With over 2,100 votes cast, a majority of THG readers thought Madonna's Super Bowl halftime show was at least "pretty good."

But Piers Morgan made it clear during an appearance on Chelsea Lately last night: do NOT count him in this group!

"That Super Bowl performance - it was like watching your mad drunken aunt at Christmas, wasn't it?" the CNN anchor said. "I keep reading all these celebrities tweeting like, 'Wasn't she awesome?' No she wasn't! She was gruesome!"

Morgan, of course, is not an unbiased observer.

He banned the singer from his show last year due to multiple disagreements and incidents, one of which apparently took place at a pub managed by Morgan's brother, which involved then-Madonna-husband Guy Ritchie.

"But at least I've found that I have one common ground with Madonna: neither of us have sung live at the Super Bowl," Morgan joked last night. "She was lip syncing the whole damn thing."

What did you think of Madonna's performance?

America might have talent. But it no longer has Piers Morgan as a reality show judge.

“I’m leaving America’s Got Talent after 6 wonderful years,” Morgan Tweeted last night, following an announcement on his CNN talk show.“Turned out that juggling’s harder than it looks, so I’m going to focus on CNN.”

Morgan went on to thank “NBC, Fremantle, and of course, my friend Simon Cowell, for giving me such a great opportunity. It’s been a blast.”

No word yet on who might replace this panelist, but first chime in: Will you miss Piers Morgan on America's Got Talent?

Sean Penn channeled his inner Morgan Freeman this week.

The actor raised eyebrows by calling Tea Party members a bunch of racists, drawing a stinging rebuke from the national coordinator of the Tea Party Patriots.

Penn referred to Tea Partiers as the “Get the N-Word Out of the White House Party” on Piers Morgan Tonight, saying its members want to "lynch" President Obama.

That sentiment and word choice did not sit well with many.

Said Mark Meckler, co-founder and national coordinator of the Tea Party Patriots:

“I’m fairly certain that Sean Penn has never been to a tea party or met anyone who belongs to a local tea party. I’d be happy to sit down and speak with him if he’s ever interested in really speaking with one of us and learning what we are about instead of just slandering millions of his fellow American citizens with racist hatred."

"While protected by the 1st Amendment, this rhetoric has no place in reasonable discourse in America. Then again, no one ever accused Sean Penn of ‘reasonable discourse.’”

We know where Herman Cain stands on this, but what about you?

Is the Tea Party racist?

Kelsey Grammer was a guest on Piers Morgan Tonight yesterday and spent a portion of the interview hyping his upcoming Starz drama, Boss, a portion talking about his acting career in general - and a significant amount of time bashing the heck out of ex-wife Camille Grammer.

"Camille asked for a divorce really almost the first day we were married," Kelsey told the CNN host. "If you say you want a divorce enough times, you're going to get one."

So why did it take 13 years and two children before this couple split? It's unclear, especially because the actor believes Camille "married me because I was Frasier." He says she only cared about getting famous. Therefore...

"[The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills] was my parting gift to her," Grammer said. "It was my way of saying, 'Look, you always wanted to be famous. Here you go.' "

As a one-time witch, Christine O'Donnell should watch who she calls "creepy."

America's favorite ultraconservative princess/occult dabbler continues to make the media rounds to promote her new book, hitting Today this morning.

In response to questions about walking out on Piers Morgan earlier this week, she called out the CNN host and his line of "inappropriate" questioning.

According to O'Donnell, it was Piers' "very inappropriate, creepy line of questioning" that featured "sex questions that he would not ask of a man."

We disagree. If a male politician made railing against gay marriage and masturbating a centerpiece of his platform. Piers would probably bring it up.

Furthermore, Piers' questions all covered topics in her book Trouble Maker, which she was there to promote. She didn't like them, so she peaced out.

No, not on a broom.

Former U.S. Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell defended her decision to walk off Piers Morgan Tonight, but also responded with a good-natured Tweet after the host took a dig at her past as a witch.

“Ms O’Donnell wasn’t happy about me quizzing her re withcraft and sex. But really flipped at gay marriage Qs. Ripped mike and fled,” Piers said.

“My first ever walk-out in 25 years of interviews ... do you think Christine O’Donnell is going to put a witch’s curse on me now?”

Piers then did the professional thing, inviting Christine back on his show to discuss the walk-off. But she respectfully declined on Twitter.

“Piers, thanks for the invite. Schedule is already packed, maybe another night. No hard feelings, you cheeky bugger,” she wrote.

And that's that.

The sorceress/politician told Fox News earlier today that she didn't come on CNN to speak about those hot button issues, and wanted to discuss other topics instead ... except that Piers wouldn't STFU about sex!

Former U.S. Senate candidate and possible witch Christine O'Donnell peaced out of an interview on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight after a heated exchange.

O'Donnell, who ran unsuccessfully as a Republican for Joe Biden's old seat last fall, was there to promote her book, but ended up walking (not flying) out.

Christine was persistently asked by Piers about her views on DADT, gay marriage, and sexuality, but kept trying to steer him away from those subjects.

"You're promoting the damn book!" Morgan exclaimed after her 14th attempt to refer him to it. O'Donnell called him "borderline rude" and awkwardly left.

If nothing else, we learned that O'Donnell does not condone masturbating. Still unresolved is whether she has cast any good spells recently.

Piers Morgan wears many hats: talk show host, America's Got Talent judge, former Daily Mirror editor. But one thing the British celebrity swears he is not? A phone hacker.

Morgan was forced to defend himself today after Louise Mensch - a Conservative member of Parliament on the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee, who grilled Rupert Murdoch during that News Corp. chief's hearing in London - accused bragging about his own history of breaking into voicemails.

Said Mensch: "[Morgan] said in his book 'The Insider' recently, and I quote, that that little trick of entering a standard four-digit code allows anyone to call that number and hear your messages..."

This is simply untrue, Piers Tweeted in response:

It seems like Beyonce has been around forever, but the singer only turns 30 years old in September.

How does she feel about such a milestone? EXCITED, Jay-Z's better half told Piers Morgan last night.

"I feel like 30 is the ideal age because you're mature enough to know who you are and to have your boundaries and your standards and not be afraid of [being] too polite. But you're young enough to be a young woman."

The artist also hit on the topics of children and retirement. See what she had to say now:

Howard Stern is not a fan of Jay Leno.

That's not exactly breaking news. But his tirade against Leno in his interview with Piers Morgan, set to air tonight on CNN, takes it to a new level.

The Sirius radio jock, who's made his feelings on The Tonight Show host known in the past, says Leno is "not fit to scrub David Letterman's feet."

Among Stern's complaints? Jay ganks jokes.

"Jay is insane. And Jay is a crook. And the world knows exactly what he's up to. He steals a tremendous amount of material," Stern told Morgan.

"This guy's ripped off like 10 major things from my show. I don't know how [Leno's] beating David Letterman in the ratings... America must be filled with morons who at night lay in bed... the ones who are watching him must be in a coma."

Yup, sums it up pretty well, we'd say.
