The gun control debate is on, and it is more heated than ever.

In the aftermath of the Connecticut school shooting, CNN's Piers Morgan absolutely went OFF on guns and gun rights advocates on his program Friday.

Wherever you stand on the issue, this is a must-watch:

The conversation got heated when Morgan asked “why on Earth” anyone would advocate for more guns, given the unspeakable carnage at Sandy Hook.

“If we could suddenly make all guns disappear, I'd have a different position,” replied Steve Dulan of the Michigan Coalition of Responsible Gun Owners.

Donald Trump was a guest on Piers Morgan Tonight on Wednesday, standing staunchly by the $5 million charity pledge he made yesterday, provided President Barack Obama releases his college transcripts.

"It's not a publicity stunt," the Celebrity Apprentice host said. "I'm not looking to pay $5 million. Frankly, I have other things. I have my own charities that I contribute to … It's a serious, very serious offer."

Trump goes on to say he's making a "positive" gesture here, trying to help Obama become more transparent while, of course, assisting a good cause.

Asks the attention-ravenous real estate mogul:

"If there's nothing wrong with his applications, if everything's fine, why wouldn't he do it? I think that would be a terrible thing of the President, to not do it in order to pick up $5 million."

Trump also suggests that Mitt Romney and the President arrive at a deal: the former releases his tax returns (which Trump hilariously refers to as "beautiful") from the last decade, while Obama comes clean with all of his transcripts.

What do you think? Of Trump? And of this question: Should Obama take the charity bait?

Kelsey Grammer took a new tact in his never-ending feud with Camille Grammer yesterday.

Instead of slamming his ex-wife in public - did you know they stopped having sex during their marriage?!? - Kelsey simply bailed on an interview with Piers Morgan because producers showed a photo of Camille at the outset of the Morgan's CNN talk show last night.

The host simply couldn't believe the reaction.

Kelsey Grammer Talk Show Photo

"Kelsey Grammer was supposed to be on my show now but ran out of the building. Strange," Morgan Tweeted, adding:

"Kelsey Grammer saw a photo of his ex wife Camille in the open to our show and legged it. Extraordinary. Never had this happen before... I had a very friendly chat with Kelsey backstage. He said he was really looking forward to the interview... this was a shockingly unprofessional thing to do. I wasn't even going to mention his ex-wife!"

In response to the incident, a rep for the actor responded via statement: "Piers needs to take responsibility for what he did to Kelsey. It's called accountability.

Speaking of which: Pssst, Kelsey. Perhaps these sorts of situations are why you were supposedly snubbed for an Emmy.

Actor Robert Blake accused CNN's Piers Morgan of calling him a liar and much more in a combative, profanity-laced interview Wednesday night.

Blake, 78, said he agreed to appear on Morgan's program to promote his self-published memoir Tales Of A Rascal, but a different topic came up.

Blake was acquitted in 2005 in connection with the murder of his wife Bonnie Lee Bakley, though he was found liable in a wrongful death lawsuit.

Ordered to pay $30 million, Blake subsequently filed for bankruptcy. When Morgan asked if he was being truthful last night, it got ugly fast.

When Morgan asked about the case, including the civil suit, Blake demanded: "Do you know why I was arrested?" "Tell me," Morgan said.

"Well, before you start asking questions, you should do some goddamn research," Blake said, later adding that "no one calls me a liar."

At one point during Blake's tirades, Morgan asked: "Are you sane?"

Since her acquittal in the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, Casey Anthony has kept a low profile, living in hiding and refusing all interviews.

But Tuesday afternoon via telephone, Anthony surprisingly spoke to CNN's Piers Morgan in a 10-minute discussion that was not played on-air.

Casey, 26, asserted her innocence, but says she's ashamed of who she was, and shed light on her current life as well as the public perception of her.

"Obviously I did not kill my daughter," Morgan quoted Anthony as saying last night "There's nothing in this world I've ever been so proud of."

"There's no one I loved more than [Caylee]. She's my greatest accomplishment."

Living in solitary seclusion, Anthony says she has reflected on some of her mistakes. "I didn't trust law enforcement because of my relationship with my father, who is ex law enforcement himself," she said.

"I didn't give them the benefit of the doubt, which is probably why they didn't give me the benefit of the doubt ... the public perception of me is bad. It's absolutely horrible. I was a stupid kid, but I've never been a 'party girl.'"

"I've gone through hell. I'm ashamed in many ways of the person I was."

Casey is now out of hiding and on the run after being served with a subpoena in the defamation case being brought by Zenaida Gonzalez.

Anthony's lawyer, Cheney Mason, appeared on Piers' program and revealed that she spends her days indoors, reading and watching television.

Her current literary fare: The Hunger Games trilogy.

Piers Morgan has banned Madonna from his show.

The reason why is a mystery, but Piers tweeted to Madge on Tuesday night, "Welcome to Twitter. You're still banned from my show. Love Piers X."

That about clears up his feelings on the singer.

Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, replied, "Really?" and attached a letter from Morgan's producer inviting Madonna to be a guest on his UK chat show.

