Fortunately, it does not appear to be reciprocal. We're big fans of Adam Lambert, and advocates of gay marriage. We're just anti-marrying Perez Hilton.

In an interview with Parade, the singer shares his theory on why the celebrity gossip blogger took such interest in whether or not he would come out of the closet during Season Eight of American Idol, which catapulted Adam to stardom.

"I think he might have a crush on me," Adam Lambert theorizes. "That's what it feels like at least ... but I don't have a crush on him!"

He will admit, however, that he does have a "ton of celebrity crushes" of his own. But he's also the first to realize, "I don't know if there's actually that many celebrities that play for my team that are open about it."

"Maybe you should ask someone that question about me."

Adam Lambert thinks Perez Hilton might be interested in him - and not just in the gossip sense. Fortunately for everyone, the reverse is definitely not true.

The American Idol runner-up, who has gone public with boyfriend Drake LaBry and said in no uncertain terms that he is gay in Rolling Stone, has been thrust into the spotlight even faster and more often than the show's champ, Kris Allen.

His newfound fame comes with the burden of having millions of people looking at him, and not because of his singing skills - at least not strictly for that reason. Many are looking to Lambert to be an active voice in the gay community.

"[I do feel the pressure] a little bit, by default," he admits.

"Honestly, I'm so wrapped up in the process of creating music that I don't really have the energy to go there right now. Who knows what the future may hold, but I'm an entertainer and that's what I want to put my energy into right now."

Carrie Prejean is really gonna hate this.

A trio of celebrities - one gay, one straight and one bisexual - has come together to help film a PSA on behalf of the NOH8 Campaign.

The video below is a response to today's ruling by California's Supreme Court, which held up that state's Prop 8 ban against gay marriage.

We're advocates for equal rights, but it's hard to see how anyone can take your cause too seriously when Tila Tequila - a woman who forced potential suitors on her VH1 reality show to eat pig vagina in order to prove their worth as a love interest - is a prominent voice for it.

Perez Hilton has always made a living poking fun at (and drawing male sex organs on) celebrities. But he's also become one - powerful and wide-reaching.

"I don't consider myself a celebrity because for every two people that like me, there's probably 3 1/2 that don't," opined Hilton, who says he doesn't care if people don't like him, "I just care if you still read my Web site."

And Perez clearly loves to stir the pot.

As if being asked to judge the Miss USA pageant wasn't enough, Hilton went for a bigger splash, asking one of the finalists, Miss California Carrie Prejean, her opinion on the controversial subject of same-sex marriage.

Prejean's responses then and since - homosexual marriage is wrong, people choose to be gay, etc. - have become the hot topic on the talk-show circuit and only bolstered Perez's status as a celebrity and gay rights advocate.

LOVE HIM, HATE HIM: Either way, Perez's influence is undeniable.

Making his own media rounds, he defended the same-sex marriage question as fair and relevant. Prejean stands by her remarks; Hilton stands by his.

It's become an epic feud with the battle lines clearly drawn.

"I said she was a dumb b!tch," Hilton (a.k.a. Mario Lavandeira) said, not backing down in the slightest. "Well, you know what? What she said in that answer was that I am a second-class citizen that doesn't deserve full equality under the law."

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag may be shameless, self-promoting and annoying, but the Bible-reading Hills pair believes all human beings are equal and should receive the same rights they will enjoy when they get married Saturday.

In the wake of the ongoing controversy surrounding Carrie Prejean, the Miss USA runner-up who says Perez Hilton's question about - and her opposition to - gay marriage cost her the crown, Twitter-obsessed Spencer wrote to Perez:

"This Miss USA question was genius! GOD is ALL LOVE so any way that people try to use GOD to make other people feel bad is PURE EVIL!!!"

We can't believe we're saying it, but Mr. Pratt actually deserves some props for this profoundly simple point. As does his plastic bride-to-be.

