundreds of thousands more online) for life.

In a word? WOW.

She may not have the fan base of Justin Bieber. Or the break-up anthems of Taylor Swift. Or the smoke, bells and whistles of performers such as Ke$ha or Nicki Minaj.

But Pink did have the American Music Awards audience in the palm of her talented hand last night, as she kept her rendition of "Try" as basic as possible.

It was simply the artist, dancer Colt Prattes and some seriously impressive moves. Was this THE performance of the night? We think so. Decide for yourself:

Having a baby, it does a body good.

VERY, VERY good if you're Pink, who graces the cover of this month's Shape and shows off her incredible, slim physique in the process:

Pink Weight Loss

The 33-year old says she devoured sweets while pregnant with daughter Willow ("I ate a lot of cheesecake during those nine months. Also anything sour, Sour Skittles, Sour Patch Kids, Key Lime Pie..."), but has since lost 55 pounds since her heaviest weight.

Miley Cyrus may have received some flak for her apparent Pink impression at the MTV Video Music Awards, but there's one person who had no problem at all with the young singer's red carpet look:

Pink herself!

“Everyone has long, brown hair,” Pink said yesterday morning during an appearance on Today. “When two girls get fearless and shave their heads, it’s a big deal. I think we’re just a little more daring.”

That isn't the reaction many have had toward Miley Cyrus' new hair, of course, but Pink dismisses the haters.

“I think she’s beautiful," the pop star said of her fellow artist. "I think she rocks it way harder than I do."

Warning to all THGers: Kleenex may be required for viewing of the following video.

It takes fans behind the scenes with Pink, as the pop rocker chronicles her time in New York City promoting the single "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)." But it's set to a different track, "Pretty Pretty Please" and it's one long love letter to Pink's daughter's Willow, who makes many cameos throughout.

NOTE: We checked and confirmed, this really is Pink. It's not Miley Cyrus.

Miley Cyrus did her best impression of Pink on the red carpet of the MTV Video Music Awards last night, showing up at the event with her short blonde hair spiked and in a mohawk.

It was a jarring new look for the star, especially considering Pink was also in attendance - and also rocking a very similar style.

Did Miley outdo the original? Will Pink always reign supreme as the most hardcore of all female recording artists? Weigh in now!