  • Madonna at the Golden Globes
  • Morgan, Piers

Piers then tweeted back: "Madonna has only been banned from my CNN show, not my UK show, which sent that invite. But I'm now banning her from that too."

According to TMZ, Madonna sources have absolutely no idea why Piers is angry at her, adding, "She doesn't even know who he is."

Piers said in January 2011 that banned Madonna from his show for life because she's been "an irritant in my life for 20 years." Well, that'll do it.

The invite to Piers' UK show is therefore baffling, however, perhaps whomever issued it wasn't aware Piers thinks she's a grotesque con artist.

Piers Morgan is often caught in the crossfire as guests on his talk show bring controversy upon themselves, as we saw with Kirk Cameron recently.

In this case, though, it's all him stirring the pot.

Morgan spoke with the U.K.'s Mirror and didn't hold back on Kate Moss and Madonna. It's unclear exactly why, but you've gotta read these quotes:

Piers, Moss, Madonna

"Utterly horrific" is how he describes Moss, the British model. "If people actually knew what she was like, they would never, ever be interested in her."

In case utterly horrific didn't cover it. The former Daily Mirror editor claims that Moss is a low-class hack who literally kicks him at public events:

"She's just a real, spoilt little madam from Croydon. There's nothing wrong with Croydon. I was brought up near Croydon. But she's just a vile creature."

Madonna, amazingly, may have gotten even worse treatment from Piers.

"She's a complete con artist and those arms are just terrifying," he says, adding of her Madgesty's muscular physique, "It's like watching Conan the Barbarian."

"She's looking even more barbaric than ever at the moment, utterly grotesque."

Morgan says Madonna is like a "mad drunken aunt at Christmas," and "When I got the CNN job, I banned her from the show, permanently," he says.

"She responded by saying she'd never heard of me, but we know she's lying."

Remind us to call up Piers if we ever need some quotes on a slow news day.

Under fire for his anti-gay comments on Piers Morgan Tonight, former Growing Pains star Kirk Cameron defended himself in a Facebook post Tuesday.

His tone was less combative and his comments much better-worded, but Kirk did not apologize for his beliefs, or the manner in which he voiced them.

In fact, Cameron criticized the media and those contributing to the backlash, defending principles he stands for and the right to express them publicly.

The actor defended his appearance on CNN (below) this way:

"During the CNN interview, I was asked to express my views about homosexuality, gay marriage, and abortion. While that was not the agreed-upon purpose of the interview, I was pleased to answer Piers' questions as honestly as I could.

"To some, my responses were not sufficiently 'loving' toward the gay community. I can only say that it is my life's mission to love all people, and I expressed the same views clearly and emphatically expressed throughout Judeo-Christian scriptures."

"As a Bible believing Christian, I could not have answered any other way."

Kirk Cameron's recent comments to Piers Morgan on gay marriage and homosexuality in general - he's not a fan, to put it mildly - are causing quite a stir.

Cameron, a born-again Christian, said on Friday's show that he does not support gay marriage, and when it comes to homosexuality in general, he said:

"I think that it's ... unnatural. I think that it's detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization."

Piers then noted that if one of his sons told him he was gay, he'd say it's great as long as he was happy, and asked Kirk how he would treat such a situation.

Cameron responded that he'd talk to them about the "issues" we "wrestle through" in our lives and encourage them not to act on everything they feel.

He also criticized Piers for trying to "define" morality. Pot, meet kettle?

Herndon Graddick, Sr. Director of Programs at GLAAD, says Cameron, a Born-Again Christian, has views more dated than his Growing Pains character.

He calls Kirk "out of step with a vast majority of American, particularly people of faith who believe their gay and lesbian brothers and sisters should be loved and accepted based on their character, not condemned because of their sexual orientation."

GLAAD plans on monitoring Cameron's media bookings to ensure "the news and entertainment industry is aware of his outrageous anti-gay views."

Cameron has also taken on Stephen Hawking and Darwin in recent years. Spoiler alert: He doesn't subscribe to those guys' views either.

Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills said on Thursday that an infamous voicemail of hers was obtained illegally by Piers Morgan, now a talk show host on CNN.

Before winning Celebrity Apprentice as a non-celebrity and moving on to the job with CNN, Morgan spent years as a tabloid newspaper editor in Great Britain.

Mills' infamous voicemail of McCartney begging her for forgiveness was obtained illegally, she says. Morgan has boasted in the past of hearing the recording.

  • Morgan, Piers
  • Heather Mills' Bad Hair

Morgan has consistently denied he authorized the use of hacking in his tabloid days, but has not offered an explanation for how he came to hear the message.

The voicemail was left on Heather Mills' mobile phone.

The accusation has dragged Morgan back into the phone hacking scandal that damaged Rupert Murdoch's media empire and shut down The News of the World.

Giving evidence to an inquiry into British media ethics, Mills said she had left a house she shared with McCartney in early 2001 after they had had a fight.

She says she then turned her phone off, and the next morning, she had received 25 messages on her phone, all of which appeared to have been listened to.