On her Twitter page, Heidi Montag offered support for the celebrity gossip blogger and gays and lesbians across the world, Tweeting passionately:

"God says in the bible that we should love our neighbor and he created us all as equals. I know in my heart that gays and lesbians should have the same government rights that Spencer and I will when we get married. So, yes, this blonde Christian believes in gay marriage and I hope to one day go to YOUR wedding, Perez!!!"

Take that, Carrie Prejean.

And it's not just Speidi - you can count Miley Cyrus as a member of Team Perez, as well. Here's what the 16-year-old star had to Twitter:

"Jesus loves you AND your partner and wants you to know how much he cares! thats like a daddy not loving his lil boy cuz hes gay and that is WRONG and very sad! like i said everyone deserves to be happy ... i am a christian and i love you - gay or not. BECAUSE you are no different that anyone else! we are all gods children!"

Praise? Thoughts? Criticisms? Reponses? Have at it!

The gay marriage debate has found its way into the celebrity gossip world.

As previously reported and depicted, Miss USA judge Perez Hilton asked contestant Carrie Prejean for her views on the controversial topic. She replied:

We live in a land that you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage and, you know what, in my country and my family I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anyone out there, but that's how I was raised and that's how I think it should be between a man and a woman.

Carrie Prejean doesn't believe in gay marriage. We don't believe she offered any reasonable explanation for this view.

Hilton, as you might expect, was aghast at the response.

So was Keith Lewis, the Executive Director of Miss California USA/Teen USA. He wrote the following to Hilton's website:

"As co-executive director of Miss CA USA and one of the leaders of the Miss CA family, I am personally saddened and hurt that Miss CA USA 2009 believes marriage rights belong only to a man and a woman. Although I believe all religions should be able to ordain what unions they see fit, I do not believe our government should be able to discriminate against anyone. Religious beliefs have no place in politics in the Miss CA family."

Lewis neededn't have added the final few words. Religious beliefs have no place in politics. Period.

Last night, Kristen Dalton was crowned Miss USA.

While the hopeful motivational speaker clearly earned the crown on her own merit, it didn't hurt when Carrie Prejean (Miss California) lost the support of one judge following her response to his question in the interview round.

Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton asked Prejean for her opinion on the legalization of gay marriage.

After stumbling through an answer that included how great it is for America to give its citizens the choice of same-sex unions versus those involving the opposite sex, Prejean said she was raised to believe marriage is only between a man and a woman.

Our staff is as pro-gay marriage as we are anti-Perez Hilton, so we're equally disappointed by Miss California's reply.

At the conclusion of his magic show in Las Vegas Friday night, Criss Angel called out celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

"I have to recognize someone special here in the house," said Angel, according to a witness. "Perez Hilton, please stand up.... We have the world's biggest douchebag asshole in the house!"

According to reports, Perez Hilton smiled broadly and replied: "Thanks for the free tickets."

Why did Angel berate the blogger?

Sources say those close to the magician - who has somehow dated Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Holly Madison - saw Hilton's Twitter page, which carried real-time updates of the supposedly awful show. They read: "unbelievably BAD!" and "I would rather be getting a root canal."

It's time to choose a side in this battle between blowhards. Whose team are you on?

The Hollywood Gossip is nothing if not professional.

Despite our well-publicized feud with fellow celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton, we're willing to put feelings aside in order to deliver news and photos to our readers. That's what our job is all about.

Hilton turned 31 over the weekend and celebrated the milestone like only he can: by throwing himself a lavish birthday party at The Viper Room in Los Angeles. Only the least talented of the useless celebs best of the best were in attendance.

Here's a shot of Kim Kardashian at the celebration, for example. She may have left Reggie Bush at home, but the reality TV star didn't forget to bring her cleavage:

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag - who have remained relatively silent over the last few months - were also spotted at the event.

Without bloggers such as Perez, this couple would be forced to make a living in ways that don't include simply posing for photos at the beach.
