Apollo Nida is no longer a free man.
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star and soon-to-be-ex-husband of Phaedra Parks has turned himself in to authorities today to begin serving an eight year sentence in federal prison.
Nida pled guilty to fraud back in May, and though he was able to have his sentence and fines reduced in exchange for "cooperating with authorities" (snitching), he'll still be locked up for most of the next decade and forced to pay $2 million in restitution.
Apollo and Phaedra's relationship went downhill in the months following his conviction, with Nida publicly admitting that Parks didn't even come to his sentencing.
Apollo apparently decided to return the favor by blowing off Phaedra and their two children for his last two months as a free man.
