Miley Cyrus is hitting back after some inflammatory quotes attributed to her were published by Perez Hilton, denying she said anything about Beyonce.

The mohawked, tattooed singer covers the March issue of LOVE, and in it, according to Perez, she claimed that she is ready to fill Bey's shoes.

“Beyonce has been a big inspiration to me but she’s been out for such a long time," Miley allegedly said. "People are always looking for new blood."

"That’s what I bring to the game now, new blood. I got the total package you know, the curves, the rhythm, and the voice. I’m just the best.”

“As Beyonce grows in motherhood and all the crap it does to your body, it will create a vacuum for fresh young faces to rise up and no one else can properly fill that void right now."

"I’m the only white female singer that could fill that slot right now and do it right, you know? I’m just the total package, you know?"

Earlier today, Miley Cyrus sent a message to the world: I am not a slut.

Now, Perez Hilton has a message of his own: I am not a distributor of child pornography!

The latter statement is needed because the self-absorbed, immature celebrity gossip blogger has been accused of Tweeting an uncensored photo of Miley's crotch.

In an insincere, lame video on his website today, Perez said: "Do you think I'm stupid enough to post a photo of Miley if she's not wearing any underwear down there? No! Sure I like to seem controversial, but I don't want to go to jail."

He then published the following circled photo, which depicts Miley in the same outfit as she wore in the original, scandalous picture (below, left) and supposedly proves she was wearing underwear all along:

  • Miley Cyrus Upskirt
  • Underwear Spotted!

Click on the above photos to enlarge them. Does this put an end to Underwear Gate?

None of this changes the fact that Hilton is an absolute tool. He offers nothing interesting or creative on his blog, relying on such pathetic gimmicks as upskirt shots and penis drawings to get attention.

At this point, there's no real chance of Perez receiving any legal punishment, although a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney told Salon.com that it was "suicidal" for the blogger to distribute the image.

"We're not talking about a misdemeanor," Jeffrey Douglas said. "You don't have to know what the definition of the law is; all you have to do is knowingly distribute the photograph."

If you're curious about the definition of douche bag, by the way, don't bother opening up a dictionary. Just find a photo of Perez Hilton.

Chelsea Handler's sidekick, Chuy Bravo, was recently seen in a sex tape on a beach with another small person ... indulging in activities that are very, very NSFW.

Perez Hilton, celebrity gossip blogger extraordinaire, posted the adult material on his website. Which is what Perez does. Only in this case, did he break the law?

Very possibly. He will fight any legal action tooth and nail, of course, and there's certainly a gray area the size of California he can make his arguments within.

Many such videos, such as the John Edwards sex tape, never see the light of day because of various legal challenges, one of which may be in play in the Chuy case.

Under federal law, people who post sexual content online also have to provide a link to certain information. The linked site needs to, in essence, provide documentation that the adult film was made legally and didn't involve minors.

Perez and Chuy

Perez is no stranger to issues like the Chuy Bravo sex tape.

That's the short version, but the point is, if you're gonna post a sex tape, federal law requires a link to compliance information or an explanation why you didn't.

Hilton's Chuy Bravo sex tape post has generated a lot of controversy, but as for whether it generates consequences for him, the case becomes much more muddled.

Adult Video News columnist Tom Hymes, who has written about the Perez issue, says if prosecutors wanted to go after Perez, they would have him "dead to rights."

But it isn't necessarily likely they will. For one, a federal official, not a local police authority, would have to review Perez Hilton and decide to do something about it.

"But the Justice Department isn't doing 2257 inspections right now," he says. "They haven't been for about 6-9 months. I don't think this issue is going to have legs."

Tough luck, Chuy Bravo or anyone else wishing Perez were locked up.
