Paula Goodspeed was a contestant on season five of American Idol.
She failed miserably during her audition, however - and, sadly, she never got over it.
The obsessed Paula Abdul fan was diagnosed with a mental illness and committed suicide outside of the Idol judge's home on the night of November 11, 2008. It's a tragic story and we send our thoughts out to the family of Paula Goodspeed.

Would I sya that the judges of AI are responsible for her tragic death?No I would not.Had she of knocked them out at her audition she would have moved up a notch.Only a notch.Showbiz folks comes complete with no guarantees or as daffy duck said "you have to kill yourself to make it inm this town."If you are going to audtion as a singer for anything I would forget building an image and concentrate on a full vocal warm up of the major and minor scales and knock them dead out with your voice.If you have something that they want they will dress you and style your hair.The toughest thing about an audition is going from 0 to 100,preparation is ALWAYS the key to success.
